  • Day 6 Travel To Pokhara
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Travel To Pokhara

Enjoying a leisurely breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Pokhara, a journey that takes approximately 4 ยฝ to 5 hours. Pokhara, the second-largest town in Nepal after Kathmandu, is renowned for its numerous lakes and caves. This picturesque destination offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges, including Machhapucchre, Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna, when the weather is clear.

      ยญ

One of the notable attractions in Pokhara is the Barahi Temple, a two-story pagoda situated on a small island in Phewa Lake, surrounded by spectacular scenery. Dedicated to Goddess Ajima in the form of a boar named Barahi, this Hindu temple holds significance as it symbolizes the piercing of evil enemies with her pointed tusks. The deity, Barahi, is depicted with the face of a boar, holding a cup in one hand and a fish in the other. The Barahi Temple serves as a vital center of worship for Hindu devotees, attracting both locals and tourists who consistently visit to pay their respects to the goddess.

  • Day 7 Tour Around Pokhara Valley.
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Tour Around Pokhara Valley.

Take a 45-minute drive from Pokhara to Naudanda, and start your hike there. Naudanda is 1600 meters above sea level. Naudanda is a small hill from which you can see green hills and the mountain ranges of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu. The hike starts at the top of the ridge and goes through the town for an hour. After three to four hours, youโ€™ll reach Sarangkot, where you can eat and drink. After that, youโ€™ll walk down for twenty minutes and then drive to Pokhara. After lunch, go on a tour of Pokharaโ€™s Bindhabasini Temple, Deviโ€™s Fall, and Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave.

One of the oldest temples in Pokhara is Bindhabasini Temples, which is on top of a small hill 25 minutes from the lake. The god is said to have come from Uttar Pradesh in India. In addition to the peace and quiet that you can feel in this area, on a clear day you can see the Himalayas from the temple grounds. Deviโ€™s fall is a beautiful waterfall that is 2 km southwest of Pokhara. It is also called Patal Chango, which means "underground waterfall." There are other falls in the country, but this one is unique because it marks the spot where the Pardi Khola stream disappears underground. During the summer and rainy season, the waterfall looks like it really is, with rushing water splashing and rushing through the rocks, making big water bubbles that can get really wet.

The Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is on the other side of the road, across from Deviโ€™s Fall. People say that itโ€™s one of Nepalโ€™s longest caves (2950m). A local story says that the cave was found in the 1600s. The Dark Cave is split into two parts. In one part, you can find many shrines and statues of Lord Shiva and other Hindu gods. There is a beautiful view and sound of Deviโ€™s fall in the second part of the cave. The fall runs through Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave. People also like this cave because of the different shapes that the limestone layers have made. Inside the cave, taking pictures is not allowed at all.
