Day 1: East Coast

Stop At: Bimmah Sinkhole, Hawiyat Najm Park, Muscat Oman
Leave Muscat in the morning to explore the beauties of the Eastern coast. Your first destination is reached after one hour and a half: the famous Bimmah Sinkhole, a must-see of Oman. This large and deep natural cave contains a pool of blue water. It's possible to swim there, however, your next destination offers a more proper setting: the Fins Beach. Relax at this white sand beach.

Stop At: Wadi Shab, 50km West of Sur, Sur 411 Oman
Hit the road briefly to have lunch in one of the picturesque villages of Wadi Shab. The best way to explore this valley is on foot. An easy 45 minutes' hike unveils caves, natural pools and waterfalls.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve, Ras Al Jinz, Sur 411 Oman
Reach Ras al Jinz beach and the Turtle Reserve by the end of the afternoon. At night, you can observe the giant green turtles laying eggs on the beach with a guided tour.

Day 2: Wahiba Sands

Stop At: Wadi Bani Khalid, Wadi Bani Khalid, Ash-Sharqiyah Governorate
In the morning, make a quick detour to appreciate the quietude of Sur and visit its famous Dhow Yards. The magnificent wooden boats are still built by hand. Then, after a two hours drive, explore one of the most famous wadis of Oman: Wadi Bani Khalid. This is the ideal oasis, with its natural pools surrounded by rocks and palm trees.

Stop At: Wahiba Sands, Wahiba Sands, Ash-Sharqiyah Governorate
Hit the road again toward the heart of the desert: Wahiba Sands. On the way, you can experience some light dune bashing with your guide. For the night, you stay at a traditional Bedouin camp, where you can request a camel ride* or enjoy more dunes riding with a quad**. Watch the sunset over the dunes, and share a delicious barbecue of camel meat with your host before relaxing under the stars.

Day 3: Ancient Oman

Stop At: Birkat Al Mouz Ruins, Nizwa Oman
After a silent night in the desert, share a delicious breakfast with fresh local products. Say goodbye to the sand and head toward the mountains. After two hours, you reach the picturesque mountain village of Birkat al Mawz. Walk for an hour in the village and through its banana plantations, following the traditional irrigation system called Aflaj (Unesco listed). A unique scenery for a picnic break.

Stop At: Jibreen Castle, Jabrin 612 Oman
After lunch, go back on the road for an hour to Jabreen, where you can visit its 17th-century castle. A a short 30 minutes drive later, you reach Nizwa and visit its emblematic fort, before resting at the hotel.

Day 4: Hajar Mountains

Stop At: Nizwa, Nizwa, Ad-Dakhiliyah Governorate
If you have the chance to visit Nizwa on a Friday, do not miss its famous Cattle Market. You can see sellers and buyers trading goats and other animals early morning. Whatever the day, have a stroll into the alleys of the colourful Nizwa Souk to buy unique souvenirs.

Stop At: Al Hamra, Al Hamra, Ad-Dakhiliyah Governorate
Leave the antic city to go deep into the Hajar Mountains and discover, after 20 minutes' road, the old town of Al Hamra. Walk between the 400 years old mudbrick houses for almost an hour, before having a lunch break.

Visit the neighbouring village of Misfat al Abriyeen, which offers many walk opportunities.

Stop At: Wadi Nakhr Canyon, Al Hamra Oman
It's time for some off-road driving inside Wadi an Nakhr, to discover remote villages and many natural wonders for an hour

Stop At: Jebel Shams, Al Hamra Oman
It's on top of the Jebel Shams that your day ends, reach the breathtaking viewpoint before resting at the resort nearby

Day 5: Mountain Pass to Muscat

Stop At: Wadi Bani Awf, Wadi Bani Awf, Ad-Dakhiliyah Governorate
Wake up in the serenity of the Hajar Mountains. After driving for a bit less than two hours, you reach Wadi Bani Awf, one of the most famous wadis of Oman, with many small villages on the way. Stop at Bilad Sayt, one of the most picturesque, for lunch and continue your exploration.

Stop At: Al Thowarah Hot Springs, Nakhal Fort, Nakhl Oman
In the afternoon, approach the northern coast and stop at Nakhal to relax for half an hour in its natural hot spring

Pass By: Barka, Barka, Al Batinah Governorate
By the end of the day, your driver-guide leaves you at the coastal city of Al Sawadi where you stay in a comfortable resort by the beach.

Day 6: Al Sawadi

Pass By: Barka, Barka, Al Batinah Governorate
Enjoy a morning on your own at Al Sawadi, relaxing at the beach or at the pool of the resort. You can also choose to have a walk in this quiet town and by the seaside. In the afternoon, a driver comes to pick you up at the hotel and drive you back to Muscat, which takes about 1 hour.
