Day 1: Arrival Day

Day 2: Ashanti Region

Stop At: Bonwire Kente Weaving Centre, Juaben, Ghana
Bonwire Kente weaving village is a village located in Juaben, Kumasi. This is where the popular Ghanaian local cloth โ€œkenteโ€ originated from. It is also one of the leading kente weaving locations in Ghana. Kente is a local cloth made up of different patterns, colours and designs which is worn on special occasions like festivals, weddings, naming ceremonies as well as enstoolment of kings, queens and chiefs.

Stop At: Manhyia Palace Museum, Ahanti New Town Road off Antoa Road, Kumasi Ghana
Manhyia palace is the home of the King of Asante. It is a palace that upholds the heritage and values of centuries of Ashante culture. It is the administrative headquarters of the โ€œAsante Kingdomโ€. The palace holds history of the Asantes since before the arrival of the British in the Gold Coast during colonial rule till date.

Day 3: Ashanti Region

Stop At: Okomfo Anokye Sword Site, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi Ghana
Okomfo Anokye Sword Site is a sacred site to the people of Asante. It is the site where Okomfo Anokye, a high priest in Ghana planted an unmovable sword known as โ€œ the sword of unity and strengthโ€ to aid in uniting Akans in Ghana. Till now, there are no records of the sword being removed by visitors and nationals.

Stop At: Prempeh II Museum, Bantama High St, Kumasi Ghana
Prempeh II Museum, popularly known as Kumasi National and Cultural Center is a national workshop for crafts, art performances and a museum. The museum was established by Nana Prempeh II and is well noted for portraying Asante culture and history. At the museum, visitors learn about the lifestyle and beliefs of the Ashantis.

Day 4: Tamale

Stop At: Larabanga Mosque, Larabanga Ghana
It is a small Islamic Mosque which had its foundation naturally built with Itโ€™s style and architecture different from all other mosques in the world making it a leading tourist site in the northern region of Ghana.

The Mystery Stone is another interesting tourist site in the Larabanga township: the Mystery behind the stone is that, the stone always moves back to its original resting place when it is been moved from its original place.

The Mole National Park is one of Ghanaโ€™s largest wildlife Park which serve as a habitat to countless and multiple animals and plant types including elephants, buffalos, and many others.

Day 6: Cape Coast

Stop At: Ancestral Slave River Park, Assin Manso Ghana
ssin Manso Slave Camp is a pure historical site where tourists are briefed on the slaves who were taken through the camp for their last bath and later to be auctioned before they were taken to the slave forts. Slaves who were not selected were sometimes shot dead and buried in a hole together. This is a sacred site where people believe the spirits of many ancestors reside and can be felt.

Stop At: Cape Coast Castle, Cape Coast Ghana
Cape Coast Castle is one of the largest of the castles built by European powers in today Ghana. It began as a trade lodge constructed by the Portuguese in 1555 on a part of the Gold Coast, which later became known as the Cape Coast. In 1653, following Swedenโ€™s conquest of the Cape Coast, the Swedish Africa Company constructed a permanent wooden fortress for trade in timber and gold.
It is open to the public and is currently a historical museum with Ghanaian arts and crafts gift shop, and it is the regional headquarters of Ghana Museums and Monuments Board.

Day 7: Cape Coast

Stop At: Kakum National Park, Cape Coast Ghana
The Park is made up of mostly undisturbed virgin rainforest and is one of the famous national parks in Ghana. It protects plant and animal treasures of the African tropical forest. Trails provide self-guided day hiking opportunities where you may sight some of the over 200 bird species represented: the parrot, bee-eaters, blue plantain-eaters, hornbills, and kingfishers. The dense vegetation provides cover for globally endangered species such as the forest elephant and bongo - the largest forest antelope, as well as various types of monkeys.
The Canopy Walkway, suspended 30 meters above the ground, provides a treetop view of the beautiful forest.

Day 8: Volta Region

Stop At: Shai Hills Resource Reserve, Akosombo-Tema Rd Ghana
Ghana is a great destination for bird watching with over 760 bird species and this is one of the amazing places for bird watching.One can encounter the local bird life at a comfortable pace. Shai Hills is a good site to see many species of birds and other insects. There are other animals like Zebra, Ostrich and deer. There are many caves which used to serve as a home for many native centuries ago.

Stop At: Adomi Bridge, Ghana
This is one of the most famous bridges in Ghana.

Day 9: Volta Region

Itโ€™s a beautiful tourist site in the Volta Region and the highest mountain in Ghana, welcoming over thousands of visitors around the world. It takes 40mins-2hours to climb the mountain but depends on the individual.

Stop At: Wli Waterfalls, Hohoe Ghana
The Wli Falls is known to be the longest/highest water fall in West Africa. The fall is locally known as Agumatsa waterfalls, which simply means โ€œAllow Me to Flowโ€.it is located approximately 280km from the capital city of Ghana, Accra.

Stop At: Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary And Cultural Village, Tafi Atome Ghana
It is a forest and a habitat to over 700 Sacred Mona Monkeys population that live in a protection virgin forest which is in a โ€˜Uโ€™ shape form.

Day 10: Accra

Stop At: W.E.B. DuBois Center, 1 Circular Road, Cantonments just few meters from the US Embassy and close to Ghana International School, Accra Ghana
The center is named after William Edward Burghardt Du Bois who was an African-American civil rights activist and later became a citizen of Ghana in the 1960s. He is often known as the โ€˜Father of Pan-Africanismโ€™. The centre is where he once lived with his wife and where they are now buried. It houses his personal library, a small museum with a handful of personal effects such as his graduation robes. The mausoleum is surrounded by Asante stools, a seminar room, a restaurant, a gallery, an amphitheater and a research centre for Pan-African history and culture.

Stop At: Independence Square, Accra Ghana
This is one of the biggest squares in the world which was designed for huge events, military marches and commercial events such as concerts and fashion shows, which take place throughout the year.
It was commissioned to honour the visit of Queen Elizabeth II. The roundabout before the square contains in the center, the Black Star Gate also known as the Black Star Monument which was built in 1961.

Stop At: Center for National Culture, 28th February Rd Near Nkrumah Memorial Park & Mausoleum, Accra Ghana
