What physical condition do I need to complete this experience?

You will climb a high altitude mountain from its base. This experience is a big physical challenge, so we recommend this experience to anyone who leads an active life and does cardiovascular exercise at least two times per week.

How is the weather in this experience?

Because of the altitude, it is always cold. From November to February, you can find sporadic snowfalls and low temperatures of -5 ºC. From March to June, the sky tends to be clear and you can reach temperatures of up to 0 ºC. From July to October, there may be heavy rains at night and cloudy skies. Even so, it is important to consider that in the mountains the weather can vary a lot, and despite the forecast, you always have to be prepared for any type of weather.

Is it mandatory to carry the necessary gear?

Yes. It is important to leave with everything you need; without it, this experience can go from being a great moment in your life, to being something uncomfortable and even dangerous.

What is the size of the group?

You will be with 12 people or less, plus 2 guides and a cook

At what time will the adventure end on the last day?

You will return to Guadalajara at 8 pm.

What's the accommodation like?

You will spend the night camping under the stars.

What size of backpack or suitcase should I bring?

We suggest travelling light, no more than 10 kg, with a backpack that holds everything necessary for the experience.

Where does the experience begin?

You have to get to the meeting point in Guadalajara at the red towers in the Metropolitan Park by 6:30 am to depart towards the mountain.

What is not included?

Meals, entrance fees ($70 MXN, approximate price), camping equipment, and sleeping bag.

When is the best season to go on this adventure?

This is perfect for any time of the year.

Do I need any specific medical records or vaccination?

You must be in very good shape to handle hiking at 4000 meters above sea level. If you are under any medication, please consult your physician beforehand.

What happens if I get sick or injured during the trip and I can't go on?

The guide or staff would take you to a safe zone, and according to the level of the injury, you would be evacuated.

What happens if I’m traveling by myself? Is it possible?

Yes! You will meet travelers with the same interests and love for outdoor activities.

Is there an age range for his experience?

Yes, the suggested age range is from 12- 55.
