      You have the option to start your day early and witness the daily Morning Alms Giving Ritual, which is a unique tradition preserved by Laos as the only Buddhist nation still practicing this procession. After this, take an enjoyable UNESCO morning walk to explore the cityโ€™s charm before returning to your hotel for breakfast. 

      The tour continues with a visit to Wat Visoun, featuring the impressive Thad Makmo stupa with a rounded dome that is more Sinhalese in style than Lao. We will then proceed to Wat Aham and Wat Xieng Thong, where the several roofs are uniquely designed to sweep low to the ground, and view the striking "tree of life" mosaic. The exterior of the chapel also features a gilt panel that depicts semi-erotic episodes from the Ramayana.

      We will then head to the National Museum and feast our eyes on the cityโ€™s remarkable array of shimmering temples and French colonial buildings. Lastly, we will visit Wat May - built in 1796 - and admire the five-tiered roof of the wooden Sim (chapel) that epitomizes the graceful architectural style of Luang Prabang. 

      Meals will be self-provided and you can enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel in Luang Prabang.

      After breakfast at your hotel, our guide and driver will meet and accompany you on a 30-minute drive south of Luang Prabang to the Elephant Village. Here, you will have the opportunity to visit with elephants before embarking on a hike (25 minutes) with one person per elephant and no howdahs.

      In the afternoon, we will travel outside of Luang Prabang through lush green rice paddies and farms. We will stop to visit a few villages of Hโ€™mong and Lao Loum people, where your guide can introduce you to the locals and provide opportunities to engage in their daily activities such as wooden cotton spinning, weaving, rice harvesting, and green vegetable farming. When we arrive at Kuang Si Falls, you will have the chance to admire the main waterfallโ€™s spectacular views and orchids within the park. The falls cascade over numerous calcified tiers and flow several hundred feet into a series of cool, turquoise pools where you can take a refreshing swim. At the end of the day, we will transfer you back to Luang Prabang.
