Dive into the lively atmosphere of Basantapur Durbar Square via public transport, navigating the chaotic charm of Thamel on a rickshaw tour. Thamel, once Tabitha Bahal, has been a hub for tourists since the hippie movement, offering a maze of streets with diverse restaurants, craft shops, trekking gear, and vibrant prayer flags.

      Explore Ason and Indrachowk marketplaces, immersing yourself in traditional Nepalese life, witnessing the lively market scenes, and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere. Grab an authentic lunch from local street food markets. In the afternoon, drive to Boudhanath, a monumental stupa with UNESCO World Heritage status, emanating spiritual energy. Surround yourself with Tibetan life and culture, observing monks, prayer flags, and the mesmerizing dome-shaped stupa.

      Rising at the early hour of 4:30 am, we embark on an unforgettable sunrise experience at Sarangkot, offering breathtaking vistas of the Machhapuchhre and Annapurna rangesโ€”a perfect setting for an Instagram extravaganza!

      Compensating for the early start, indulge in a heartwarming breakfast before venturing to Kande. The hike unfolds through farm villages, ascending stone steps to Australian Camp, also known as Thulo Kharka. Its serene beauty attracted Austrians in the late 80s, who camped here for days, leading locals to unintentionally rename it the Australian camp due to pronunciation challenges.

      As we hike, active participation in cleaning the trail is encouraged, with eco-bags and tongs provided. The evening is spent sharing stories around the campfire before settling into your tent amidst the majestic Nepali mountainsโ€”truly an awe-inspiring experience!

This morning unfolds with a brief trek to Syangja, an off-the-beaten-path community, offering an authentic glimpse into traditional rural villages. Witness the daily rhythms of village life, from buffalo milking to agricultural activities.

      In Syangja, choose between two captivating options:

      • ยญ Immerse yourself in a fulfilling day with a Motherโ€™s Group, a dedicated womenโ€™s collective undertaking initiatives such as safe drinking water projects, organic farming, and gender equality awareness. Experience a warm Nepali welcome, actively participating in their projects, followed by a traditional Syangja lunch.
      • Opt for an adrenaline-packed mountain biking adventure along Pame Beach, tracing the origins of Fewa Lake. Conclude with a seafood lunch (not included) at Pame Beach, savoring the experience as the sun sets.

      After a refreshing breakfast, join your group for a scenic cruise on Phewa Lake, offering an epic view of Fishtail Mountain mirrored in the crystal-clear water. Disembark on the island housing the Barahi temple in the lakeโ€™s center, exploring before resuming the lake journey. A forested path leads to the striking white World Peace Pagoda, a massive Buddhist stupa atop a hill, providing panoramic views of the Annapurna range and Pokhara city.

      Connect with your vehicle for a Pokhara tour, including Devis Falls, the limestone Gupteswor Cave with a Shiva temple, and a Tibetan Refugee Camp in Hyangja.       Embarking on the next leg of our journey, we make our way to Chitwan National Parkโ€”a renowned wildlife sanctuary in Asia celebrated for its abundant natural wildlife. Encompassing diverse forests, grassy marshlands, and water bodies, the park provides a home for over 50 protected mammal species and 450 bird species.

      A delectable local lunch awaits us at the resort before we proceed to a Tharu village for a guided walking tour. The Tharu people, indigenous to the region, boast a culture distinct from the rest of Nepal. Optional visits to the Tharu Cultural Museum or witnessing the local liquor-making process are available (entrance fees not included). Throughout our walk, a local naturalist acquaints us with the social and cultural aspects of village life, offering insights into the unique lifestyles of the Tharu people.

      Apologies, but this morning begins with an early wake-up call for a day filled with activities. Post-breakfast, embark on a serene boating tour in a traditional Patela boat along the Rapti River. Witness diverse aquatic birds, Gharial crocodiles, and other wildlife on the riverbanks.

      Following a delicious lunch, prepare for a safari jeep ride through the wilderness, offering a firsthand experience of local wildlife. Encounter birds, one-horned Rhinoceros, various deer species, bison, and if fortunate, the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger.

      Today, we embark on a journey to Pharping Monastery, nestled in the Himalayas of Nepal amidst breathtaking scenery. This tranquil Buddhist monastery, strategically located near the Asura Cave where Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) achieved the highest realization through meditation, offers an ideal setting for inner reflection and experiencing monastic life.

      The Dakshinkali Monastery is a haven for almost 200 monks dedicated to the study and practice of Buddhism. Youโ€™ll have ample opportunities to witness the monksโ€™ early morning and evening chanting sessions. In a unique experience, we even have the privilege of staying in this remarkable monastery, sharing a meal with the monks as part of the immersive journey.

      Leaving the serenity of Dakshinkali Monastery and our newfound introspection, we journey today to the enchanting medieval town of Panauti, among the oldest towns in Nepal, adorned with temples dating back to the 15th Century or earlier.

Explore notable sites like the 13th-century Indreshwar Temple, one of Nepalโ€™s largest pagoda-style temples, and the Brahmayani Temple. 


      Panauti boasts over 40 temples and hosts 28 annual festivals, offering a chance to fully immerse in vibrant local cultures during festival seasons.

Perched above the Bhote Koshi River gorge, straddling the Nepal/Tibet border, this splendid resort offers an ideal retreat for relaxation, adventure activities, or simply unwinding by the plunge pool amidst stunning nature.

      Bhaktapurโ€™s Pottery - Pottery, Yoghurt and Traditional Dinner 


      Today, we return to Kathmandu via Bhaktapur, known as an open museum and one of the Kathmandu Valleyโ€™s medieval cities. Famous for its well-preserved historical palaces, Bhaktapur is a hub for pottery and hand-woven fabrics. 


      Explore Pottery Square, observing traditional pottery-making methods, and even craft your own piece to take home (materials at a small cost). Indulge in Bhaktapurโ€™s renowned Juju Dhau yogurt. 


      Tonight, back in Kathmandu, our journey concludes with a cultural show and a traditional Thakali dinner prepared by the Sasane sister guides. 


      This evening is a mix of joy and nostalgia, marking the end of an incredible two weeks of exploration and connection.
