Your guide and driver will greet you at your hotel lobby at the appointed pick-up time in the morning, and then you’ll have a guided walking tour starting with the Zocalo. Here stands the largest Cathedral in the Americas, built on the site of the former grand Aztec temple 'Teocalli'. The National Palace (Palacio Nacional), built atop the Palace of Moctezuma, serves as the President's offices now. You'll also see the Templo Mayor (from the outside), a pre-Columbian temple in the heart of the city. Then, head south of the city for a unique experience on a boat on the Xochimilco Lake, having lunch there and enjoying local music from a Mariachi band amidst vibrant Mexican colors and flavors. In the afternoon, follow your guide to walk through the bohemian village of Coyoacan, where artists still reside, to visit the Frida Kahlo Museum (Blue House). Next, discover the nearby House of Leon Trotsky. We will drive you back to your hotel in the late afternoon. This morning we will head to the archeological site of Teotihuacan to see the iconic buildings, the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon. Afterwards, we will visit a carved obsidian workshop on the way back to Mexico City, learning about the history and significance of obsidian, observing the carving process, etc. At 13:00, start your gastronomic tour in the heart of the La Roma district, where you'll taste the rich and diverse flavors of Mexican cuisine. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the tour covers a distance of approximately 2.5 km on foot. Afterwards, return to your hotel in the late afternoon.
