  • Day 1 Day 1: Delhi
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Delhi

      Your driver in an air conditioned car will pick you up from the airport. After pick up you will be transferred to your hotel in Delhi. On arrival check in at the hotel.

      Once settled, meet your private tour guide and begin your sightseeing tour by visiting RajGhat, located on the banks of the river Yamuna. This is Mahatma Gandhis memorial, where he was cremated following his assassination in January 1948. The memoriallies in the midst of landscaped gardens and is made of a simple square platform of black marble inscribed with his last words Hey Ram.

      After Raj Ghat, visit Red Fort (closed on Monday). The 17th-century stunning fortress built in red sandstone is surrounded by a huge 108-foot boundary wall. Inside are exquisite palaces and beautiful gardens. Opposite the Red Fort lies Jama Masjid (Friday mosque) made of red sandstone and white marble. It is Indias largest mosque where more than 20,000 people can kneel in prayer at one time.

      After lunch (at your own expense), visit New Delhi and Humayuns Tomb, built by Humayunโ€™s wife Haji Begum in the 16th century. It is an early example of Mughal architecture considered the predecessor of the Taj Mahal. After Humayunโ€™s Tomb visit Qutub Minar which is 237-feet high and is the landmark of Delhi.

      After Qutub Minar, proceed to drive past the Rashtrapati Bhawan/Presidentโ€™s House, the official residence of the President of India. Later visit the India Gate, which commemorates the 70,000 Indian soldiers who died in the 1st World War.

      Today after breakfast drive straight towards Agra. On arrival check inn at the hotel.

      Once settled, start your sightseeing with a visit to the fascinating Taj Mahal - A Symbol of Love. Your guide in Agra will meet you at the Taj Mahal and will show you around the monument. Take time to admire the majestic and the most beautiful buildings in the world.

      Next, visit Agra Fort, one of the finest Mughal forts in India. Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar in 1565, is a massive red sandstone fort on the bank of Yamuna River. Your guide will explain the history of Agra Fort. Next, visit Itmad-ud-Daulah, a tomb which has a special place in the chronicles of both history as well as architecture. Itmad-ud-Daulah is actually a mausoleum that overlooks the Yamuna River. Admire the very first tomb in India that was made entirely out of Marble.

      Next, visit Mehtab Bagh, which is a series of 11 parks on the Yamunaโ€™s eastbank.

      After breakfast, you will be driven to Jaipur.

      En-route, visit Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri was the capital of the Mughal Empire between 1571 and 1585.

      Afterward, continue on your journey and when you arrive in Jaipur check in at your hotel. You may then enjoy your evening in Jaipur at your leisure.

      After breakfast at the hotel, meet your private tour guide and start your sightseeing of Jaipur by visiting the Amber Fort. Enjoy the experience of ride on an elephantโ€™s back to and from the top of the hill where the fort is situated. In addition, your guide will explain to you the rich history of Amber Fort.

      Next, visit the City Palace in the heart of Jaipur, which is known for its blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Enjoy the fine collection of textiles, costumes and armor at the City Palace.

      Next, visit Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds. This building was constructed so the royal women could watch the royal processionswithout being seen.

      Finally, view the stargazing observatory of Jantar Mantar, built by the renowned astronomer, Maharaja Jai Singh.

      - Pushkar Lake - The prime attraction of Pushkar is the Pushkar Lake which is considered sacred like the Mansarovar Lake in Tibet. Pushkar has become a place of Hindu pilgrimage because of this holy lake. Legend has it that this lake was consecrated to Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe when a lotus dropped from his hand into the vale and a lake emerged in that place.

      - Brahma Temple - The most important temple in Pushkar is the Temple of Lord Brahma, one of the holy trinity of Hinduism. The temple enshrines a life-size idol of Lord Brahma.

      - Savitri Temple - This temple that is located at the top of the Ratnagiri Hill is dedicatedto Savitri, the wife of Lord Brahma. The temple houses a statue of Goddess Savitri.

      - Old Pushkar- Old Pushkar lake is rebuilt and is located around 5 km from Pushkarlake. According to the ancient texts, Old Pushkar has equal cultural and religious significance for the pilgrims.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Pushkar - Mandawa

      Today after breakfast drive straight towards Mandawa. On arrival check in at the hotel.

      Once settled, enjoy Mandawa sightseeing by visiting havelis. Just like any other township in the Shekhawati region, Mandawa also homes a number of havelis, thereis nothing special or things to do for havelis, but there are stories and there is art to appreciate, you just need to have the eyes for it.

      You must visit Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli, Double Haveli and Jhunjhunwala Haveli in Mandawa.

      Also visit renowned open art gallery because of the majority ofthe wall paintings and extensive frescoes paintings.
