      Delhi City Tour 

      After some rest take sightseeing tour of historic city visiting Old Delhi visiting the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of Taj Mahal fame.

      Later sightseeing continues to visit New Delhi include RashtrapatiBhawan, one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; Humayunโ€™s Tomb, QutubMinar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty;

      Move to Agra by one of Indiaโ€™s faster chilled trains ( Approx 3 hours / 230 km ). Soaked in Mughal heritage, Agra has a treasure of gardens, temples and open rooftops. Explore Taj Mahal and realize why Emperor Shah Jahan built a commemorative to his wife Mumtaz.

      Walk around Agra in a motor-powered rickshaw and travel around the remarkable sandstone walls of the Red Fort, built to cover the imperial city of the Mughal rulers in the 16th century. If you have time, move to Itmad โ€“ Ul โ€“ Daulatabad, which is also known as baby Taj.

      • Explore Agra which is one of those oldest living cities of India where the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort illustrate the traditional culture of medieval era.
      • Visit Taj Mahal ( Closed on Fridayโ€™s ) at the time of sunset for stunning views.

      Today you will be taken by a private vehicle to FatehpurSikri ( Approx 1.5 Hours ). Constructed under the supremacy of Emperor Akbhar, it was deserted soon after his death due to scarcity of available water. The magnificent mosque, Jama Masjid, gives an attractive pose within the location, blending Persian and Hindu aesthetics.

      See its stunning 54 โ€“ metre โ€“ high main entrance called Buland Darwaza ( Gate of Victory ) which memorialises Akbarโ€™s great victory in Gujarat. By road resume your drive to Bharatpur, and then by train reach SawaiMadhopur ( Ranthambhore National Park ) ( Approx two hours ) โ€“ the โ€˜Jungle Bookโ€™ brought to life!

      Ranthambhore National Park was once a famed hunting ground for the Maharajas of Jaipur, and was one of the unique Project Tiger reserves. Discover the relics of the parkโ€™s 10th โ€“ century fort, and in the evening, take a shared canter safari in search of tigers and other wildlife.


      Note:

      Ranthambhore National Park is sealed between 1 July and 30 September each year. On those trips involved, weโ€™ll visit adjoining Sawai Mansingh Sanctuary. Sawai Mansingh Sanctuary is situated approx. 16 km from Ranthambhore and is due to its hilly terrain isnโ€™t disturbed by the monsoon. Tigers reside in these areas and spotting are more encouraging at this time of year as they move away from flooded areas of Ranthambhore.

      • Enjoy Ranthambhore tiger safaris where Royal Bengal tigers can be seen near cascading waterfall, marshy groves and near the lakes even during daytime or basking under the sun.

      Proceed by train to Jaipur. On arrival in Jaipur, take an orientation tour of the โ€˜Pink Cityโ€™ of Jaipur. Get amidst the crowds of the cityโ€™s bazaars to shop for artisan goods and semi-precious stones.

      Visit the Amber Fort, Located on a hilltop overseeing Maota Lake, the fort is an outstanding illustration of Rajput architecture. Move into the Sheesh Mahal ( Hall of Mirrors ) is an unforgettable experience. As the walls are fully enclosed in little mirrors, the hall illumines with the light of a single match.


      • Opt for Rajasthani Dinner with Folk Dance show in a theme restaurant of Jaipur. 
      • Opt for shopping in lively markets of Jaipur.
  • Day 7 Day 7: In Jaipur

      This morning, take an voluntary hot air balloon ride. Hovering across the skyline of Jaipur in a hot air balloon can be a feature of the tour. Take a cycle rickshaw to Hawa Mahal, also famous as the โ€˜Palace of the Windsโ€™.

      Alternatively, go to Jaipurโ€™s Royal City Palace or the observatory of Jantar Mantar to see a group of astronomical instruments. After a long day of assessment, possibly proceed to the Raj Mandir Cinema to experience the fascination of a Bollywood film.

      Today utter โ€˜goodbyeโ€™ to the North and hop on a plane to peaceful South. Your next stop is Kochi, a once main spice โ€“ trading centre thatโ€™s divided amidst the mainland and a cluster of islands just off the coast. Cochin, is mainly famous for mesmerizing softening pot of Portuguese, Dutch, Chinese and British influences.

      See spice markets, Chinese fishing nets, a Portuguese palace, the first European church in India, and 17th century Dutch homes. If you have time available then you can meander down to the beach at sunset, or possibly seek out the best coconut curry in town.


      •  Watch Chinese fishing nets similar to aliens from Ridley Scott sci-fi film, are functioning endlessly for past six hundred years, in Cochin, Kerala
      • Go for famous Kerala Fish curry where seer fish from the ocean, cooked in coconut milk with green chillies and curry leaves makes the fish utterly delicious to eat, in Cochin, Kerala

      Today jump on a local ferry to Mattancherry and abandon near 16th Century Dutch Palace. It was in fact built by the Portuguese, but the Dutch took it over, upgraded it, and then offered it to the Kings of Cochin. Later, stroll around the spice bazaars and old-fashioned stores of Fort Cochin.


      This evening you will experience a Kathakali concert. This Kerala dance is an ornamentally costumed demonstration of storytelling, a lively and surprising form of theatre that requires whole control of the body.

      From the convincing palm trees, lavish rice paddies and curving waterways of the Kerala area, proceed to the dense jungle and spice plantations of Thekkady ( approximately four hours ). Take some time to relax and calm down into the hotel before discovering the regional area.

      This area is famous for its spice growing, so in the evening get ready for aromatic tour of a spice plantation and unearth local ginger, cardamom, vanilla, pepper, cinnamon, clove and more.

      Switch jungles for backwaters, departing Periyar and heading to realize sleepy Alappuzha ( approximately three hours ). Board a characteristic Keralan houseboat to voyage through the complex system of stunning lagoons and canals identified as โ€˜ Malabar Backwaters โ€™.


      These sailing cottages have western toilets, private bedrooms, a dining area and sundeck to relax on. The backwaters are best discovered by boat as life circles around the water here.
