Most nights are spent in clean, safe and well-located hostels on a multi-share basis. Highlight: One night is spent camping on an unrestored part of the Great Wall of China (May - September)

Visit the Longmen Grottoes, a UNESCO world heritage site with over 100,000 carved Buddha’s Optional: A stunning Chinese Acrobatics Performance performed by young talents recruited from around China Optional: Take a walk through the globally recognized, Tiananmen Square Optional: Visit the Forbidden City. The largest palatial complex in the world, the grounds boast 980 buildings and a history of housing 24 different Chinese royalty Optional: Go to Jingshan Park for a bird’s eye view of the three palaces: Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace and Tiananmen Square. Optional: Go to the Temple of Heaven, the largest complex dedicated to heaven worship in the world and where ancient sacrifices were made to bring bountiful harvests Optional: Visit Nanluo district, one of the best-preserved historical areas in Beijing. It is famous for its hutongs and siheyuan courtyards as well as the bars, cafes and handicraft shops Optional: Visit the 798 art district, the Summer Palace, or any other highlights of Beijing Optional: Learn about China’s trade history with visits to the China National Tea Museum or the National Silk Museum Optional: Explore Hangzhou old town Optional: Experience the city’s nightlife with the Shanghai Drunken Dragon Pub Crawl! (Only available on Saturday. If you arrive on a different day, then you can enjoy our alternative activity, a cruise on the Huangpu River by night. Please see Day 19-21 for more details.) Optional: Take the bus to ZhuJiaJiao Water Town, a Chinese equivalent to the Italian Venice Optional: Spend your free day releasing your inner child at Shanghai Disneyland Optional: Walk to the Yu Gardens and back a bustling historical site of a former dignitary lavish family quarters Optional: See People’s Square, before heading on to the World’s busiest shopping street, Nanjing Road. Afterwards, go for a walk along the bund, a hub of global architecture. To finish off, head to the top floor of a skyscraper to enjoy some champagne whilst sitting in a hot tub. Optional: Stroll through the former French Concession to hear a little bit about Shanghai’s international history, visit a secretive propaganda history museum, take in the sights of the ultra-modern Shanghai financial district, take a local ferry cross the famous Huangpu river from east to the west of The Bund and finish off the afternoon by visiting TianZiFang a local artisan’s lane that blends the chic and traditional Optional: For the daredevils, head to the top of Jinmao Tower and brave the Skywalk!   • Day 1 Day 1: Meet Your Fellow Dragons + Travel To Yangshuo

      Day 1: Meet Your Fellow Dragons + Travel To Yangshuo

      Hong Kong & Yangshuo: Day 1 - Meet your group and first Adventure Leader in the Hostel Reception of Yes Inn @ Causeway Bay. (Leave luggage at the hostel) Take the tram up to Victoria Peak and enjoy a fantastic view of Hong Kong from high up. Pre-departure briefing on top of Victoria Peak. Take the tram down Victoria Peak and travel back to the Yes Inn @ Causeway bay for last minute preparations. Depart from the Yes Inn and cross the border. Board your 3-hour train to Guilin. Arrive in Guilin. Here you will have the choice to have dinner at this point or enjoy a meal in Yangshuo two hours from now. Check-in to your hostel (time may vary depending on whether the group decides to have dinner in Guilin, or Yangshuo)

      Day 2: Free Day To Explore + Optional Activities

      Yangshuo: Day 2 - Today you have a free day to do what you want. However, you can take part in some of our suggested optional activities - (You can either join a traditional Chinese cooking class at a practical cuisine institute, kayak along the picturesque Li River or experience traditional Chinese therapy such as hot cupping (suction cups on the back that help circulation).

      Day 3: Cruise Down The Yulong River

      Yangshuo: Day 3 - Start the morning off with a relaxing bike ride and cruise down the Yulong River on Chinese style gondolas. On your first afternoon in Yangshuo you can take part in our optional activity - (Hop on the minibus to Moon Hill and visit the local mud baths, cave complex and hot springs). In the evening let your hair down enjoy some karaoke with your fellow dragons!
