  • Day 1 Arrival In Kathmandu

      After arriving in Kathmandu, our office representative will welcome and pick you up from the airport. Later, he will assist and transfer you to the hotel. 

      In the afternoon, take some time to rest and overcome any jet lag you may be experiencing. Later, visit the Asian Heritage office to gather more insights about your upcoming trek. Feel free to explore Thamelโ€™s local streets and soak in the cityโ€™s vibrant atmosphere.

  • Day 2 Trek Preparation

      Trek Preparation

      Today is the free day before starting the Langtang Valley Trek with Ganja la Pass. During this day off in Kathmandu, you may want to visit Kathmandu Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later that day, weโ€™ll take you to our office for a pre-trip departure meeting to discuss the upcoming trekking and peak climbing adventures. Here, youโ€™ll have the chance to meet your trek guide and other team members. They will brief you about the team formation, equipment, and nature of peak climbing. If you need to buy or rent the equipment for the trek, your guide can assist you.

  • Day 3 Kathmandu To Syabrubesi (1467M) (Driving Approx. 7 Hours)

      Youโ€™ll start your journey after breakfast in Kathmandu. The journey begins with a private jeep drive along the north-western hills of Kathmandu. You can enjoy the landscapes as you pass small towns, terraced fields, and rustic villages on your third day of the Langtang Valley and Ganja La Pass trek. You will have lunch at the Trishuli Bazar before continuing to Dhunche, a big town in the Langtang area. From Dhunche, we descend to Syabrubesi. After reaching Syabrubesi, you will check in at a hotel where you may rest. Syabrubesi is a charming village known for its traditional houses and welcoming hospitality. You can explore the village and interact with the residents to get a sense of the Tamang way of life.

      After breakfast, youโ€™ll begin your trek. While the lowland terrain isnโ€™t challenging, expect some elevation changes. To reach the Lama Hotel, you will follow the Langtang Khola River. You will have to pass through forests. Youโ€™re going to cross suspension bridges and villages.

      Youโ€™ll wake up early for breakfast, then begin your trek to Langtang village along the Langtang River. The trail leads through dense forests with some uphill climbs. You will have some time to enjoy the marvellous panoramic views of Langtang Lirung (7227m). Pass by water mills, praying wheels, and the chortens with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them. As you reach Langtang village, you will make a hotel check-in and rest.

  • Day 6 Langtang To Kyanjin Gompa (3850M) (Trekking Approx. 4 Hours)

      After breakfast, youโ€™ll set off for Kyanjin Gompa, a significant monastery in the area. Leaving the village behind, youโ€™ll travel through yak pastures along the way. While trekking, you will come across Nepalโ€™s largest Mani wall, which is made of stone and covered in written prayers. The prayers inscribed on the Mani wall are believed to be carried away by the wind, spreading blessings and goodwill. After a short trek, youโ€™ll arrive at your destination and have the rest of the day to explore. You can visit the ancient Buddhist monastery, spin prayer wheels, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

  • Day 7 Rest Or Explore Kyanjin Gompa & Tserko Ri (Trekking Approx. 8 Hours)

      On this day, you will enjoy the best day of the entire trail! Although it is called a rest day, you can use your time to acclimatize, relax, and explore the surrounding places.

      Today, you will explore and go around Kyanjin Gompa. You can also hike up to the vantage point at Tserko RI, to relish the incredible sights of the mountains, glaciers, and Langtang Valley. Tserko RI marks the highest elevation point of the trek at 5,000m above sea level. After admiring the magnificent views of the mountains and their surroundings, we return to Kyanjin Gompa. Youโ€™ll return to Kyanjin Gompa in the afternoon, where you can explore the villageโ€™s ancient monastery. You can also visit the cheese factory and the glacier at this time.

  • Day 8 Kyanjing Gompa To Ganja La Phedi (4300M) (Trekking Approx. 5 Hours)

      Today, after breakfast, your adventure continues towards Ganja La Phedi. Initially, you will descend to the Langtang River and cross it. Then, the trail goes uphill through the rhododendron forests. When you arrive in the Yak pasture, you will be at a high altitude.

      It depends on the season when you are going to get to your destination. It might be a long day of walking on a snow-strewn path or a quicker and less challenging day of trekking. On the eighth day of the Langtang Valley Trek with Ganja La Pass, youโ€™ll reach the base of Ganja La Pass and set up tents for the night.

  • Day 9 Ganja La Phedi To Ganja La Pass (5122M) To Keldang (4250M) (Trekking Approx. 6 Hours)

      Today marks a challenging part of your journey as you ascend the Ganja-La Pass (5,122m), one of the most difficult passes. Youโ€™ll pass by small lakes before climbing Ganja Laโ€™s summit, where youโ€™ll find snow-covered terrain along the rocky moraine. Climbing gear may be required to complete this demanding section of the trek. From the top, you will get to enjoy spectacular views of Mt. Naya Kanga, Ganja La Peak, and several other high mountains. After superb views from the pass Then, you will start descending to Keldang from the glacier through the moraines. After descending for a couple of hours, we will reach a meadow, which is an excellent campsite in the flat valley below the glacier.

      After breakfast, youโ€™ll leave your campsite and descend along a clear ridge line, surrounded by lush grasslands and breathtaking views of the towering Himalayas. As you descend, the trail takes you through dense forests, across ridges, and over expansive grasslands. Keep an eye out for the diverse flora and fauna that inhabit this region, which will only add to the natural beauty of your journey.

  • Day 11 Yak Kharka (Dukpa) To Tarke Gyang (2,590 M) (Trekking Approx 6 Hours)

      Today, the path continues lower as you steadily descend further. Youโ€™ll lose altitude gradually throughout the day as you follow mostly descending trails. The terrain remains familiar, but as you descend, the surroundings may change. After passing through several Sherpa villages located in dense rhododendron forests, youโ€™ll arrive at Tarke Gyang, also known as Helambu. Youโ€™ll spend the night here, enjoying the quiet surroundings of this captivating village.

  • Day 12 Tarke Gyang To Sermathang (2,610 M) And Drive To Kathmandu (Trekking Approx. 4 Hours And Driving Approx. 6 Hours)

      Today is your final day of the trek. After breakfast, you will start your day. It is easy and relatively flat, and not much ascends to Sermathang. You will cross small forests along scenic trails with beautiful views of the Helambu region.

      Passing through colorful rhododendron forests, charming villages, farmlands, and old monasteries, the trail curves around the valley, surrounding the peaceful Sherpa village of Gyagyul, located between Parachin and the scenic landscape.

      The people of the village practice Drukpa Kagyu Buddhism, the same as the national religion of Bhutan. After exploring this picturesque village, you will head towards Sermathang, which is mostly inhabited by Hyolmo people. From Sermathang, you will drive back to Kathmandu by private vehicle.

      Your trip will come to an end today.
