Following the Thames Valley, we will leave London behind crossing the countryside until arriving in the historic town of Windsor whose architecture is immersed in the atmosphere of the Tudor, Georgian and Victorian styles. We will visit the famous Eton College, founded in 1440 for poor children and, today, one of the most exclusive and traditional in the country where the princes of England study. We will visit the castle from the outside. It has always been the residence of the English Crown and it is intimately connected with the history of this country. On the days when Her Majesty holds official receptions, some areas are closed to the public. -Transportation to Windsor via the River Thames. - Assistance of our guide. PATRICK´S CATHEDRAL T18 (2 hrs)(35 EUR) We will visit Ireland’s oldest Univerisity founded in 1592 – Trinity College. It is one of the most prestigious universities in Europe attended by many known cultural and scientific personalities. We will visit its magnificent library founded in the 18th century which proudly displays its wonderful architecture. The Long Room is 64 metres long and completely made of oak. Several internationally famous movies have been filmed there. We will also find there the illuminated manuscripts which date back to the 7th century on, as well as the Book of Kells also known as The Cathach of St. Columba. We will also visit the campus where we will observe the architecture of its buildings and the student atmosphere.
