  • Day 1 Day 1: Nairobi To Hells Gate National Park To Lake Naivasha

      Day 1: Nairobi To Hells Gate National Park To Lake Naivasha

       Tour starts by pick up at 7am at your Nairobi Hotel. The journey takes a drive down the Great Rift Valley stopping at the viewpoint for photography. You then continue on to get to Hellโ€™s Gate National Park to arrive at 9:30am. Once at the Park, you have the option of a game drive in a Safari vehicle or take bikes into the Park. Cycling in the Park is a great adventure as you get to ride the bikes for 7 Kilometers before resting at a rangerโ€™s post. After a brief stop at the rangers post you leave the bike and start a walking safari. Enjoy the spectacular views of the gorge. Continue on foot into the parkโ€™s distinctive gorges, where narrow passageways and caves are sunk into sedimentary rock. After a 1-hour walk, stop by a local Maasai community to learn about traditional life and customs in the Great Rift Valley, then head to Naivasha Sopa Resort for lunch .  
      After lunch explore Lake Naivasha wildlife on a 1-hour boat tour . Spot the hippos that linger just at the surface of the water, and see some of the diverse birdlife; African fish eagles, lesser flamingos, African spoonbill, and little grebe are all common here. At 4pm, finish the day with return transfer to your hotel .

      After an early breakfast your driver will take you to the open grassland of the Masai Mara (5 hours). Rich in biodiversity and home to a large variety of bird species and wildlife, the Masai Mara offers great game viewing and bird-watching opportunities. Youโ€™ll arrive in time for lunch at camp . After lunch youโ€™ll head out for a game drive in the reserve.  Dinner and accommodation Masai Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.

      Spend the full day exploring Mara in search of the Big Five. You will have picnic lunches in the Reserve as you scale the Mara beauty sited at the banks of Mara river. Optional: In the evening, Visit the Maasai village for a Maasai cultural tour at USD 20. Learn about the Masai community and interact with the local Maasai people. A overnight at the Masai village can be organized upon request. A balloon safari at USD450 per person can be organized early morning on this day then proceed with the normal program.       Start with early morning game drive to see the early hunters. Breakfast and then depart for Serengeti through the Isebania border. Arrive at the border at lunchtime, and process visas. Meet our Tanzanian driver with a 4WD Land cruiser.meal BLD Take an evening game drive en route to the Lodge.       Elevation: 5,380 ft to 9,350 ft The drive from your Moshi Hotel to the Machame Gate . The journey passes through the village of Machame which is located on the lower slopes of the mountain. As we leave the park gate, we walk through the dense rain forest on a winding trail up a ridge until we reach the Machame Camp.

      Day 9: Machame - Shira

      Elevation: 9,350 ft to 12,500 ft We leave the glades of the rain forest and continue on an ascending path up to a steep, rocky ridge. On the Shira Plateau, we pass through heather and open moorlands, then cross a large river gorge to Shira 2 Camp.  Dinner and accommodation Shira Hut or similar.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Shira Camp - Barranco Camp

      Elevation: 12,500 ft to 15,190 ft We continue to the east up a ridge and then head southeast towards the Lava Tower โ€“ a 300 ft tall volcanic rock formation. We descend down to Barranco Camp through the strange but beautiful Senecio Forest to an altitude of 13,000 ft. Although you begin and end the day at the same elevation, the time spent at higher altitude is very beneficial for acclimatization.  Dinner and accommodation Barranco Hut or similar

  • Day 11 Day 11: Barranco Camp To Barafu Camp

      We begin the day by descending into a ravine to the base of the Great Barranco Wall. Then we climb the non-technical but steep, nearly 900 ft cliff. From the top of the Barranco Wall we cross a series of hills and valleys until we descend sharply into Karanga Valley. One more steep climb up leads us to Karanga Camp. This is a shorter day meant for acclimatization.  Dinner and accommodation Barafu Hut or similar

      The last day will be a really early beginning for the summit, probably 00:00 am, passing through the Ratzel and Rebmann glaciers to the Highest point of Africa Uhuru Peak 5,896m above the sea level. After relaxing, watching the sun rise and taking memorable pictures, start descending to the Mweka Hut and spend overnight there.  Dinner and accommodation included: Mweka Hut or similar

      Early morning game drive to get a glimpse of Mt kilimanjaro and also a chance to view the park at the the view point. Breakfast at the lodge; optional visit to a Masai Village and depart for Tsavo West National Park.
