  • Day 1 Day 1: Johannesburg

      Day 1: Johannesburg

      Johannesburg - Pretoria. Arriving into OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg this morning, you will be met by your driver guide and transferred with other members of the group to Zebra Country Lodge 85 km away. Set on a 400-hectare reserve with a variety of African game, this tranquil lodge is just 30 km north-east of Pretoria. En route to the lodge enjoy a half tour of Pretoria, taking in the Voortrekker Monument and Union Buildings. Upon arrival check in and freshen up before enjoying the lodge's amenities. There's also an optional visit to the Ndebele Cultural Village where you can learn about authentic local Ndebele culture.

  • Day 2 Day 2: The Waterberg Biosphere

      Day 2: The Waterberg Biosphere

      Pretoria - Entabeni Reserve. After a leisurely breakfast embark on a nature walk and visit the Reptile Center. On the walk, we have the opportunity of come up close to some of South Africaโ€™s amazing wildlife including giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and antelope. Returning to the lodge check out and we travel on to the Honeyguide Ranger Camp which is located in the beautiful Entabeni Reserve in Limpopo. Entabeni is part of the 22,000 hectare UNESCO World Heritage Waterberg Bio-sphere and it's one of the most picturesque areas in Southern Africa. This unspoilt, malaria free reserve has five different ecosystems, Big Five game viewing and magnificent scenery, with ravines, canyons and waterfalls. Upon arrival at Honeyguide Ranger Camp check in, relax and freshen up before enjoying lunch (time permitting). This intimate camp consists of 15 luxury tents built on wooden decks, with thatched roofs, open air showers, a private terrace and homely comforts. This afternoon enjoy your first game drive in the reserve, with views of breath-taking Yellowwood Gorge where the road twists down the escarpment between cliffs, waterfalls and forest. Returning to the lodge enjoy dinner and relax while gazing at the stars or watching the animals pass by as they roam through the unfenced camp.

  • Day 3 Day 3-4: Entabeni Game Drives
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 3-4: Entabeni Game Drives

      For the next two days enjoy the daily activities included at Honeyguide Ranger Camp. It's an early wake up to the sound of beating traditional drums and tea / coffee is served at your tent before meeting in reception for the morning game drive. Go in search of wildlife in the reserve for the next 3 hours before returning to the camp for breakfast. Then there's the opportunity to enjoy a Bush Walk (dependent upon numbers). Relax at the lodge and enjoy lunch before an afternoon game drive, followed by an al fresco dinner in the evening. During your time at the lodge there's plenty of time to relax and experience other optional activities that are on offer including hiking, star gazing, spa treatments and Bush Sundowners.
