      Upon arrival at Nirobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will find our representative waiting for you with a big sign reading your names assist you wtih your luggage to the waiting van and be transfer to our Nairobi hote for Accommodation on Bed & Breakfast. 

  • Day 2 Day 2: Nairobi Excursion

      Day 2: Nairobi Excursion

      Start the day by getting up close and personal with Rothschild giraffes, Africaโ€™s tallest mammal with a visit to Giraffe Center. Here you will ascend up to a observation platform where you can meet giraffes at their eye level. 

      The next stop is Elephant Orphanage:  Visit the world famous David Sheldrick elephant Orphanage to meet a herd of baby elephants and learn about the work done to rescue them from poachers. Tour the orphanage, hear interesting talk about their work and get to watch baby elephants at play. 


      Then drive to Kazuri Beads factory, this is a pottery company that makes one of the world most beautiful beads.  You will then be taken out for lunch at nearby restaurant (own expense)


      After lunch you will be taken to Bomas of Kenya.   Enjoy this tribal cultural shows that happens every day from 2:30pm to 4pm and display tribal talent in music, dance, theatre/drama, fashion show, poetry/recitals and comedies. If you are interested in Kenyan culture or just want an afternoon of African entertainment, this is a day trip not to be missed!   You will then be sropped back to your hotel.

      Our driver guide will come to pick you from your Nairobi Hotel or residency early in the morning and start your safari to Maasai Mara at 8:30 a.m. Stop over at the Rift Valley viewpoint at 10 a.m. to see the escarpments and the flat lands below. The Rift Valley is a geographical formation that formed millions of years ago and runs from the top to bottom of Africa. Eat lunch in Narok town at 12 p.m. Arrive in Maasai Mara at 3 p.m. Take an evening game safari drive at 4 p.m for 2 hours. Dinner and accommodation Mara Ndovu Lodge or Similar

      After breakfast spend the full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five. You will have picnic lunches in the Reserve as you scale the Mara beauty sitted at the banks of Mara river. Optional: In the evening, Visit the local Masai village for a Masai cultural tour at USD20. Learn about the Masai community and interact with the local Masai people. A balloon safari at a discounted USD450 per person can be organised early morning on this day then proceed with the normal program. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna โ€“ lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures

      A short morning game viewing drive may be scheduled for the early morning. Later, you will depart the for the Lake Nakuru National Park, across the equator, lies the rift valleys most famous lake Nakuru National Park. Known all over the world for its flamingos, itโ€™s alkaline and is recognized as being one of the natural wonders of the world. Lake Nakuru is now a rhino sanctuary, harbouring a population of over 40 black and over 60 white rhinos, but the flamingos, of course, have always been the main attraction. At times there may be almost 2 million flamingos in the residence, forming a stunningly beautiful deep pink band around the edge of the lake shore.       Day 6: Lake Nakuru To Lake Naivasha National Park

      There will be a bird watching and game viewing drives at Lake Nakuru. Early afternoon shall be spent enjoying a boat ride at Lake Naivasha.  Lake Naivasha, it is the highest and the most beautiful of the Rift Valley lakes. At 1910m (6200f), the water is fresh and the lake is fringed with dense clumps of papyrus (ancient Egyptian once used this to make paper). Kingfishers use the papyrus as a perch, herons hide in it while searching for food. Naivasha is yet another area popular for bird watching (over 400species have been recorded). It is also a favourite weekend retreat for Nairobi residents, who come here to sail, water ski and fish. There are no crocodiles in the lake as the water is too cold for them, due to altitude but there are a number of hippos.       A long and easy drive to the Amboseli awaits you today. There will be a short game viewing drive with possible views of the Mount Kilimanjaro peaks if the weather permits.  Rising early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit with packed lunch provided, an optional visit to a Masai village can be planned after breakfast. A visit reveals the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Despite its changing habitat, Amboseli National Park is possibly the best wildlife area In the whole of Africa to experience elephants at close range.       Have breakfast at the camp, check out and depart for Tsavo west national park, which lays roughly half way between Nairobi and the Coast. Mzima Springs, the chief marvel here is a favorite haunt of hippos and crocodiles. Arrival at Kilaguni Serena Safari lodge in time for lunch. Enjoy an early evening game drive to see large herds of elephants, buffalo, common waterbuck, eland, rhino and wide variety of antelope. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Safari lodge.
