DAY 1 Arrival Muscat half day city tour
You will arrive at the Muscat International Airport. Upon your arrival you proceed straight to the Immigration. Immigration & customs are quick & simple. Upon arrival at the General arrival lounge you will be met by our friendly & efficient chauffer who will assist you to the comforts of our vehicle to drive you the hotel. Morning, you will be met at the hotel for a half day City Tour. The tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque one of the largest mosques in the Middle East. Visit Bait Al Zubair Museum. You will have photo stops at the residence of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts. Evening you will be strolling through Muttrah Souk, where you will be bargaining for handicrafts and silver items.

DAY 2 : Hamra - Misfah - Jebel shams – Grand Canyon
Itinerary : Pick up time 8.30 a.m. After check out of your hotel Your first stop will be, Misfat Al Abriyeen, set in a stunning landscape above terraced plantations of date palms. This is a rare sight in Oman as most palms are grown on the plains. The ancient houses and ruined watchtower perched on the mountain complete the scene. You will then proceed to Al Hamra, The oldest villages in Oman with clay houses dating back up to 400 years. After enjoying lunch your experience continues through the untamed and rugged countryside. Then you will proceed to the top of Jebel Shams, “Sun Mountain”, Oman’s highest peak at 3009 meters. The cooler temperatures will surprise as you reach the top to get a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”. Sleeping in high altitude will get you closer to the stars.

DAY 3 : Nizwa fort & Souq – Wahiba Sands
Itinerary : Pick up 8.30 a.m. You will depart your hotel and proceed towards the spectacular Nizwa Fort with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman. You will also visit the Nizwa traditional Souq. The Souq is a lively place and an ideal location to purchase handicrafts and souvenirs. Post that we will start your journey to Wahiba Sands. In the heart of the golden sands of Sharqiyah Desert nestled among stunning and ever changing patterns of sand dunes, is the Arabian Oryx Camp.. After settling into the camp you will be offered the amazing experience of dune bashing, here your driver will show you his sand dune-driving skills with an adrenaline-fueled 4WD safari across 150-metre dunes with a spectacular view of the sunset. Followed by delicious Arabic Cuisine along with live entertainment whilst you sit under a starry sky around a Camp Fire this truly is a once in a lifetime experience.

DAY 4 : Desert - Wadi Bani Khalid - Ibra – Muscat
Itinerary : After breakfast at the desert camp, you will depart on an exciting 4wd journey through the mountains. Your first stop will be Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that hold water all year round. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oasis where it sustains the typical date palms. The pretty villages of Wadi Bani Khalid cling precariously to the rugged mountainside. You can have lunch at Wadi Bani Khalid. You will make a further stop at Al Mudayrib and Ibra to view the watch towers which proudly overlook the villages. You will then proceed on your journey back to Muscat City and end the tour.

Day 5: Departure
Departure transfers to Airport to connect the flight back home.
