Before going there, you are able to visit the following beautiful places around Negombo. Whilst, if you have long flight journey and are too tired, you can go directly to your accommodation and sightseen will follow latter day. Dutch canal -: The purpose of the original waterways was to transport the export produce to seafaring ships leaving from the port of Negombo, then a busy seaport and there is evidence that countries such as China, Burma, Rome and Greece traded with the rulers of Lanka at that time. Agurukaramulla temple -: The Angurukaramulla Temple is a very cool place to visit if you’re in Negombo. It’s best known for its epic statue of the Buddha, and its dragon-entrance – inside you find detailed murals that date back centuries.
