  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival Whitehorse - Inuvik

      Day 1: Arrival Whitehorse - Inuvik

      Welcome to Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon Territory! Your guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to the short onward flight to Inuvik. The town of Inuvik forms the center of the Western Arctic and is home to the Inuvialuit people. The place name Inuvit means "place of people" in their language. From here we will explore the Arctic coast. Your guide will give you a detailed introduction on the first evening.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Inuvik - Tuktoyaktuk - Inuvik

      Day 2: Inuvik - Tuktoyaktuk - Inuvik

      Today we drive north on the recently completed road to visit Tuktoyaktuk, an Arctic coastal village. During the village tour, we will look at the interesting pingos that rise out of the tundra. At this unique place we will learn about the history of the First Nation. If you don't know what a pingo or a muktuk is, you will find out today.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Inuvik - Eagle Plains

      Day 3: Inuvik - Eagle Plains

      Today your journey begins on the legendary Dempster Highway! As far as the eye can see, you will see the pristine tundra landscape that is home to countless caribou, moose and bears. The 730 km long gravel road is the only road connection to Inuvik. People from all over the world come here to experience it in full. Leaving Inuvik, we will drive through the Arctic coastal tundra and pass the indigenous communities of Fort McPherson and Tsiigehtchic. We will cross the Arctic Circle and stop for a brief celebration. The last stop today is Eagle Plains.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Eagle Plains - Dawson City

      Day 4: Eagle Plains - Dawson City

      In the morning we leave Eagle Plains and head south. Our destination today is the world famous gold rush town of Dawson City. Already the drive there is a highlight of its own, as we drive through impressive Tombstone Territorial Park. With a little luck we will see the imposing dark peaks of the mountain range.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Dawson City

      Day 5: Dawson City

      This legendary town was the epicenter of the famous Klondike Gold Rush of 1898. Immerse yourself in Dawson's history and try your luck at historic "gold panning" yourself. A visit to Bonanza Creek, the Jack London lodge, the Dawson City Museum and the Midnight Dome are on the agenda. Strolling through town, you can soak up the historic atmosphere. In the evening a visit to the casino is on the program. Here the Diamond Tooth Gertie's will surely thrill you with cancan dances and humorous performances.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Dawson City - Whitehorse

      Day 6: Dawson City - Whitehorse

      Today we leave the gold mining town and drive south on the Klondike Highway back to Whitehorse. Along the way you will experience spectacular views of the Yukon River, which is one of the longest waterways in North America at approximately 3200 kilometers. We will stop at the infamous Five Finger Rapids (rapids). Enjoy your arrival in Whitehorse and end the day with a restaurant visit.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Departure Whitehorse

      Day 7: Departure Whitehorse

      The morning in Whitehorse is at your leisure. Depending on your mood, you can explore the city further, shop for souvenirs or take in the vastness of the landscape on the banks of the Yukon River. Ruby Range offers you a transfer to the airport or to your connecting program.
