  • Day 1 Lhasa Arrival

      Lhasa Arrival

      Welcome to Lhasa! Lhasa as the capital of Tibet Autonomous Region of China and the political, economic, cultural and religious center of Tibet, is a city full of both human and natural landscapes.


      Upon arrival, you will be met by your guide and driver at the airport/train station, then transfer to the hotel for check in. The rest of the day is for you to acclimatize the high altitude in the hotel.

  • Day 2 Lhasa City Tour

      Lhasa City Tour

      Today your tour will begin from UNESCO World Heritage site โ€” Potala Palace, which is also the winter palace of Dalai Lama. Itโ€™s situated at 12,139 feet above sea level. Itโ€™s a 13-story high building that contains about 2500 rooms, various statues, stupas, murals and artifacts.


      Then continue to Jokhang Temple, another UNESCO World Heritage site. Itโ€™s a spiritual center for Buddhists in Tibet. Next to the temple, there is Bakhor Street, filled with pilgrims and street vendors, selling traditional Tibetan items such as prayer wheels and jewelry.

  • Day 3 Lhasa City Tour

      Lhasa City Tour

      In the morning, after breakfast, we will head to visit Dadong village, a traditional Tibetan village, located in the hidden valley in the southwest corner of Lhasa. It is one of the best protected and most complete Tibetan ancient villages, with a history of nearly 2000 years, where Tsangyang Gyatso once lived. Weโ€™ll have a family visit in the village, experience the local lives.



      Afterwards, go visit Sera Monastery---It was one of the โ€œthree greatโ€ Gelug monasteries of Tibet and was founded in 1419. The highlight is the Monks debate at around 15:00โ€“17:00.

  • Day 4 Lhasa - Yamdrok Tso โ€“ Shigatse

      Lhasa - Yamdrok Tso โ€“ Shigatse

      Today weโ€™ll say goodbye to Lhasa and leave for Gyantse. Youโ€™ll admire the Gampala pass (4790 m) on the way, and get a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso Lake (4400m), which is surrounded by many snow-capped mountains. 


      Then continue to drive west towards Gyantse. In Gyantse, you will visit the famous Pelkor Monastery and Gyantse Kumbum. After 1.5 hoursโ€™ driving, weโ€™ll arrive in our destination -- Shigatse, which is the second largest city in Tibet.

  • Day 5 Shigatse - Everest Base Camp

      Weโ€™ll drive directly to our next stop in the morning today. You can take lunch in Lhatse and have a rest. 


      Then continue to drive to Shegar. If the weather is clear enough, you can directly see the Mt. Everest in the distance on the way back down. Donโ€™t worry if you are not satisfied with this quick glance, since later we will have a better chance to encounter the Mt. Everest


      After 4 to 6 hours, arrive in our destination. On the way, weโ€™ll pass Pang la Pass, one of the highest passes in Tibet at 5050m. From that pass, you can enjoy the view of all the five highest peaks in the world.

  • Day 6 Everest Base Camp โ€“ Saga

      What a fantastic day today! In the morning, weโ€™ll go out very early to see the sunrise in Everest Peak if weather is good enough.


      Letโ€™s say goodbye to the Everest Base Camp, and then drive to Saga, along the way, you can see the worldsโ€™14th highest peak Mt. Shishapangma (8012m), and  Turquoise Lake Peiku tso(4590m). If you are lucky enough, you are very likely to see wild animals like wild donkeys, wild antelopes, etc.

  • Day 7 Saga-Darchen

      Today, we are going to Darchen, you will have a chance to appreciate the stunning view of the Saga Valley between Gangdise Range and Himayala Range along the way. Meanwhile, the beautiful grassland and localโ€™s villages can also be seen. 


      As we cross the Mayomla Pass(5112M), you can enjoy the spectacular vista of Mt. Naimonanyi(7694M).  Then we are supposed to pass by the holy Lake Manasarover and finally arrive at the southern foot of Mt.Kailash, the most holy mountain in Tibet. 

  • Day 8 Darchen-Drirapuk

      Exciting day! In the morning, we are supposed to take eco-bus from Darchen to Sarshung valley. Then we will meet Yaks and porters at Sarshung village. (the cost of hiring yaks, horses, and porters are not included in the package) 


      After that, we will start our trek (around 13km) from Sarshung to Drirapuk Monastery along the Lachu valley and rivers. You can enjoy the both west and north face of mountain Kailash today. Later in the day, we will arrive at Drirapuk Monastery for overnight stay. 

  • Day 9 Drirapuk-Dzutrpuk
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Today is a full day trekking. After breakfast early in the morning, we will trek over Dromala Pass (5630m), the highest pass of the Kora. 


      Along the way, we will trek a section of the rocky uphill road. When walking this section of the road, weโ€™d better take a slow pace and watch out our footsteps. Continue our trekking to Dromala pass, we will see the local Tibetan people hanging up the Preyer Flags, constantly reciting six character proverbs. 


      Trek over the pass, we can see a small green lake called Kadoe Lake walking downhill. Later we arrive at a teahouse where we can have a rest. After a short rest, continue our trekking to Zutulpuk Monastery where we will stay overnight today.


      The Preyer Flag is usually hung at the position of the air vent, so that every time the scripture printed on it is blown by the wind, it will be recited again, and the good wishes will be sent to further places with the wind.

  • Day 10 Dzutripuk-Darchen

      Dzutripuk-Darchen

      Another trekking day in Mt.Kailash. Todayโ€™s trekking is raletively easy. After breakfast in the morning, we will trek about 7 km to Zongto where we can take bus to Darchen. 


      Along the Kora, you can see piles of Mani Stones and a milestone on National Highway 1314. Our Trekking tirp will end around noon, and the rest of day is for you to relax in the lodging place.

  • Day 11 Darchen-Saga
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Darchen-Saga

      Today we will drive from Darchen to Saga to visit beautiful Lake Manasorova. It is one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world and the source of four major rivers in Asia. The entire lake is shaped like a full moon, surrounded by six temples. 

  • Day 12 Saga-Sakya

      Saga-Sakya

      After breakfast in the hotel, we will drive about 6-7 hours to Sakya. Along the way, take your time and enjoy the beautiful view outside the window and donโ€™t forget to take some photos.

  • Day 13 Sakya-Shigatse

      Sakya-Shigatse

      Relaxing day! In the morning, we are going to visit ancient Sakya town and we can tour Sakya Monastery with amzing murals and huge collection of scriptures and statues. Then  we are about to drive from Sakya to Shigatse. 

  • Day 14 Shigatse-Lhasa

      Shigatse-Lhasa

      Today we will follow Yalong Valley back to Lhasa. On the way, we can stand on the viewing platform to take photos of the vast Yalong River bed and visit Water Mill making Tibetan Incense material (in Summer, if time permits). Then take your time to have a rest in hotel.

  • Day 15 Lhasa Departure

      After breakfast, youโ€™ll be transferred to the airport to catch your flight based on the schedule. It has been a great Tibet holiday and we look forward to seeing you in another China trip!
