Guided Sightseeing To Pashupatinath, Boudha And Bhaktapur

Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath, a pagoda style Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is considered to be the powerhouse of Hindu spiritual power in religious terms. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple is 6 kms from Kathmandu city and just a few hundred meters from the end of the runway at Tribhuwan International Airport. Non-Hindus are not allowed to enter the main temple, but you can view the temple from the east bank of River Bagmati. Pashupatinath is the centre of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March. Behind the temples are the cremation grounds. BoudhnathStupa: Listed in the UNESCO World Heritage list, this enormous stupa where thousands of pilgrims gather daily to make a ritual circumnavigation of the dome, beneath the watchful eyes of the Buddha, which gaze out from the gilded central tower. This is one of the few places in the world where Tibetan Buddhist culture is accessible and unfetered, and the lanes around the stupa are crammed with monasteries and the surrounding is a paraphernalia for Buddhist life. Bhaktapur City: As that of Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square, this is the third medieval city-states in Kathmandu Valley which is home of medieval art and architecture. Located 14 kms east of Kathmandu City, this place was founded in the 9th Century. Bhaktapur has three major squares full of towering array of temples overlooked by the Palace of 55 windows built by King Bupatindra Malla. The Nyatapola Temple, also built by King BhupatindraMalla, is the best example of Pagoda style and stands on five terraces on each of which stands a pair of figures - two famous strong men, two elephants, two lions, two griffins and two goddesses. From Bhaktapur we drive back to Kathmandu. • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Hike To Sarangkot (1600M/5249Ft) For Sunrise 15Km, 3-4 Hours Hike; Pokhara Sightseeing

Early in the morning we leave for Sarangkot, a hill in the north-west region of Pokhara that overlooks the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges in the north and the main city in the south. We leave our vehicle at Naudanda and start our hike to Sarangkot from where we get amazing views of sunrise over the annapurna range. Phewa Lake is a semi natural freshwater lake at an altitude of 742m located in the south of the Pokhara. The Annapurna range on the north is only about 28 km (linear distance) away from the lake, and the lake is famous for the reflection of mount Machhapuchhre and other mountain peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges on its surface. The Barahi Temple is situated on an island in the lake and thick forest lies on the adjoining southern slopes of the lake. Daviโ€™s fall: Locally known as PataleChhango is an awesome waterfall lying about 2 km south-west of Pokhara airport on the highway to Tansen. The water that feeds the Daviโ€™s Fall comes from the Phewa Lake, which follows a rocky stream to eventually rush down the waterfall and disappear. The passages that run under the ground are connected to the hole below the waterfall. The best time to view this spectacular sight is during the monsoon season when there is a high rainfall and the summer season. An interesting modern legend says that a foreigner named David was dipping in the Pardi Khola (river) when the floodgates of the dam were opened, sweeping him into an underground passage beneath the fall, never to be seen again. Gupteswar Cave: Gupteswar Cave is a sacred cave, lies 2 km from Pokhara airport. The entrance is right across from Daviโ€™s fall and the cave is almost 3 km long. It has some big hall-size rooms and some passages where you have to crawl on all fours. This cave holds special value for Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved here in the condition it was discovered.

Lumbini: Lumbini, lying in the foothills in the Himalayas in Nepal is a Buddhist pilgrimage site, approx. 300 kms south of Kathmandu. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, the site is a large garden with a grove of pipal trees. The most important temple at Lumbini is the Maya Devi Temple, which enshrines the traditional site of the Buddhaโ€™s birth. The modern temple consists mainly of simple white building that protects ancient ruins, with the exact spot of the Buddhaโ€™s birth. On the south side of the temple is a sacred pool, where it is said Maya Devi bathed before giving birth, and where the new born Buddha was washed by two dragons. The Maya Devi temple is surrounded by the brick foundations of ancient temples and monasteries. All around Lumbini, long lines of colorful prayer flags are strung between trees which are believed to carry prayers and mantras heavenward as they flap on the breeze. The other main sight of interest at Lumbini is Ashokaโ€™s Pillar, near the temple.  Overnight: Hotel in Lumbini

Kathmandu Durbar Square: is one of three royal palace squares in the Kathmandu Valley. This site was the royal residence until the 19th century where important ceremonies, such as the coronation of the Nepalese monarch use to take place.  Swoyambhunath Temple: This Buddhist Stupa, said to be 2000 years old is a perfect architecture of gilded spire and white washed dome located under thousands of fluttering prayer flags. From the spire, four faces of Buddha stare out across the valley in the cardinal directions. The entire structure is symbolic.  Patan Durbar Square: Located about 5 km south of Kathmandu in the Kathmandu Valley, on the southern side of the Bagmati River, Patan is one of the three royal cities in the valley. A paradise of fine arts, Patan is filled with wood and stone carvings, metal statues, ornate architecture, including dozens of Buddhist and Hindu temples, and over 1200 monuments.  We spend our last evening in Kathmandu in a farewell dinner together sharing photos recalling the excitements of trip and exchanging emails in one of the traditional Nepalese restaurant.
