  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival: Delhi To Doon Valley (D)

      Upon arrival at Delhi - Indira Gandhi International Airport, be transferred to Doon Valley. After checking-in to the resort, relax for the day or you could go on an evening walk in the valley near the river. Enjoy the majestic night view of Mussoorie town, from there.

      After breakfast, visit Mussoorie. Visit the Kempty Falls (15 km from the town), Lal Tibba which is located on the highest peak in Mussoorie and offers stunning views of the surrounding Himalayas. Then, head to Gun Hill, Mussoorieโ€™s second-highest peak or just stroll down the camelโ€™s back road of Mussoorie to get a feel of the hill town.

      Later visit Dhanaulti, another hill town of the Garhwal Himalayas. This quaint town is enveloped by the velvety rhododendrons, deodar, and tall oak forests. Here, visit Dhanaulti Eco Park, where you will find some old deodar trees. End the day with a visit to Aloo Khet which is a perfect example of community farming of potatoes in the mountain terrains and also offers panoramic views of the Doon Valley. In the evening, return to Walterre.

      Today, post breakfast, check-out at 09:30 Hrs and drive to Rishikesh. On arrival in Rishikesh, check-in to your hotel and spend the afternoon at leisure.

      The tranquil town of Rishikesh is considered as the โ€˜Yoga Capital of the Worldโ€™ and gained fame when the Beatles visited the town in the 1960s. On this day, visit the ashrams (centres for spiritual studies) and also learn about the city, culture, Hindu religion, temples and holy river Ganga.

      In the evening, visit Ram Jhula, Lakshman Jhula suspension bridges, which is believed to be at the same spot from where Lord Lakshman crossed the river with the help of a jute rope bridge. From here, head to Swarg Ashram- a community made up of temples, shops, eateries and bathing ghats. Visit Gita Bhavan located on the banks of the Ganges and then to Parmarth Niketan to witness the remarkable Ganga Aarti.

      Spend the day exploring in and around Rishikesh. Be received at your hotel and visit the Beatles Ashram, where the famous stars stayed. From here drive to Haridwar (30-minutes drive) and watch the Ganga Aarti.

      Be transferred back to your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure.

      Suggested: During the day, you can visit Jumpin Heights, an amusement park famous for its bungee jump, canyon swing and Asiaโ€™s longest flying fox. Alternatively, you can try white water rafting, a famous activity throughout Rishikesh. You can end the day with a visit to one of the several cafes.

      After breakfast, be transferred to Corbett. We aim to arrive by early afternoon and on arrival, check-in to the resort and spend the afternoon at leisure.

      In the evening, spend time at Kosi River, which crosses the National Park. It is the perfect place to unwind and experience the pristine environment and quietude.

      Go on morning and afternoon safaris into Corbett National Park to spot tigers, leopards, elephants, and a lot of other wildlife!

      Today you set out early on a game safari in Corbett National Park. Return to the lodge for breakfast and spend the afternoon at leisure. Lunch at the resort is followed by an afternoon safari in Corbett. Post safari, return to the resort and spend the evening relaxing before enjoying a scrumptious dinner.

      Apart from the tigers and leopards, there are smaller felines in the park including the jungle cats and the fishing cats. Other mammals include barking deer, sambar deer, hog deer, blackbucks, chitals, sloth bears, Himalayan black bears, Indian grey mongooses, otters, yellow-throated martens, ghorals, Indian pangolins, langurs and Rhesus monkeys.

      You can also visit the Garjiya Devi temple, that is situated before the Dhikala Gate of Corbett, located on the top of the hill alongside the Kosi River and offers panoramic views. Here, one can enjoy the beauty of the banks of the Kosi river.

      Go into Corbett National Park for the morning and the afternoon safaris.

      Corbett is a popular bird-watching destination as it is home to more than 600 species of birds including domestic birds and migratory birds. Some of the common resident birds are grey herons, cattle egrets, white-necked and black-necked storks, spot bills, large pied wagtails, and white-capped

      redstarts.

      The birds of prey include crested-serpent eagles, black-winged kites, Indian shikras, Himalayan greyheaded fishing eagles, Himalayan vultures, and lesser and greater spotted eagles. If youโ€™re lucky you might spot elusive birds like hawk-eagles, crested honey buzzards, and black eagles.

      After breakfast, check-out of the resort and drive to Pangot with en-route stops at Kaladungi to visit Jim Corbettโ€™s bungalow, which has now been converted into a museum and Corbett Waterfalls, which is surrounded by forests with natural silence and scenic beauty. 

      From here, continue the drive to Pangot. On arrival in Pangot, check-in to the lodge and in the afternoon, you could go on short treks through the dense forest of Rhododendron and Oak.

      Today you can either spend the day exploring in and around Pangot or go on a day-trip to Nainital. 

      In Pangot, you could opt for short treks or birdwatching. 

      Alternatively, go on a full-day excursion with packed lunch to Nainital, the charming lake town. Here you can opt for boating in the Naini lake (Optional activity- Cost is not included). From Mallital Area of the lake, take a ropeway ride and reach the snow viewpoint, from where you can enjoy views of the town. Later visit the Eco Biological Park, Himalaya Darshan View Point, for 180-degree views of the Himalayan Ranges of Trishul, Neelkanth, Choukhamba, Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, Panchchulli. Later visit Dorothyโ€™s Seat, where you will get to hear the folklores related to a couples love for each other. Before returning back to Nainital, a must-visit place would be the Himalayan Zoo.

      Post breakfast at the lodge, check-out at 10:00 hrs and drive to Bhimtal. On arrival, check-in to the resort.

      Spend the rest of the day in Sat Tal / Bhimtal area. Sat Tal is a cluster of seven interconnected freshwater lakes that are set among picturesque forests of oak and pine. The quaint town of Bhimtal in the Nainital district has a beautiful lake and island at its center. You can opt for a short Nature trek into the woods or activities like a river crossing.

      Enjoy breakfast at the resort and spend the day exploring the Sat Tal, Bhimtal areas. 

      You can opt for birdwatching in Sat Tal or visit Sat Tal Lake, Bhimtal, Naukuchiatal, etc. You can also, opt for Paragliding in Bhimtal or other adventure activities in Sat Tal (Optional activities- Cost is not included).
