This morning at around 5:30 am your guide will pick you up from your hotel for our road trip to Soti Khola. The first four hours we drive on sealed roads, but after arriving at Dhading Bensi (1050m) the road is unsealed and more jarring as it heads to Arughat and Soti Khola, the district headquarters of the Dhading district.

    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

After breakfast is out of the way we head out on the trail passing through the woods while heading upriver along the banks of the Budhi Gandaki River. We then descend to the riverbed. We then take a trail across the mountains with frequent views down to the river far below us.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Trek From Machhakhola To Jagat (1340M) 6-7 Hours.
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

As we head out on the trail this morning we first head to and cross over the Machha Khola River and then head through the village of Khorlabesi (920m) before coming to Tatopani, a well-known village where people visit for its therapeutic hot springs. We then trek through a forested area as we make our way to the Dovan Khola (river) and then ultimately enter the Budhi Gandaki Valley. As you trek through these higher altitudes you will notice a change in the type of vegetation - right up until we come to Jagat Village.

This morning we follow the trail through the valley to Sirdibas Village from where we enjoy remarkable view of Shringi Himal. After we cross the suspension bridge we have a steep ascent to Philim, with many waterfalls cascading down on both sides of the valley. The next villages we come to are Ekle Bhatti and then Pewa Village. We continue along this trail until we emerge from the valley and arrive at Deng Village.

Today is a physically demanding section of the trek as we begin by climbing higher before returning back down to the Budi Gandaki River. The trail then takes us through the valley and via several small settlements along the way. As we get closer to Namrung Village we will see many Mani stones (stones with carved with Tibetan mantras), an indication that we are getting deeper into Tibetan Buddhist lands. This afternoon we will take a small detour to Prok village  - a 2 hour round trip, and then return to Namrung.

    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 6: Trek From Namrung To Samagaon, (3,530M) 6-7 Hours.

As we pass through the Mani stone walls leading into Lho village you will get the impression that you have stepped back in time in this unchanged environment. From Lho village we have some great views of the snow capped peak of Ngadi Chuli (7871m aka Peak 29). We will once again take a short detour to the Pungen Glacier for an in-the-face view of Mt. Manaslu.

We keep to this trail until we come to the isolated Tibetan refugee village of Samdo that is very close to the Nepal/Tibetan border. The afternoon is free for you to wander around the village and adjacent hills.

This morning we head out on the trail and cross a wooden bridge over the Budi Gandaki River and then have a slow ascent until we come to Dharamsala with its green fields, nearby mountain views and Larkya Glacier. At Dharamsala tonight we will enjoy some magnificent mountain views.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Cross Larkya La (5,160M) To Bimtang (3,720M) 8-9 Hours.
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 9: Cross Larkya La (5,160M) To Bimtang (3,720M) 8-9 Hours.

The trail today takes us to the highest point on the Manaslu Circuit Trek, Larkya La Pass (5106m). From here you have clear views of Larkya Peak, Mt. Manaslu, Ratna Chuli, Cheo Himal and many other snows capped Himalayan Mountains. As we exit the pass we have a rapid descent and pass a small iced-over lake as we follow the trail across a rocky terrain. At this altitude it will be much cooler necessitating you add an extra layer of clothing. We will then come to Bhimthang where we will stay overnight.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Trek From Bhimthang To Dharapani (1,900M) 6-7 Hours.
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 10: Trek From Bhimthang To Dharapani (1,900M) 6-7 Hours.

Today is our final day on the trail as we head downhill and across a large pasture before crossing a suspension bridge over the Dudh Khola (river). We then take the trail through rhododendron and oak forests. In springtime, particularly, the rhododendron forest is bright with white, pink and red flowers. We then continue on this trail for about 6 to 7 hours before we arrive at Dharapani in the Annapurna region. At this point the trail crosses the Annapurna trail. You may choose to extend this trek and include the Annapurna trail. We eventually arrive at Dharapani where we stay the night.

    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

The trip to Kathmandu takes you through lush green hills, across terraced farmlands and on the return journey you will have some imposing mountain views. At Kathmandu, we will take you to your hotels in Thamel where you can relax and celebrate the completion of this awesome trekking adventure to Manaslu.
