  • Day 2 Old Delhi And New Delhi Tour

      Old Delhi And New Delhi Tour

      The morning begins with refreshing breakfast. Your guide will meet you at your hotel and ready toshow you the best of Old and New Delhi. The tour will start with Old Delhi where you will visit the Jama Mosque- the largest mosque of India. In continuation we take a Rickshaw ride (Pedi cabs)through the 300 years old Chandni Chowk bazaar to explore the historical lanes of Old Delhi andAsias largest spice market.

      At the end of the rickshaw ride we move on to Raj Ghat, the memorial of father of the nationMahatma Gandhi. It is a peaceful place with beautiful gardens.

      Later we head to British Delhi (New Delhi), drive pass the official home of President of India(Rashtrapati Bhavan) and Indias highest legislative body the parliament building. Also visit the Iconic India gate memorial to 90,000 India soldiers who died during World War 1.

      After leisurely breakfast we drive to Pink city Jaipur by road, passing through rural villages, Aravalli hills and agricultural land. Upon arrival in Jaipur check in to the hotel. Rest of the day is completely yours.


      If you wish to visit some places the transport is available for you and your options are :

      Galta Ji is a large Hindu temple complex that lies 10 km outside of Jaipur city. Galta Ji Jaipur is a unique Hindu temple as it is centered on a natural spring that has been channeled to fill seven large pools. In these pools pilgrims come to bath away their sins while, at quiet moments, the playful monkeys can be found swimming in the holy waters. The temple is also home to a large colony of monkeys and this has given rise to the common name of the complex, the monkey temple.

      Laxmi Narayana Temple is an example of marvellous architecture. There are idols of Hindu Gods and Goddess, Hindy symbols, ancient quotes. On walls mythological events are carved and there are idols and images of saints, philosopher and historian like Buddha, Socrates, Zarathustra and Confucius.

      After breakfast Visit Panna Meena ka Kund: A 16th-century step well Panna Meena Ka Kund is one of the most ancient living structures. It is believed this spot once hosted numerous popular festivals, weddings, and religious ceremonies.


      Visit Amer fort 11 kms outside of Jaipur the former medieval capital, built by Raja Man Singh the commander of Rajput Akbar army in 1592. This landmark is a splendid representation of Rajput architecture. Enjoy your drive up to the fort passing through some of the oldest house and temple of the old city.


      After that thrilling ride youll steady your feet and be awestruck by the marvellous sight before you, marble palaces, mosaics, paintings, mirror works, carvings, mural walls and engravings. When touring Amber fort dont forget to visit 17 century Sheesh mahal (Hall of Mirrors), a chamber decorated with an array of mirrors on the walls and ceiling. The zenana courtyard, is a place you must see. It is a private womens residence designed with one corridor but different rooms so that the Maharaja (King) could visit the wife or concubines of his choice, at his pleasure without the others knowing.


      After visiting Amer fort, return to the city en route stop for the picture at Jal mahal (Water Palace), is a five story high palace located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. The four floor stay under the water it is only the fifth floor which is visible.


      Your next visit is the glorious City Palace; when you visit you get a feel for the wealth of Jaipurs royal family one of the richest in India. for a beautiful display of intricate craftsmanship see the superb peacock gate which shows off spectacular and bright peacock images at the entrance that will make you go WOW !Visit one of the best museums in India with an art gallery and exhibits of royal costumes and medieval Indian armaments. Admire an exclusive collection of regal costumes and marvellous shawls like the pashmina. In the middle of the place complex stands a pink and white marble paved gallery where the Maharaja conferred with their ministers called the Diwan-I-Khas (Hall of private audience). It is here that you will find what are considered to be the biggest silver object on earth; these are two mammoth silver vessels 1.6 m tall.


      Afterwards you visit Jantar mantar a gigantic solar observatory with a brilliant display of Indian architecture that shows the scientific expertise that existed in medieval India. It is made up of some 14 most important geometric devices which track the location of stars, measure time, predict eclipses, as well as earths orbit around the sun. It will be a surprise to you when you see that these instruments which the ancient people made of stone can carry out the same measurements of time and the suns movements as our modern day technology.


      Drive past Hawa mahal (Wind Palace) was built so that the royal ladies could view the Royal processions without anyone seeing them. If you have ever seen a giant beehive than that gives you an idea of the look of this five storey building. The Hawa mahal is beautifully decorated with lattice work, has some 953 tiny windows (Jharokhas).


      Later our driver will take you to explore some hidden Gem known as Patrika Gate. Click some famous pictures over there. At last we visit to famous Rajmandir Cinema hall.

      In the evening enjoy Sunset view of Tajmahal from Mehtab Bagh. Evening will be at your leisure. Overnight stay in Agra.

      In the morning transfer to Delhi airport to catch flight to Varanasi. Our represenative will meet you upon arrival at the Varanasi airport. Transfer to hotel.

      Afternoon is free to take some rest.

      Varanasi  A city of Light , it is said to be one of the oldest inhabited and most exciting cities in theworld, which has been standing the test of time for over 5,ooo years.

      Later visit Bharat Mata Temple, is among the beautiful temples constructed in 1936 by BabuShiv Prasad Gupt, a Gandhian follower. It is situated within the campus of Mahatma Gandhi KashiVidyapeeth. The shrine is dedicated to Mother India and possesses a beautiful marble structure, which was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi.

      Durga Temple, dedicated to Goddess Durga, is one of the popular temples, which is also known asthe monkey temple. Constructed during 18th century by a Bengali Maharani, the temple possessesNorth Indian or Nagara style of architecture.

      Visit Dassawamedh Ghat is one of the prominent ghats, situated on the banks of river Ganges. Theghat is visited by Hindu devotees in large number due to the religious significance of ten sacrificed horses. It is believed that ten horses were sacrificed by Lord Brahma to allow Lord Shiva return fromthe period of banishment. Assi Ghat is the southernmost Ghat in Varanasi, situated at the assemblage of Ganges and Assirivers. The ghat is a sacred place as pilgrims offer prayers to a huge shivalingam placed under apeepal tree after bathing in the river.

      In the Evening we will visit the Ghats of Varanasi and witness the Ganges prayer. The prayer of 45minutes is a real spectacle. This is a religious ritual worshiping Ganga Maiya (Holy Mother Ganga,).

      The sound of hand pumped harmonium, tabla and bells with the fragrance of incense makesenvironment so amazing. The magical content of Prayer cannot be easily explained but it can easilyexperience.

      We will wake up early for Boat ride at sunrise is one of the experiences not to be missed when invaranasi . It gives a glimpse of morning life along the Ghats and stunning views sun rising fromeastern horizon.

      Later we will take a walk to the narrow streets to reach the heart of the city to experience the lifestyle of people, feel the culture of the city and also visit Manikaran Ghat: The ancient Hinducremation place.

      We return to our hotel for breakfast. In the afternoon we will do most popular excursion to Sarnath located 13 kms north east of Varanasi. Another sacred place where Lord Buddha delivered his firstsermon in a deer park. Dhamek stupa, Founded by the king Ashoka in 249 BC,is the one of the mostprominent Buddhist structure in India.

      Also visit Archaeological Museum, Sarnath.The buildings form half of a monastery in plan. There are five galleries and two verandas. Theantiquities in the museum are datable 3rd century BC to 12th century AD.

      Return to Varanasi. Evening will be at your leisure.
