21-Day Victoria Falls To Serengeti (Camping)

Leaving the majestic Victoria Falls behind we hit the road and start our safari today. Travelling through small villages and lush countryside our journey takes us to the southern plateau and Zambias capital, Lusaka.

South Luangwa National Park covers over 9,000 sq km is one of the worlds greatest wildlife sanctuaries with high concentrations of wildlife. The Luangwa River flows through the park and the riverbanks are popular for sightings of elephant, hippo and other wildlife. Our camp overlooks a bend in the river giving us exellent views over the sandy riverbed to view passing animals.On arrival at our camp, there are opportunities to book various optional activities including village walks and walking safaris.

This morning is free to enjoy some relaxation time - lounge in the communal area at the pool or take an optional excursion to game walk or game drive in the park this morning. In the afternoon we board the Open Game Drive vehicles with a local ranger in search of some of the animals and birdlife that the park is so famous for. With one of the highest concentrations of leopard for any National Park, we hope that South Luangwa will show us these and many of its other inhabitants.
