      Day 1: Welcome To The Land Of Great Hospitality And Warming Smiles ; Sri Lanka!

      Our tour guide will warmly welcome you to the Paradise island with the truly Sri Lankan greeting Ayubowan!. 

      You will then be escorted to the hotel in Negombo where on your way you will catch your first glimpse on Sri Lanka. Amidst the streets a bit busy, with local shops beside the roads and a glimpse of the beautiful sea waters you will arrive at the hotel. A walk by the beach, a tan by the pool, or a comfortable sleep in your hotel room, you are at your peace to decide on how to welcome Sri Lanka. By the dusk we will escort you to your welcome dinner and a couple of drinks to keep you chilled!

      After a mouthwatering breakfast at the hotel we will be packing our bags to head on the Royal Route. 

      Heading off to Sigiriya you will witness the long Sri Lankan Buddhist history at the Dambulla Caves an imperial creation of Sri Lankan craftsmen. A temple full of ancient rock paintings the place will leave you with awe for the rest of your stay. In the evening you will hitch a small hike to the Pidurangala rock to visit the monastery. The best part comes last - The Green Escapes! As by your preference we can arrange an exciting wild life tour on a 4x4 safari Jeep to either of Minneriya, Kaudulla or Hurulu where you will embrace the rich bio diversity of Sri Lanka amidst the wild elephants and many other animal and bird species.       Hope you have your stamina saved, for we are climbing the rock fortress through the lionโ€™s paw! After a satisfying breakfast at the hotel we leave to climb the Sigiriya rock fortress before its gets too late. Build by an ancient Sri Lankan King as his fortress the Sigiriya Rock still stands strong as the Eighth World Wonder! You will witness the rock paintings, the huge lionโ€™s paw and the mirror wall adding to your Sri Lankan Royal experience. Ready for some true Sri Lankan Cuisine? You will then be escorted to the Hiriwadunna Village which will surely be your first village experience. The small trek will expose you the authentic Sri Lankan village life with a ride on a Bollock cart, a tuk tuk ride and a lunch rich with the most popular Sri Lankan spice at a village home. You will also be given a life time opportunity to experience some cooking skill on how to cook on of our most unique Sri Lankan dish. The day will surely be a once in a lifetime experience.       Today we climb down to explore the Sri Lankan Pride. After breakfast in the hotel we will be driving off to Kandy; the city rich with religious and cultural heritage. We will reach a halt at the Nalanda Gedige yet another symbol of rich Sri Lankan religious faith. Thereafter we will stop at the Matale Spice garden exposing you to the roots of Sri Lankan economy and its long standing popularity for quality. You will get to know about the indigenous Sri Lankan spices not only used for food but also for indigenous Sri Lankan Ayurvedic medicine for many generations up to now and many generations to come! You will then be taken to explore the Gem Museum and Workshop yet another unique industry Sri Lanka has been popular for ages! You will witness the Multi-cultural Sri Lanka on the visit to the Hindu temple on the way; we truly are a country rich in every culture! Witnessing the most important place in the whole country we will take you to witness the true Buddhist faith at the Sacred Temple of Tooth Relic. To mark the end of day you will be taken on city tour amidst the streets of Kandy where you will witness the present standings of the ancient kingdom where you will also get an opportunity to watch a traditional Sri Lankan kandyan dance and the authentic sounds of Sri Lankan drums. Thereon we call it a day and escort you back to the hotel for your comfortable stay.

      After a luscious breakfast in the kandy hotel the group will be hosted to a flower paradise, The Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Yes! Your favorite kind is there be it roses, lilies or any other water plant. You will also witness the endemic Sri Lankan trees, flowers and many more. Climbing the mountains we will be taking you to one of the most exquisite place; a tea factory. A tour to Sri Lanka is incomplete without a taste of its most preferred export of all times; The Sri Lankan Tea. In the tea factory you will be shown how the tea leaves plucked by very own locals are processed to serve a pretty cup of tea. You are now heading onto the coolest and the mistiest part of Sri Lanka; renowned as Little England; Nuwara Eliya. On your way we will view the view the cool waters of the Ramboda falls. Make sure you get your camera ready to take the most popular snap amidst the tea plantations in Sri Lanka. Then you will be taken to your hotel for a relaxed night in the cool climate.

      The next morning we will hop on the bus with a short stop by the Gregoryโ€™s lake and the Victoria Park Garden en route to Ella. Our guide will escort you to the train station where you will step on to witness the world famous blue train travel ride to Ella amidst the misty hills and the serene tree plantation. Feel the cool breeze and click a snap at the most serene places while on the blue train, it will be worth the shot! In the evening you will have one of the best hikes in the country; The mini Adamโ€™s Peak. Treat yourself with the breath taking view from the up and above! After the hike you will be taken to the hotel in Ella for a comfortable rest amidst the cool breeze.

      Saying goodbye to the cool climate after breakfast today we travel south to Tissamaharama. On the way we will catch a glimpse of yet another most famous and fascination waterfall; The Ravana fall and we will also pay a visit to the Buduruwagala Rock Temple another signature destination which exhibits Buddhist culture. Then to the part everyone wait for; THE YALA SAFARI! Renowned as one of the most widespread national parks in Sri Lanka, the ride in the 4x4 Safari jeep will expose you to a varied species of wild animals which includes leopards! To add to the best day you will have a BBQ dinner under the starry night at your hotel in Tissamaharama, marking the end of another amazing day.

      After witnessing one of the best places in Sri Lanka, after breakfast we travel further down to a much awaited moment and a must experience while in Sri Lanka โ€“ The Beach, Beach, Beachโ€ฆ. After being escorted to Tissamaharama, you will hop on the very own Sri Lankan Tuk Tuk for a ride around the village. In the ride through the paddy fields and the cultivations you will feel the authentic Sri Lankan life and also we will be taking you to see five great tanks built by ancient kings of Sri Lanka. Thereon we will travel to Mirissa and you will be at the beach resort at your own leisure. The choice is yours; a walk by the beach, sun tan or a sea bath altogether, The South Coast is just the answer! You will be stationed in Mirissa overnight. You will probably need a sound sleep cuz we have an early ride tomorrow!!

      Today is the day to get on the sea and watch: The largest animals in the world. Itโ€™s the Whale Watching time. Our guide will escort you to one of the most comfortable boats and you will be out on the sea at 6.30am catching the sight of blue whales having the time off their lives far away in the sea! Surely you will be amazed! After the whale watching you will be bought back to leisure at your hotel for you to enjoy the rest of the day with the sound of the South Coast blue waves throughout the night.

      Today we will be hitting upon every inch and corner down South Sri Lanka. After the breakfast at Misriss we will be travelling further down the cost side to Bentota for a series of breath taking sea based views. Make sure your camera is super ready for we are collecting memories for Life! The area is abundant with sea turtles and we will be taking you to Sea Turtle Hatchery & Rescue Center to witness the entire process. Up for a snap with the little creature? Then we travel to one of the most proud standings of Down South, a symbol of its colonial history; The Galle Fort! Running from the first imperial times of The Portuguese and then The Dutch, you will witness buildings under the VOC Signature and also how it is modernized today in a true Sri Lankan spirit. Southern Escapes also includes a boat ride in the Madhu River mangroves, sure to provide you more and more Instagram- Worthy Moments! We will then return to Mirissa for the overnight stay before we bid goodbye to the sandy and salty beach time!

      Coming towards the end of the tour on this after breakfast we pack our bags to go West! On our way we will halt to visit the Tsunami Memorial which was established after the tragic happenings of the Tsunami in 2004. Once we arrive in Colombo you will witness the true busy lives of Sri Lankans in the Commercial Capital; quite different from all the places travelled so far. Busy Streets, a bit of a traffic jam, people running for work, buildings sky high; you will witness the life in Colombo! You will be taken to the Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple a popular religious destination in Colombo and then to the Colombo Museum where you will gain knowledge A to Z about Sri Lanka, then and now. By the evening you will be taken on Big Fat City Tour in Colombo where you will also get some time to do some shopping in the most popular department stores because; what is a trip without some souvenirs to take back with you! Adding to the luxuries of the trip you will stay overnight at Colombo amidst the vivid luxury.
