      Welcome by the tour guide. Transfer from the airport to your hotel in Negombo. (Check-in at the hotel usually from 14:00). The first day is free for a relaxed arrival or for your first own explorations in Negombo. Dinner at the hotel.

      The tour starts in the morning. Visit the 5th century rock fortress of Sigiriya, built during King Kassapaโ€™s reign (477-495 AD). The hard-to-reach monolith rises 180m above the tropical landscape. Be fascinated by the remains of artificial gardens, as well as the famous mural "Cloud Girl". In the upper part the rock has the shape of a resting lion, of which only the mighty paws are left. At the foot of the rock fortress there were trenches, which could be flooded in case of an attack. Dinner at the hotel.

      Continue from Sigiriya to Dambulla.
      The cave temple of Dambulla was built by King Walagambahu in the 1st century BC and includes five caves under a far overhanging rock. In 1938, the structure was provided with colonnades and gables. Inside, the caves are filled with numerous Buddha statues and decorated with murals of religious content.
      Continue to Matale, where you will visit a spice garden. Learn about the spices for which Sri Lanka is so famous.
      Continue from Matale to Kandy.
      Kandy was the last royal city of the Sri Lankan kings. The name โ€™Kandyโ€™ conjures up visions of splendor and glory. Many of the legends and traditions are still lovingly preserved. At Lake Kandy, built by the last king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798, lies the famous Temple of the Tooth. In Kandy you will also visit the bazaar, a handicraft center, a gemstone museum, also the famous Kandy dances should not be missed. Dinner at the hotel.

Continuation to Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is a popular vacation resort in Sri Lanka because of its healthy, cool mountain climate and beautiful landscape. Nuwara Eliya is located in the heart of the tea growing area. It is also home to Sri Lankaโ€™s highest mountain, Pidurutalagala at 2524 meters. Dinner at the hotel.

      Today you will drive to Tissamaharama. On the way, visit the Rawana waterfall in Ella. According to legend, this is where King Ravana lived. Afterwards you will visit the Dowa Temple. The temple has a history of about 2000 years and was known as Kumbaltissa Ariyagala Vehera in the time of King Walagamba.

      Drive to Galle. Galle was once the main port of Ceylon and is a city rich in history. It was the center of the Dutch government in the 17th century. The majestic fort is still a testament to this colonial period, as well as a World Heritage Site. The Dutch Museum & the Dutch Church are two famous attractions in the fort. The town is also known for its fine handmade bobbin lace and jet black wood carvings.
