Day 2: Sarangkot And Pokhara City Tour

      Sarangkot

Sarangkot is a small hilltop renowned for its breathtaking sunrise views and panoramic vistas of the Annapurna range and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain). From this vantage point, you can admire the sweeping Himalayan peaks, including Dhaulagiri (8,167 meters) to the west, Machhapuchhre (6,997 meters), and Annapurna II (7,937 meters) to the east. Many visitors come here at dawn or dusk to witness the peaks bathed in brilliant colors.

      Seti Gorge

The Seti Gandaki River runs through Pokhara, often disappearing underground in several places. Despite its narrow appearance in some sections, the riverโ€™s depth can exceed 20 meters. The gorges formed by the river add to the cityโ€™s intriguing natural landscape.

      International Mountain Museum

The International Mountain Museum in Pokhara is a popular destination for mountaineers, hikers, and visitors. It was established to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first successful expedition to Mt. Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay.

      Davidโ€™s Fall

Locally known as Patale Chhango (Hellโ€™s Fall), Davidโ€™s Fall is a captivating waterfall located about 2 kilometers southwest of Pokhara airport on the Siddhartha Highway. According to legend, a trekker named David was swept away by the Pardi Khola and mysteriously disappeared into an underground passage beneath the fall.

      Gupteshwor Mahadev

Gupteshwor Cave, also known as Gupteshwor Gupha, is a site of significant religious importance for locals. The cave is revered by Hindus and features a Shivalinga, the sacred phallic symbol of Lord Shiva. The linga is preserved in its original state, and from the end of the cave, you can view the nearby Davis Fall.

      Bindhyabasini Temple

Located in the heart of the old bazaar, Bindhyabasini Temple is a focal point for religious activity and is dedicated to Goddess Bhagawati, a form of Shakti. The templeโ€™s park-like grounds are a pleasant picnic spot, and on Saturdays and Tuesdays, when devotees come to make offerings, the area takes on a festive, vibrant atmosphere.
