  • Day 1 Day 1: Cuzco-Pilcopata, Peru

      Day 1: Cuzco-Pilcopata, Peru

      Cuzco - Cloud Forest - Pilcopata (L/D)

      Wake up very early in the morning as you leave Cuzco between 5:30-6:00am on an uphill journey to the high mountain area of Paucartambo on a relaxing bus ride. Visit the pre-Inca burial towers known as the Chullpas of Ninamarca on the way. Enjoy the sight of exquisite orchids, exotic heliconias, and primitive ferns while descending through the mystical cloud forest. Stop to witness the mingling of cartoonish Andean cock-of-the-rocks, the national bird of Peru. You might also catch a glimpse of several other bird species such as trogons & Amazonian umbrellabirds, or be lucky enough to catch a view of the spectacled bear, the only endangered bear in South America. You will then arrive at the village of Pilcopata, where you will check-into your accommodation and overnight.

      Pilcopata-Atalaya-Paititi Lodge-Jungle Walk-Canopy Zipline (B/L/D)
      After an early breakfast you will leave for a bus trip. After about 45 minutes you will reach Atalaya. From there you will take a 30-min boat ride to the jungle. Get settled into your accommodation and take a group walk to discover various species of birds, insects, and other animals. Here you can indulge in a canopy zipline activity. Get your adrenaline rushing as you fly past beautiful jungle landscapes for approximately 20 minutes. You will then abseil 30 meters back to the jungle floor. This activity lasts about 2 hours. Overnight at Paititi Lodge.

      Parrot Clay Lick-Machu Huasi Lake (B/L/D)
      Wake up early and leave on a boat ride for about 30min to the parrot clay lick, an area where dozens of polychrome parrots gather to feed by licking clay deposits. Discover colourful species of parrots, macaws, and animals such as frogs, turtles and the brown capuchin monkey. Then, explore the tracks along the Machu Huasi Lake and observe the South American caimans and capybaras, the world’s largest rodent species. Interact with nature and observe the wild orchids, exotic bromelia, ferns, and other flora of the region before you return to your accommodation for the night.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Manu Jungle, Peru

      Day 4: Manu Jungle, Peru

      Hot Springs and Waterfalls (B/L/D)
      After an early breakfast you will take a boat journey down the Alto Madre de Dios River to the hot springs of Aguas Calientes. Enjoy the scenic views and spot wildlife on the banks along the way. Your first stop will be at the native community of Shintuya, where you can walk around and learn about the culture of the area. Continue your journey by boat and arrive at Aguas Calientes hot springs. Take a dip and relax in the hot springs before returning back to the lodge in the afternoon. Later, enjoy a night walk.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Manu Jungle-Cuzco, Peru

      Day 5: Manu Jungle-Cuzco, Peru

      Paititi Lodge-Atalaya-Pilcopata-Cuzco (B/L)
      After breakfast, you will head back on a 30-min boat ride up to the port of Atalaya as you absorb the last sights and sounds of the tropical rainforest and then transfer back to Cuzco. The tour ends there around 18:30, but the memories will last a lifetime.
