Flights

You will be responsible for booking your own international flights. We additionally recommend you do not book your airfare until your place on the tour is confirmed. Please make sure to check the times that your tour will start and end before booking your flights.

Optional excursions are not included in the tour cost. All optional excursions are booked on tour and paid in cash to your tour leader, unless stated otherwise. Insurance

When you sign up for an Expat Explore tour, you are required to secure adequate travel insurance cover for the duration of your trip. If you cannot provide Expat Explore with proof of adequate travel insurance prior to the start of your tour, you will not be permitted to embark on day one. The requirements include the following coverage: Trip Interruption Trip Delay Medical Expenses Quarantine Expenses and Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation The insurance must also cover medical costs and a medically imposed quarantine if the insured or someone the insured has come into contact with, tests positive for COVID-19.       Hola Peru! Welcome to the first day of your tour of this amazing country. The first stop is Lima, Peruโ€™s capital city. Arrive at the hotel, check in and freshen up. This evening, meet your tour leader and fellow Expat Explore travellers for a tour briefing and find out more about what to look forward to over the next 11 days! Afterwards, enjoy a welcome dinner with the group.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Lima - Flight To Arequipa

      Day 2: Lima - Flight To Arequipa

      Fuel up on breakfast before transferring to Jorge Chavez International Airport. Catch a short flight to Arequipa. Located in the south of Peru, this colonial town is filled with Baroque architecture and bordered by three impressive volcanoes! Arrive and check into the hotel. Next, explore this charming place on a city tour with a local guide. Spend your free time this afternoon wandering more of the streets and decide on a place to enjoy dinner. Choose from the variety of local restaurants and enticing street food vendors!

  • Day 3 Day 3: Arequipa - Puno

      Day 3: Arequipa - Puno

      Take it easy this morning in Arequipa before transferring to Puno at lunchtime. En route, make comfort stops at Pampa Caรฑahuas and Lagunillas. During the stopovers, sip on local coca leaf tea and keep an eye out for indigenous wildlife and birdlife. See if you can spot vicuรฑas (similar to llamas). Arrive in Puna this evening and check into the hotel.
