Costa Del Sol - Ronda - Arcos De La Frontera - Jerez De La Frontera

On the White Villages route, you will first travel to the picturesque mountain town of Ronda. Ronda impresses with its spectacular location, the old town reminiscent of the Middle Ages with its numerous bridges, churches and palaces as well as the unforgettable views of the mountainous surroundings from many points in the town. The imposing "Puente Nuevo" bridge, built in the 18th century, offers impressive views into the hundred-meter-deep Tagus Gorge. In addition to a tour of the city, we recommend a visit to the oldest bullring in Spain and the former collegiate church of Santa Marรญa la Mayor.

Continue through beautiful and unique nature reserves. Via Arcos de la Frontera you reach todayโ€™s destination, Jerez de la Frontera - a former border town between Moorish and Christian Spain. The town, which stands for rural Andalusia, is known today for its horse studs and bull farms, as well as for its typical wines, which were given the name sherry by the English. The Alcรกzar, a palace fortress from the 11th century and a testimony to the Moorish history of the time with a mezquita and Arab baths, towers over a hill in the city. 1 overnight stay in a 3-4* hotel in the Cadiz/Jerez area

  • Day 3 Jerez - Cadiz - Seville
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Jerez - Cadiz - Seville

The morning is free for a visit to a sherry cellar, where you can discover the world of sherry production. You can also visit the Spanish Riding School, where purebred Spanish horses are trained, and drive to the Atlantic coast on the Bay of Cรกdiz to El Puerto de Santa Marรญa, a charming harbor town known for its fish and seafood specialties. Continue to Cรกdiz, the oldest city in Europe, which juts out into the sea as a peninsula surrounded by the Atlantic. Founded by the Phoenicians, it enchants visitors with its charm and is reminiscent of the glorious days of the Spanish Empire. The first Spanish constitution was proclaimed here in 1812. Continue to Seville - the capital and cultural center of Andalusia.

2 nights in a 4* hotel in Seville or the surrounding area.

  • Day 4 Seville
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Seville

Discover Seville! Worth seeing is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world with the cityโ€™s landmark, the Giralda, the former minaret of the Almohad mosque and the Alcรกzar, one of the most outstanding examples of Andalusian Mudejar architecture. A walk through Marรญa Luisa Park takes you to the sites of the 1929 Universal Exposition, such as Plaza Espaรฑa and Plaza de Amรฉrica and its pavilions. The old town district of Santa Cruz with its countless bars and taverns invites you to enjoy a tapas stroll.

  • Day 5 Seville - Carmona - Cรณrdoba
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Seville - Carmona - Cรณrdoba

Drive to Carmona, a small town that was founded by the Carthaginians and expanded by the Romans and is known for its Roman necropolis. Drive along the fertile Guadalquivir valley to Cรณrdoba. This is where Moorish Spain experienced its first and probably never again achieved spiritual, cultural and economic heyday.

The former caliphate palace city of Medinat az-Zahra lies in an imposing location in the Sierra Morena just outside Cรณrdoba. In the afternoon, we recommend a visit to the mosque-cathedral in Cรณrdoba with its impressive forest of columns and the former Jewish quarter with its synagogue.

1 overnight stay in a 4* hotel in Cรณrdoba.

  • Day 6 Cรณrdoba - รšbeda - Baeza - Granada
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Cรณrdoba - รšbeda - Baeza - Granada

Whether you stay longer in Cรณrdoba or take a detour on the way to Granada via the two Renaissance towns of รšbeda and Baeza with their impressive palaces from the "Siglo de Oro" is up to you. The route to Granada leads through endless olive groves and the sparsely populated Andalusian hinterland.

2 nights in a 3-4* hotel in Granada.

  • Day 7 Granada
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Granada

Todayโ€™s highlight is a visit to the Alhambra with the royal courts, the Palace of Charles V and the Generalife, the magnificent gardens that were the summer residence of the sultans. Stroll through the picturesque old quarter of the Albayzรญn, with its winding alleyways and enchanting courtyards, as well as through the lively city center with the cathedral, the Capilla Real with the tomb of the Catholic Monarchs, the madrasa and the former caravanserai. Lunchtime in Granada - the perfect time for typical Spanish tapas! We invite you to an old, traditional bodega in the center of the city, where the Granadinos meet - not the tourists! Enjoy tapas with a drink of your choice
