Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Dehradun. Drive to Sankri

Stop At: Sankri, Sankri, Uttarkashi District, Uttarakhand
It is highly advisable to reach Dehradun one day before the start of the trek. Trekkers will be picked up from the Dehradun railway station at 6:30AM. Sankri is at a distance of 220kms from Dehradun. The vehicle will be either Tata Suma or similar type of vehicle. The cost of vehicle will be Rs 5500 per vehicle which will be shared amongst the trekkers. The drive is very scenic via Mussorrie. The drive is a delightful one as it takes you along the Yamuna and Tons rivers. You will reach Sankri at 5 PM. Stay in hotel / homestay.

Day 2: Sankri to Juda Ka Talab

Pass By: Sankri, Sankri, Uttarkashi District, Uttarakhand
Today we will start our trek from Sankri after having a good breakfast. You will cross the beautiful village of Sor where all the houses are wooden. The trail is wide and goes through the beautiful dense forest of Maple and Pine trees. Then you will reach Juda Ka Talab in the afternoon. After having hot lunch you can explore the area. If the sky is clear you can enjoy the beauty of millions and millions of bright and shining stars at night.

Day 3: Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha base

Stop At: Kedarkantha, Uttarkashi 249128 India
Today is an easy day. The distance you will cover today is 3km (approx) and with moderate speed it will take 2hrs. The trail is mostly straight forward and goes through dense forests of pine and oak trees. If the sky is clear you can see the snow capped mountains comprising of Banderpooch, Swargarohini, Kala Nag.

Day 4: Kedarkantha Base to Kedarkantha peak and descent to Hargaon camp

Today is a long day but with fascinating and beautiful views from the peak. We start early morning for the peak. Once at the top, you will be welcomed with 360 degree view of snow capped mountains of Himalayas. After spending time there, we will descend and reach Hargaon via Kedarkantha base.

Day 5: Hargaon to Sankri

Stop At: Sankri, Sankri, Uttarkashi District, Uttarakhand
Today we will be descending to Sankri and with moderate speed it will take around 4hrs. Again you will going through the dense forest and further down the train you can view the Har Ki Dun Valley.
Duration: 8 hours

Day 6: Sankri to Dehradun

Pass By: Dehradun, Dehradun, Dehradun District, Uttarakhand
Last day of the trip you will head back to Dehradun. Tata Sumo or similar kind of vehicle will be arranged for the trekkers. You will reach Dehradun by 7 PM
