  • Day 1 Arrival At Airport Colombo, Pick Up And Transfer To Negombo

      Arrival At Airport Colombo, Pick Up And Transfer To Negombo

      After your arrival at Colomboยดs Airport where your driver awaits you, you will drive together to Negombo and check in your Hotel for the first night in Sri Lanka, where one can recover from the long flight during a cozy lunch or dinner. In the Afternoon we discover Negombo and its surroundings.

  • Day 2 Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Pindurangala Rock Trekking

      Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Pindurangala Rock Trekking

      The day begins with an extensive breakfast, which supplies us enough energy for todayยดs adventures. At the elephant orphanage we will be able watch the young and old members of large herds of up to 50-100 elephants being fed and bathed. Even we can get involved and help bathing the friendly giants. After a refresher in our Hotel we visit we drive towards Habarana where we trek through Hiriwadunna village before we embark on the short but rewarding climb to Pindurangala Rock. We will be rewarded here a fantastic view of the famous Sigiriya Lion Rock.

  • Day 3 Polonnaruwa / Gal Vihara, Ancient City

      Polonnaruwa / Gal Vihara, Ancient City

      On the third day of our trip we visit Polonnaruwa, the capital of the second oldest kingdom from the 11th century. There we can admire the remains of this huge temple complex, three huge Buddha statues carved in stone, many temples, as well as gardens, parks and palaces with various well-preserved buildings. Here we can rent bicycles on site and explore the temple complex by bicycle.

  • Day 4 Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress, Transfer To Kandy

      Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress, Transfer To Kandy

      A visit to the temple complex of Sigiriya, built in the 5th century, is planned. One of the numerous World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka. The rock fortress of King Kassapa rises 200 meters from the floor of the jungle, surrounded by elaborately designed gardens and the former moats and ramparts. This is certainly a unique experience. During our visit we will see water gardens, historical frescoes, the stone mirror wall and the lion platform. The ascent rewards us with a breathtaking view.

  • Day 5 Kandy, Royal Botanical Gardens, Temple Of The Tooth, Transfer To Ella

      Kandy, Royal Botanical Gardens, Temple Of The Tooth, Transfer To Ella

      In the morning we visit the classics of Kandy, the world-famous Royal Botanical Garden โ€™Peradeniyaโ€™, a botanical garden idyllically situated on a peninsula in the Mahaweli River. It is considered one of the most beautiful in Asia and attracts numerous visitors every year. Then we will visit the sacred tooth temple, in which the molar teeth of the Buddha are said to have been kept since the beginning of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. In the evening cultural specialties such as traditional dances and be spoiled with culinary and exotic dishes. Later on Transfer to Ella.

  • Day 6 Ella Rock Trekking

      Ella Rock Trekking

      After breakfast we start our hike through Ella. We visit the villages in the near Surroundings and walk through some rice fields. Later we will continue hiking to Ella Rock where we will enjoy a fantastic panorama. We cross different forests and get to the Ella Village. On the way back we travel a few stations by train and see some spectacular ones Outlook. Arrived at our station we meet our driver who takes us back to our Hotel in Ella.

  • Day 7 Thangamalay Forest Reserve

      Thangamalay Forest Reserve

      In the morning we start our trek from Haputale to the Thangamalay Forest Reserve. The path leads us through eucalyptus, fir- and rain forests and over the tea plantations of this beautiful mountain landscape. Here we see Sri Lanka from its most beautiful side. We hike about 6 hours to our Lodge in the mountains far from any surrounding villages. Due to the extremely low light pollution In Sri Lanka we can observe countless stars and shooting stars here at night. Certainly another Highlight of our tours.

  • Day 8 Horton Plains National Park

      Horton Plains National Park

      With a packed picnic set, we trek to the Horton Plains, Sri Lankaโ€™s highest plateau at over 2200m the sea level. This is one of the most beautiful hikes covering different scenery and regions pristine mountains and grasslands and spectacular views. From the 1200m Perched at Worldโ€™s End, excellent views can be enjoyed, and many rare ones watch mountain birds. Then it goes to the Baker waterfall, about 6 hours hike. After Lunch we hike back to the bungalows in the tea plantation.

  • Day 9 Bambarakanda Waterfall Trekking

      Bambarakanda Waterfall Trekking

      In the morning hours we trek to Bambarakanda Waterfall, the highest in Sri Lanka. The hike leads over mountains passes with endless panoramas and other waterfalls, as well as a smaller waterfall with natural pool where we pause to swim. Later we meet our driver who takes us comfortably to the hotel in Haputale, where our luggage awaits us.  

      Optional: Cooking class and overnight stay at the locals Homestay. Here we have the opportunity to get to know Sri Lanka a little better. The Homestay of our guide, serves as our accommodation, a typical Sri Lankan house (Villa) with plenty of space and a lovely garden. Here we learn how local Specialties, such as Curries and other dishes are cooked and prepared. We get information firsthand about Sri Lanka. Homestay Monisha Villa.

  • Day 10 Train Ride Through Sri Lankaโ€™S Hill Country

      Train Ride Through Sri Lankaโ€™S Hill Country

      This time the train leaves early in the morning in the direction of Hatton, from where todayโ€™s hike through diverse and species-rich forests starts. This route is one of the hidden routes that usually remain closed to ordinary tourists. We cross tea plantations and beautiful hilly landscapes and are rewarded with fantastic views of Sri Lanka. We then continue to Maskeliya at the foot of Adams Peak where we can prepare for tomorrowโ€™s climb. (ascend at any time)

  • Day 11 Sunrise From Adamโ€™S Peak, Transfer To Udawalawe

      Sunrise From Adamโ€™S Peak, Transfer To Udawalawe

      We climb Adams Peak at our own pace. The cone-shaped mountain is one of the most revered in the world and a place of pilgrimage for Christians, Muslims and Hindus alike. Who else before Dawn reached the summit, in good weather conditions can witness a unique sunrise. After descending and having a shower at our Hotel, we continue to Udawalawa to the National Park. Approx. 3.5h drive. The Resort is located about 30 min drive from the park entrance in a completely untouched village โ€“ which is an attraction by itself โ€“ surrounded by many flying Peacocks and Hornbills. After checking into the hotel, we want to go on a little hike in the village. Binoculars and cameras are particularly useful here. Then we let the day end comfortably at the swimming pool.

  • Day 12 Udawalawe National Park, Jeep Safari

      Udawalawe National Park, Jeep Safari

      Today we dedicate our day to the National Park of Udawalawe. Here in this very flat terrain we can spot huge herds of Elephants. By Jeep, we drive into the National Park to see the animals in their natural habitat. A local park ranger whom guides us and explains the animals behaviors and daily lives to us. Sambar, chital, wild boars and crocodiles, as well as lots of birds, can be spotted here. (about 4h Jeep Safari)

  • Day 13 Transfer To The South Coast, Mirissa

      Transfer To The South Coast, Mirissa

      Beach Stay.  Now we have a few days to relax and enjoy all the amenities that the hotel has to offer. These are the days of relaxation, on which strength is drawn again. We have plenty of time to enjoy the lovely swimming pool and all other amnesties. Small excursions into the surrounding area can also be planned and implemented spontaneously, such as Diving, Surfing, Whale Watching and Swimming with Turtles, and other activities. Our Hotel is located about 5min by foot to the Beach.
