  • Day 1 Welcome To Laos - Luang Prabang Arrival

      Welcome To Laos - Luang Prabang Arrival

      Your Laos adventure begins with your arrival in Luang Prabang. Your private driver will meet you at the airport, holding a signboard with your name. He will escort you to your accommodation right in the heart of the city. You can easily explore the city at your own pace, visit an authentic night market or relax at the hotel after the flight.

  • Day 2 Luang Prabang Sightseeing - Visiting Kuang Si Waterfall (B)

      Luang Prabang Sightseeing - Visiting Kuang Si Waterfall (B)

      Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and start your Luang Prabang exploration by visiting the most photographed temple, Vat Xiengthong, which is located in the picturesque area at the end of the peninsular where the Mekong and Khan rivers meet. Then continue to the former Royal Palace. Now it is the National Museum, where you can see the royal religious objects, weapons, paintings, and crown jewels of Laos. Then, visit Wat Mai, a temple renowned for its golden bas-relief. During Pimai, the Lao New Year, this temple is used for displaying the artifacts from the Royal Palace Museum. 

      In the afternoon, we will drive along green rice paddies and farms to one of the most beautiful Kuang Si waterfalls. Enjoy a leisure walk on trails of falls to visit the bear rescued center. Enjoy spectacular views and the orchids inside the park and falls cascade over many calcified tiers and down several hundred feet into a series of cool, turquoise pools. Later return to your hotel.

      OPTIONAL TOUR - OBSERVING THE ALMS GIVING CEREMONY

      An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning almsgiving ritual to saffron-clad monks. This tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving this procession. Next, visit fresh local markets before going back to the hotel for breakfast.

  • Day 3 Pak Ou Caves - Departure

      Pak Ou Caves - Departure

      Have breakfast at the hotel and meet your guide. We will transfer you to the pier, where you board a traditional long trail boat. Enjoy a relaxing cruise upstream on the mighty Mekong River. Enjoy stunning mountain scenery and witness the simple rural lifestyle of the locals. At the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Ou rivers, you will reach Pak Ou caves. In these two caves, there are over 4000 sacred centuries-old Buddha images, which are the object of pilgrimages during the Lao New Year festivities around mid-April. Then cruiseback to Luang Prabang. On the way, stop to visit Ban Xangkhong, a weaving village, where you can jump into wooden looms with a local expert for hands-on experience.

      Later we will transfer you to the airport for your flight home or to your next destination.
