  • Day 1 Arrival In Luang Prabang

      Arrival In Luang Prabang

      Arrival in Luang Prabang and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, we will take a short tour of the city, declared a World Heritage Site and considered the spiritual capital of Laos. Located in the north-central part of Laos, it is a very mountainous region where there are more than 50 temples that are a mix of Buddhist architecture and French colonialism. Afterwards, we will climb the 328 steps that lead to the top of Mount Phousi to enjoy a panoramic view of the city and its surroundings. In the evening, we will visit the ethnic market of the mountain tribes. Accommodation in Luang Prabang.

      Visit Temples And Walk Up To Wat Chomphet To See The City At Sunset

      Breakfast. Today we will visit the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum (closed on Tuesdays) and where the highlights are Pha Bang, a standing Buddha made of precious metals; and the Throne Room. The walk will continue to Wat Mai temple, known for its magnificent wood carvings and murals made of pure gold sheets. Afterwards, we will walk to Wat Sensoukarahm temple, whose faรงade is one of the most charming in the entire city due to its bright red colour embroidered with gold ornaments. We will end the morning with a visit to the most famous temple in the city: Wat Xieng Thong built during the 16th century, and undoubtedly one of the most interesting temples in the entire city. In the afternoon, we will visit Wat Visoun, the most sacred temple in the city. We will visit the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre (TAEC), which will give us a greater understanding of the different ethnic groups that coexist in the country. Finally, we will cross the Mekong River to take a walk on the opposite bank and climb Wat Chomphet to have a different view of the city at sunset. Accommodation in Luang Prabang.

  • Day 3 Excursion To Kuang Si Waterfalls

      Excursion To Kuang Si Waterfalls

      Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will visit the Kuang Si waterfalls and forest. This large waterfall is made up of several levels that create pools of turquoise water surrounded by trees. We will enjoy a picnic next to the falls and, if the weather permits, we can swim in the crystal-clear waters. In addition, in the lower part of the park there is a black bear rescue center where more than a dozen of these animals that have been rescued from poachers are cared for and fed. We will end the day by traveling to Luang Prabang and enjoying free time. Accommodation in Luang Prabang.

  • Day 4 Excursion To Pak Ou Caves & Kamu Lodge

      Excursion To Pak Ou Caves & Kamu Lodge

      In the early morning, we can take part in a traditional almsgiving ceremony. Monks in their saffron robes go out to collect offerings from the local people. We will board a traditional boat on the Long River at the pier of Kamu Lodge at 8:30 am and take a ride along the river while enjoying the refreshments served on the boat.

      The boat will take us to visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, which are two connected caves housing thousands of golden Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes, these statues are offerings from pilgrims.

      We will arrive at Kamu Lodge at noon.

      After a break, we can relax or enjoy the activities of daily life in Kamu such as planting and harvesting rice in the rice fields, traditional fishing, archery competitions.

  • Day 5 Destination To Vientiane City

      Destination To Vientiane City

      Breakfast. After a relaxing morning at the lodge where we can do various activities, we will return to Luang Parbang by boat. Upon arrival, we will transfer to the airport to catch our afternoon flight to Vientiane.

      Upon arrival, we will transfer to the hotel and have the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Vientiane.

  • Day 6 Enjoy The Hidden Charms Of This Wonderful Vientiane City

      Enjoy The Hidden Charms Of This Wonderful Vientiane City

      Breakfast. Today we will enjoy a guided tour to discover the hidden charms of this wonderful city. The tour will begin at the peaceful Wat Sisaket, the only temple that has remained intact after the Siamese (Thai) invasion in 1828. We will continue to Wat Phra Keo, known as โ€œthe temple of the Emerald Buddhaโ€ and which is now a museum and the Presidential Palace (visits inside are not permitted). Afterwards, we will visit COPE, an association that helps victims of mines and where we will be able to learn more about the American-Vietnamese conflict and the serious consequences of unexploded mines (UXO). In the afternoon, we will continue to Patuxay, a war memorial dedicated to those who fought for Independence from France. Next, we will visit Pha That Luang or โ€œGreat Stupaโ€. We will end the day watching the sunset on the banks of the Mekong. Accommodation in Vientiane.

  • Day 7 Domestic Flight To Pakse & A Short City Tour

      Domestic Flight To Pakse & A Short City Tour

      Breakfast. Early in the morning, we will go to Vientiane airport to catch our flight to Pakse.

      Upon arrival, we will transfer to the hotel and take a short tour of the city before heading towards the Boloven Plateau. We will drive to Tad Yuang and Tad Fane, where two spectacular twin waterfalls await us, each with a 120m high waterfall that joins in the dense jungle creating a deep gorge. On the way back to Pakse we will visit a tea and/or coffee plantation. The beans grown in this region, located between 1000 and 1300 m above sea level, have become one of the most famous coffees in the world, sometimes called the โ€œChampagne of coffeesโ€. Arrival in Pakse and rest of the day free to enjoy the city. Accommodation in Pakse.

  • Day 8 Destination To Khong Island

      Destination To Khong Island

      Breakfast. Today we will drive to Wat Phou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest archaeological sites in Laos. Wat Phou is a spectacular temple built by the Khmer Empire, which is located amidst rice paddies and canals in southern Laos. Then the journey will continue to Khong Island, which is the largest island in southern Laos and the gateway to the 4000 Islands region. Overnight on Khong Island.

  • Day 9 Excursion To Shiphandon
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Excursion To Shiphandon

      Breakfast. In the morning we visit Don Det and Don Khone, two very quiet islands near the Cambodian border. These islands are not accessible to cars and electricity is only available at night.

      The islands played an important role during the French colonial regime as a link between Laos, Cambodia and South Vietnam. We continue our journey to the Lippi waterfalls, an impressive waterfall. After a walk through the villages near Lippi, we continue towards the southernmost part of Laos and towards the imposing Khone Phapheng waterfalls. In the afternoon we return to Pakse and have free time. Overnight in Pakse.

  • Day 10 Departure From Pakse Airport
