      Your tour starts with your arrival in Lhasa today. There are two ways to arrive in Lhasa: via Nepal and via mainland China. Choose to fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa. You will have a 1 hour 10 minutes Trans-Himalayan flight, considered one of the most beautiful air routes in the world, that takes you over Everest (8848m), Kanchenjunga (8536m) and other Himalayan peaks. If you are coming via mainland China, you should fly from any major cities or take the worldโ€™s highest train route to reach Lhasa. Our Tibetan guide at the airport/train station will receive you. Approximately 1.5 hours drive along a 93 km road from the airport/train station, you will reach Lhasa. Itโ€™s advisable to rest and take it easy for the remainder of the day due to Lhasaโ€™s altitude. Overnight in Lhasa

You can get an awesome view of the entire city from the Mar Po Ri Hill, where the Potala Palace, the 17th-century great monumental structure, stands. Potala Palace, an immense structure with more than 130,000 square meters of interior space, has private quarters of the Dalai Lama and numerous grand state rooms and chapels. Your next visit will be to Drepung Monastery, the residence of the Dalai Lama before Potala Palace, which was built in the 14th century and used to shelter around 10,000 monks some time ago. Explore Gyantse with its historical Gyantse Dzong and Kumbum. Continue to Shigatse, Tibetโ€™s second-largest city, and visit the impressive Tashilhunpo Monastery. Overnight in Shigatse.

      Today, you will traverse the Friendship Highway through a picturesque landscape, passing the small town of Lhatse and the Gyamtso La at 5220m. The journey continues to Rongbuk (5050m/16564ft), where youโ€™ll have the opportunity to explore Everest Base Camp at 5250m/17,220ft, covering a distance of 85 km.


      From Shegar, the route heads south, crossing the Pang La pass at 5150m/16890. As you drive, indulge in the splendour of majestic views, including snow-capped peaks like Makalu and Shishapangma. After an 85 km drive, youโ€™ll reach Rongbuk, which offers a spectacular view of Mt. Everest. Enjoy an overnight stay in Rongbuk, soaking in the awe-inspiring surroundings.

  • Day 6 Explore Everest Base Camp (5250M/17,220 Ft) - And Drive To Kerung (Gyirong) - 400Km

      Todayโ€™s program is to explore Everest Base Camp in the morning. Drive to EBC is allowed only for expeditions, so you must walk 8 km (one way) or take a horse or local bus to reach the Everest Base Camp. You will also visit Rongbuk Monastery, a Buddhist pilgrimage site founded in 1902 by a Nyingmapa Lama in an area of meditation huts that monks and hermits had used for over 400 years. Hermitage meditation caves dot the cliff walls around the monastery complex and up and down the valley. Many walls and stones, carved with sacred syllables and prayers, line the paths. 


      Drive back to Kerung via Tingri and enjoy the great view of Mt. Xishapagma (8,212m) & Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m). Overnight in Kerung.
