3 Day Wae Rebo And Remote Beach Tour

Depart Labuan Bajo 09:00. We pass along mountain-top coffee farms, amazing vistas, we may visit a traditional farm, drive down into the vast ricefields surrounding Lembor, then through the savannahs of the south coast. We should arrive 15:00 at the base camp and turtle conservation center. Join the team for evening beach clean and then a clifftop dinner overlooking the Savu Sea. Simple accommodation in bunkhouse or inside tents atop the cliffs.

There may the opportunity to join the team in seeking new turtle nests and checking protective fences on our sunrise patrol (seasonal). A big breakfast on our clifftop dining area. After a few hours exploring the area and a hearty lunch - to the trail head at Denge Village. From there we ascend through the forest to Wae Rebo village. Enjoy the village and enter a different pace of life. We may have the opportunity to join in one of the evening traditions of storytelling and singing. Simple meals served and then sleep inside the massive traditional house.

Early rise for a stunning sunrise in the caldera of this long dormant volcano. Freshly locally grown, roasted and ground coffee to start the day while surrounded by the cloud forests. Then a hearty breakfast before the descent. this usually takes less than 2 hours. We return to our basecamp on the sea for Lunch, with time to stop at various clifftop viewpoints. The trip home is through the ricefields on the Lembor plataeu. If an afternoon flights are scheduled – we can arrive in Labuan Bajo by 15:30
