After breakfast, we will drive to Kitulgala, which is an activity center known for white water rafting, mountain bike rides, and nature trails. You will have the option to choose between white water rafting or any other activity that suits your preferences.

In the afternoon, we will embark on a trek through the captivating Kitulgala Forest Reserve. This adventure will allow us to immerse ourselves in the diverse fauna and flora of the rainforest, while also treating us to the breathtaking beauty of hidden waterfalls and streams within the forest. As part of the trek, we can enjoy a refreshing dip in a picturesque flowing stream, surrounded by the lush jungle of Kitulgala.

After the trek, we will drive through even more lovely scenery as we continue towards Delhouse, where we will prepare for the climb of Adam’s Peak, also known as Sri Pada, the sacred mountain. We will spend the night in Nallatanni.

We will start on a 4,800-step climb at 1 am to ensure we reach the summit in time to witness the magnificent shadow pyramid cast by the sunrise. This remarkable ascent is considered one of the world’s renowned pilgrimage climbs, and all devoted Sri Lankans partake in it. By mid-morning, we will return to Delhouse, where we can replenish our energy through rest, indulge in a refreshing swim, or treat ourselves to a soothing massage to rejuvenate our weary limbs!

Afterward, we will embark on a breathtaking drive through magnificent mountain landscapes, heading towards Nuwara Eliya. This charming town, also known as the former British Tea Planter’s capital, is renowned for its exquisite production of the world’s finest Ceylon tea. Our overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya will offer us a taste of its unique ambiance, often referred to as "Little England."

The tea estate at Dambatenne holds a significant place in the tea world, as it was founded in 1890 by the renowned Thomas Lipton. As we reach the breathtaking lookout point known as Lipton’s Seat, we will be rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding plantations, just as Lipton did when he surveyed his vast empire.

After taking in the magnificent vistas, we will begin our stroll downhill, meandering through the verdant tea gardens. The peaceful atmosphere and the fragrance of fresh tea leaves will envelop us as we make our way towards the Dambatenne Tea Factory. Here, we will have the opportunity to witness the intricate tea-making process firsthand, gaining insights into the craftsmanship behind the world-renowned Ceylon tea. It’s a captivating experience that will deepen our appreciation for this beloved beverage.

Throughout the day, we will immerse ourselves in the beauty of the tea country, savoring the lush surroundings and delving into the rich history and artistry of tea production. Then we will make our way back to Nuwara Eliya, where you can enjoy a well-deserved moment of relaxation at the hotel.
