Day 2 Dambulla / Sigiriya

After a tasty breakfast, we’re heading to Sigiriya, but first, we’ll explore the amazing Dambulla Cave Temple. It’s a special place with old rock cave temples, beautiful paintings, and lots of Buddha statues.

Then, we’ll go to Sigiriya. But before climbing Sigiriya Rock, we’ll visit Pidurangala Monastery, which is not as famous but just as cool. You’ll see great views of the area, including Sigiriya Rock from a distance.

After an awesome day, we’ll go to our hotel in Sigiriya, where we can relax and get ready for more adventures on our Sri Lanka tour.

We will begin early to fully experience the wonders of Sigiriya Rock Fortress. After breakfast, we will make our way to the renowned Sigiriya Rock, an ancient rock citadel perched high atop a towering rock formation. After exploring Sigiriya, we will head to Minneriya National Park for an exciting wildlife safari. The Park is famous for its large population of wild elephants, and we’ll have the opportunity to spot them along with other wildlife species. It will be a day filled with history, natural beauty, and thrilling wildlife encounters. After an exhilarating safari, we will return to our accommodation, where you can relax and reflect on the incredible experiences of the day.

Day 4 Kandy / Spice Garden

oday we will make our way to the enchanting city of Kandy. Along the journey, we will stop at a Spice Garden to immerse ourselves in the aromatic world of Sri Lankan spices. Discover the rich flavors and fragrances of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves as knowledgeable guides introduce us to their cultivation and traditional uses. After our visit to the Spice Garden, we will participate in a delightful cooking class where we will unlock the secrets to preparing a perfect Sri Lankan curry. In the morning, we will begin our day by visiting the iconic Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy. This revered Buddhist temple is home to a sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha and holds great religious significance. Explore the temple’s intricate architecture, immerse yourself in the spiritual atmosphere, and witness the rituals and offerings that take place.

Then we will continue our journey towards the picturesque hill town of Nuwara Eliya. Along the way, we will make a stop at a functioning tea factory, where we will delve into the fascinating process of tea production. We may even have the opportunity to sample different varieties of tea, experiencing their distinct flavors and aromas.

As we resume our drive to Nuwara Eliya, known as "Little England" due to its charming colonial architecture and cool climate, you will be enchanted by the picturesque landscapes of rolling tea plantations, mist-covered mountains, and cascading waterfalls. Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, take some time to relax and soak up the pleasant atmosphere of this quaint town. You can explore the beautifully manicured Victoria Park, stroll around the city’s colonial-era buildings, or simply enjoy a cup of fine Ceylon tea in one of the cozy tea houses.

Day 6 Train Journey To Ella

Today, we will embark on a scenic train journey from Nuwara Eliya to the charming hill town of Ella. Sit back, relax, and take in the breathtaking views as the train chugs through the misty mountains, lush tea plantations, and picturesque valleys. This train ride is considered one of the most beautiful in the world and offers an opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural splendor of Sri Lanka.

Upon reaching Ella, we will start our city tour to explore the highlights of this idyllic town. Ella is renowned for its stunning landscapes, rolling green hills, and cascading waterfalls. We’ll visit some of the must-see attractions, such as the famous Nine Arch Bridge, an architectural marvel nestled amidst the tea plantations. Capture Instagram-worthy photos as you witness the train passing over this impressive bridge.

Next, we’ll make our way to Little Adam’s Peak, a relatively easy hike that rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and Ella Gap. The scenic beauty and tranquility of the area will leave you in awe. During the city tour, we’ll also have the chance to wander through the vibrant streets of Ella, exploring local shops, cafes, and markets. Today, we will embark on an exciting safari adventure in Udawalawe National Park. After breakfast and a scenic drive, we will arrive at the park, known for its remarkable wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. Once inside the park, we will board our safari jeep and venture deep into the wilderness. Udawalawe National Park is renowned for its thriving population of elephants, and we will have the opportunity to observe these majestic creatures up close in their natural habitat. Keep your cameras ready as we may also encounter other fascinating wildlife species, such as leopards, deer, crocodiles, and an array of birdlife.

After an exhilarating safari, we will head to the Udawalawe camp, our accommodation nestled amidst nature. The camp offers a unique and immersive experience, allowing you to connect with the surrounding environment. Unwind and relax in the serenity of the camp, enjoying the sounds of nature and the starry night sky.

Walk along the fortified walls, admire the colonial-era buildings, and immerse yourself in the unique blend of European and South Asian influences. The fort area is dotted with boutique shops, art galleries, and quaint cafes, offering a delightful shopping and dining experience.

After soaking up the cultural and historical ambiance of Galle Fort, we will continue our journey to the coastal town of Hikkaduwa. Known for its golden beaches and vibrant coral reefs, Hikkaduwa offers a paradise for beach lovers and water sports enthusiasts.

Upon reaching Hikkaduwa, you can relax on the beach, soak up the sun, and take a refreshing dip in the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. If you’re interested, you can also explore the colorful underwater world by snorkeling or diving, encountering a diverse range of marine life, including tropical fish and beautiful corals.

Upon arrival in Colombo, we will embark on a city tour to discover the highlights of this bustling metropolis.
