      Day 1-3: Lusaka To South Luangwa

      South Luangwa Arrive at Lusaka airport were you will connect and fly with Pro-Flight to Kafue Airport. Upon arrival at Kafue Airport, you will be met by a representative from Flat Dogs Camp who will take you direct to the lodge. Spend the first 3 Nights of your African Safari at Flat Dogs Camp. Flatdogs Camp is situated just outside of the South Luangwa National Park in a riverside forest on the banks of the Luangwa River overlooking the park. The Luangwa national park is one of the most prolific and bountiful parks covering an area of 9000 kilometresยฒ (3,475 square miles) of pristine wilderness in Zambia's Eastern Province. There are 6 standard rooms located in three chalets with a downstairs double room surrounded by a cool veranda and an upstairs twin room with a high thatched roof and views of the river. Activities include morning and afternoon/night game drives as well as walking safaris all accompanied by fully qualified guides.       Kariba Early morning breakfast before the lodge transfers you back to Mfuwe Airport for your flight to Lusaka on Proflight. Upon arrival at Lusaka International Airport you will be met by a local guide who will guide you to your safari vehichle. From Lusaka you drive to Kariba via the Kariba Border. You guide will take you straight to Caribbea Bay Resort/Hotel for an overnight rest before your Mana Pools safari the next day. Caribbea Bay Resort is located a short drive from the town, on the shore of Lake Kariba, one of the largest man-made lakes on the African continent, bordered by Zimbabwe and Zambia. The well-appointed resort with its 83 rooms, seven of which are suites, has so much to offer. Deliberately fashioned with a Mediterranean coast ambience, Caribbea Bay Resort is an ideal base from which to explore this unique part of Zimbabwe or just enjoy a sun-filled holiday in relaxed comfort.       Mana Pools A relaxed morning today before your transfer into Mana Pools after breakfast. The drive to Mana Pools is a game drive on it own with high chances of coming across a lot of wildlife inside the park. The camp staff at Camp Zambezi will give you a heart-warming welcome into Camp. Camp Zambezi is a true bush camp on the bank of the mighty Zambezi River - no electricity, no permanent structures, no plumbing - a taste of the way safaris used to be. The camp is designed to be erected or dismantled within hours, leaving no trace of its existence on the surrounding environment. Adding to its rustic luxury, the camp has comfortable beds furnished with linen and duvets. The large tents have en suite toilet facilities for night use. The romantic light thrown by candelabra makes a bush dinner, surrounded by the sounds of evening and a million stars, a truly special African occasion.
