    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: London To Paris

The time of your life starts now in London town. Say your goodbyes and grab any last minute snacks before we hit the road in search of Paris. Wave farewell as we leave behind the famous White Cliffs of Dover. The chalk cliffs that edge the English coastline are the first of many natural beauties weโ€™ll see on our trip. Weโ€™ll soon arrive in Calais, where a historical talk will give us a poignant glimpse of the past, as we take in the World War One battlefields and pass the Valley of the Somme. We know you've been dreaming of Parisian sights since way back when. Itโ€™s straight down to business as we kick things off with a night tour, marvelling at the city sparkling with lights and romance from the top of the Montparnasse Tower. City of love, city of light, city of bridges...Paris is known in many ways and loved the world over. Cheese, wine, macarons, iconic sights at every corner, museums, fashion, the list is endless and the good times are only just beginning.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Paris
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 2: Paris

Paris is your oyster (or snail) today - an open book with pages begging to be turned. Stroll the cobbled streets and leafy boulevards. Break a baguette in one of the many beautiful parks, stroll the endless walkways of The Louvre, Montmartre, or Notre Dame. Snap a selfie from the top of La Tour Eiffel then explore the bars and boutiques of the hipster Left Bank or Le Marais.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Paris To Lucerne
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 3: Paris To Lucerne

This morning we wind our way through the French countryside, past the scenic vineyards of the Burgundy region and across the border to Switzerland. Just when you think France is the most scenic place on Earth, we cross the border into Switzerland and the charming town of Lucerne. Cobbled streets, fairytale medieval architecture, snow-capped mountain backdrops and swans floating past on the sparkling lake make this a setting fit for fairytales. Tonightโ€™s your chance to sample a traditional cheese fondue before we get ready for a busy day tomorrow in this scenic paradise.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Lucerne
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 4: Lucerne

The day is yours to enjoy the great outdoors. Take an optional trip up Mount Pilatus via a cable car and cogwheel railway, where you can go hiking, ride Switzerlandโ€™s longest summer toboggan or simply take in the views. Speaking of views, there are plenty more of those if instead you choose to take a cruise on Lake Lucerne, sitting back and drinking in the meadows, forests and mountain peaks. Back in town, youโ€™re free to pick up some souvenirs (a Swiss watch? A cowbell?), check out the wooden Chapel Bridge (dated 1333) and nibble on some delicious chunks of cheese (or chocolate) before dinner tonight.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Lucerne To Beaujolais Wine Region
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 5: Lucerne To Beaujolais Wine Region

Watch the Alpine vistas fade into the distance as we head back into France. The best is yet to come when you check into Contikiโ€™s very own โ€“ and very spectacular - 16th century chateau... Nestled amidst the rolling hills of the Beaujolais wine region, with newly refurbed rooms and luxe dressing rooms, the Chateau is the perfect backdrop to summer days and nights lounging by the pool. Included tonight is a French feast and wine tasting, followed by a night at our on-site bar, โ€˜La Caveโ€™. Please note: Due to so many people wanting to party with us, certain departures will be moved from Contiki's Chateau de Cruix to the French Gastronomic Capital of Lyon (a title which ain't given lightly, believe us!) We'll get the party started with an included meal at a local restaurant, accompanied by local wine. We'll also uncover all the city's magic on a guided tour.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Beaujolais Wine Region To Barcelona
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 6: Beaujolais Wine Region To Barcelona

Bonjour Beaujolais! Wake up and salute the sun illuminating the vineyards at a laid-back morning yoga class on the Chateau lawns. Thereโ€™s time to savor some coffee and a pain au chocolat at the breakfast buffet before we swing south into Spain. Sunshine year round, great food and even better locals โ€“ thatโ€™s just the start of Barcelonaโ€™s never-ending list of delights. Today we'll embark on an included Gothic Walking Tour, checking out the city's greatest haunts. Afterwards, you'll have some free time for dinner, whether you choose paella or tapas (not forgetting sangria), itโ€™s time to let the good times roll.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Barcelona
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 7: Barcelona

Today you have plenty of free time to discover Barcelonaโ€™s best sites. Hit up the beach, search for souvenirs on La Rambla or browse designer shops on Passeig de Gracia. Donโ€™t miss the Sagrada Familia and Gaudiโ€™s other architectural wonders. Foodies will love La Boqueria market and sports fans wonโ€™t want to miss a visit to Camp Nou, home of FC Barcelona. Just save some energy for tonight, with a chance to get tickets for a fiery traditional Flamenco show on the cards.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Barcelona To French Riviera
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 8: Barcelona To French Riviera

As smitten as we are by Barcelona, we have more of Europe to explore. Much, much more... You're not a real celebrity until you've frolicked on the French Riviera, and who are we to keep you off the A-List? Discover sapphire waters & endless glamour as we roll along this glitzy coastline.

  • Day 9 Day 9: French Riviera Including Monaco
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 9: French Riviera Including Monaco

Nowhere says โ€˜French chicโ€™ like Nice, and today is your chance to browse the tempting stalls of the market, climb to the castle (or take the lift) for breathtaking views over the Cote dโ€™Azur or make like the locals, sipping a pastis and watching the world go by. You could also choose to pedal through town on a bike tour, before we drive along the shimmering coastline to Monaco later today. Missing an opportunity to see this glorious part of the world up close and personal would be criminal. Speaking of things you shouldn't miss, this region is famous for lavender honey, aioli & rosรฉ wine; all 3 in one meal should be your mission. You're going to want a few spare coins tonight so you can play fancy in Monte Carlo. Here youโ€™ll have time for dinner before we get ready for an evening of glamour at the Monte Carlo Casino, forever immortalized on screen as James Bondโ€™s nightspot of choice. After a night on the blackjack table, it's back to the coast and to bed, the next part of the adventure starts tomorrow.

  • Day 10 Day 10: French Riviera To Florence
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 10: French Riviera To Florence

Today we say our farewells to the French Riviera and take our first jaunt into Italy. Pizza, pasta, & charming locals are about to warm us from the inside out. As if we were going to head straight to Florence without a sneaky side trip to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Depriving you of the chance to perfect the holding-up-the-tower shot would be down right criminal. And welcome to Florence. Home to red roofs, Renaissance architecture and rustic cuisine - which we'll have the chance to experience first hand on a traditional Tuscan evening. Make sure you're hungry!

  • Day 11 Day 11: Florence To Rome
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 11: Florence To Rome

Today will be split nicely between two of Italy's best cities, with Rome on our afternoon to-do list. First up is frolicking around Florence this morning, with our local guide taking us behind the scenes & revealing the city's cultural beginnings followed by a leather craft demonstration, part of Florence's artisan history. We'll stop for lunch at a traditional Olive Oil mill (where the traditional hospitality is sure to knock your socks off!) After a journey of romantic views past cypress trees and olive groves, we'll arrive in the Eternal City of Rome. Wasting no time uncovering the city, we'll take a tour of some of the biggest Italian icons, with famous sights and photo stops include the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Whatever you do, donโ€™t miss out on those other timeless classics โ€“ pizza, pasta and Italian gelato.

  • Day 12 Day 12: Rome
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 12: Rome

You could explore one of the world's greatest icons this morning, and walk in the footsteps of gladiators, it's hard to believe these sights still exist, and when in Rome of course! If an unveiling of the Colosseum isn't your jam, make the day your own and do all the quintessential Italian things, like sipping endless espressos while the world rides by on Vespa. We recommend heading to the Trastevere for the ultimate people watching, over a steaming bowl of carbonara in its true home, flanked by a caprese salad of fresh tomatoes, creamy mozzarella and basil. Opt to take an optional guided tour of the Vatican Museums, including the Sistine Chapel. Religious or not, the Vatican's Italian Renaissance church will send shivers down your spine. This is also the day to learn a thing or two about the Colosseum & do a bit of your own exploring. Espressos and people watching should be high priority.

  • Day 13 Day 13: Rome To Venice
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 13: Rome To Venice

Today we bid a reluctant โ€˜Arrivederciโ€™ to Rome and travel towards the top of Italyโ€™s โ€˜bootโ€™, headed for Venice, famed city of canals. Weโ€™ll stop off along the way for free time and lunch in Padua, a city with history and hipster all rolled into one. Padua university was one of the first in the world and was home to Galileo, but itโ€™s still going strong, giving the city a vibey student feel. It's also worth checking out Giottoโ€™s famous frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel, a kind of amazing medieval comic depicting the life of Christ. Who can fail to fall in love with the watery wonderland that is Venice? With no roads, Venice is built on over 100 small islands, with 400 bridges crossing 150 canals including the main Grand Canal, lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces for us to explore tomorrow.

  • Day 14 Day 14: Venice
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 14: Venice

Buongiorno! Venice is ours for a full and glorious Italian day. We'll start exploring The Floating City by jumping aboard our own private motoscafo boat and cruising the canals en route to the historical heart of the city. Next, you have the option to discover hidden Venice with a guided walking tour or a traditional gondola ride, or take a guided cruise out to the UNESCO heritage site of Burano. At this picture-perfect fishermanโ€™s island decorated with gorgeous technicolour houses, youโ€™ll visit a local family restaurant and indulge in the best seafood feast youโ€™ve ever experienced.

  • Day 15 Day 15: Venice To Austrian Tyrol
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 15: Venice To Austrian Tyrol

Farewell gentle canals and hello wild Alpine waters. As we arrive in the Austrian Tyrol, an optional white-water rafting adventure should get the adrenaline pumping nicely. Once you catch your breath, we'll be resting up in a Contiki Special Stay, a local Austrian Gasthof (guest house) that's waiting for us with open arms. This is the perfect retreat for relaxing and swapping stories, while feasting on authentic Austrian food and local beer prepared fresh on site.

  • Day 16 Day 16: Austrian Tyrol
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 16: Austrian Tyrol

Wake up, peel open your curtains, and take in the magnificence of your view. If you're feeling lively you can jump onto a bike tour through green mountains and waterfalls. If you're feeling really lively you can go tandem paragliding. Not so lively? Stroll around and take in the incredible setting; drink endless hot chocolate, go up a mountain in a gondola or relax at our Gasthof.

  • Day 17 Day 17: Austrian Tyrol To Munich Via Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Polish off your stay in Austria, with the excitement of our impending visit to Germany. Before we arrive in Munich, we make a sobering stop at Dachau Concentration Camp memorial to remember Germany's turbulent past. Day 20: Prague To Berlin

Pack your bags and say your sincere thanks to the Czech Republic for being such a lovely host. As promised, we're heading back to Germany for a bout in Berlin. A drive from Prague to Berlin would not be complete without stopping in Dresden. Destroyed by World War II, the rebuilt town is now a symbol of resilience, soaked in the rebirthed beauty of an Opera house, the domed Frauenkirche, & the Royal Residence. On the world map of party vibes, Berlin has a gold star. We've got two nights to explore every inch of this iconic city and we'll kick it off with a tour to learn about its troubled but fascinating past. Or choose an alternative walking tour to see the street art and counter-culture that tourists often miss. The nightlife is also yours for the taking, so this is your chance to scope out some of the underground raves or cocktail-lounge-in-the-basement scenarios that make this city a world famous party spot.
