      Our local tour guide will be welcoming you at Noi Bai airport; it takes us 35 minutes driving to the centre of Hanoi to check-in hotel. Itโ€™s then your own time to relax after a long haul file. Overnight in Hanoi.  


  • Day 2 Hanoi City Tour (B/L)

      The bus and tour guide will pick you up from hotel in old quarter about 8 AM, driving to Tran Quoc Pagoda is located on an island east of West Lake (Tay Ho District), with 1500-year history, which is considered to be the oldest in Thang Long-Hanoi. It was the Buddhist center of Thang Long citadel in the Ly and Tran dynasties. With its historical and architectural values, Tran Quoc pagoda is famous for its sacred Buddha land, which attracts many Buddhists and visitors to Vietnam.

      Then, you will visit Ho Chi Minh complex ( Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, the presidential palace, house on stilts, the final resting place of  Uncle  Ho, where he lived and worked from  1954-  1969). 

      After that, visit the Ethnology Museum, this is the most recent yet probably the largest and undoubtedly the most interesting Museums in Ha Noi and Viet Nam. There are both indoor and outdoor sections, while the inโ€“housed exhibition is particularly informative, the outdoor display and activities make the museum stand out from the rest. There are a number of houses modeled after the traditional architecture of ethnic minorities, especially those who live in Northern and Central highlands.

      Lunch at a local restaurant.

      In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Literature, an ancient school of Thang Long and the first university in Vietnam, Temple of Literature is acknowledged as an ancient historical-cultural heritage that gives tourists a deeper understanding of Hanoiโ€™s years of culture and tradition.

      Continue the visit to Hoa Lo Prison which was built in 1899. The French kept mainly political prisoners here along with those awaiting sentencing at the nearby Court of Justice, also where American pilots who had been shot down and captured were kept as prisoners of war.  The  pilots  called  it, sarcastically, the โ€œHanoi Hilton.โ€ John McCain was held here at various times during his five and a half years as a POW.

      In the evening, experience the Water Puppet Show before returning to your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

      Please note: 

      - On Monday and Friday morning Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and museum are closed, instead by the Vietnamese women museum.

      - Wearing sort clothing is not recommended to visit the mausoleum and temple.

      From Hanoi, at 8AM, take the shuttle bus to head East for more than 3 hours to Halong Bay, the pride of the Gulf of Tonkin, a Natural World Heritage as designated by UNESCO in 1994. The road will pass by the Red River delta with green paddy fields and rural villages, where hard-work farmers are busy with their farming jobs, ploughing buffaloes or planting seedling. Upon arrival in Halong, weโ€™ll take a big boat to cruise the Bay to discover the magnificent beauty of this โ€œDescending-dragonโ€ bay, created by thousands odd-shaped limestone rocks and karst grottoes. After a lunch of fresh seafood on board, we can visit the Surprising Grotto, stop for swimming or kayaking, passing floating villages and approach islets to enjoy their beauty in close distance. Back to the boat for dinner late afternoon. Evening attend activities on the boat or relax at your own leisure. Overnight on the boat near Titov Beach.

      After breakfast, visit by boat to Luon Cave, a ring-shaped pool inside an island in Halong with absolutely tranquil landscape and emerald water. Back to the Wharf of Halong passing the most densely area with many islands that have been named like the Cock-Fighting Rock, Sail Island, Incense burner rock or Sea Dog Rock. Arrive at Halong Wharf around 11.00. 

      Take shuttle bus back to Hanoi. Arrive in the city around 3-4pm. Itโ€™s them your own leisure time to explore the town. Overnight in Hanoi. (Dinner at your own account).

      Our driver shall wait for you at your hotel for the transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for a short flight to Danang. Welcomed at Danang airport by the local guide and driver to transfer to Hoian, a tranquil ancient seaport developed and collapsed during 17th โ€“ 19th century. When strolling around old tradersโ€™ houses, shrines, small museums and the famous Bridge Temple of Hoian, we can feel the inspiration of numerous Vietnamese and forergn artists, who consider Hoian  a museum-in-the-open-air. Overnight in Hoian.

      After that we will head to Tra Que vegetable village, you can relax and enjoy the peaceful countryside then stroll along the vegetable villages. As a special treat, you will be involved with digging, sowing, planting, and harvesting the vegetables with hundreds of years of rudimentary tools of the farmers. You will enjoy E Water, a specialty of Tra Que vegetable village , you can feel the strong medicinal flavor from many kinds of vegetables. You could well be a farmer with many interesting activities.

      Finish your time in Tra Que vegetable village , you will ride your bicycle leisurely passing the rice fields, and villages, to come to the art of making lanterns.

      You will visit craftsmen with skillful hands, showing you how to create brightly colored lanterns. Expertly guided you could make yourself a lantern as a gift to your family.

      Finish your learning, the tour guide will take you back to your hotel, and finish your trip.

      08:00 AM: Take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of the both the Indochina wars. 

      12:00 PM: Transfer back your hotel or meeting point. 


      OPTIONAL TOUR: 

      CU CHI TUNNELS โ€“ Group tour

      Pick up time: 12:30 PM

      Duraton: 6-7 hours

      Program: Pick up at your hotel and depart to Cu Chi will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerillaโ€™s food during the war) will be served. Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun (on your own account). Return to Saigon.

      Program: Leave the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and start your trip to depart for My Tho, the town lies on the left side of the Mekong River. Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang pagoda which sated back to the late 19th century. Then boarding the sampan and cruising down the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise Islands. Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking around the country lane and see orchards, and enjoy tropical fruits, and folk song music performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation. Ride a hand-rowed sampan through the Thoi Son canal and treat yourself in the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business, visit the honey-bee farm, and enjoy a honey tea and coconut candy workshop. 

      Have lunch at a local restaurant. Break time.

      In the afternoon, time for cycling around Tan Thach village, and meeting the local villagers to experience the local daily life in the Mekong Delta. Hammock relaxing and enjoying cool breeze for those who canโ€™t join the cycling trip. Return to Ho Chi Minh City.

      Start your day with visit King Khai Dinhs Tomb, then the mausoleum of former emperor Minh Mang. Continue with a boat trip up (from the Tombs up toward the city) on the romantically named Perfume River visits Hues best-known religious site, Thien Mu Pagoda.

      Afternoon, we continue visiting the Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945.  After exploring the ruins of this wonderful monument, we will have a cyclo tour around the old town to experience the real life of the local people. After dinner, transfer to the airport for the flight to Hanoi.

      Upon arrival, meet your local tour guide and transfer to hotel for check in. Overnight in Hanoi.

      This morning meet your guide at your hotel and depart on your tour after breakfast. Your first stop will be Ho Chi Minhs Mausoleum, as well as his private residence from 1954 until 1969. The wooden ethnic minority style house, which was built on stilts, is surrounded by lovely peaceful gardens. In the same complex you will  see the One Pillar Pagoda, founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049. This structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Your next stop will be the Ethnology Museum. Free time for own lunch. The afternoon sightseeing also includes Temple of Literature, Vietnams first university.  Constructed in 1070, the gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnams past. Then we have a tour around the Sword Lake with the stop at Ngoc Son temple. Finish the day with a Water Puppet show. This is a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form depicting scenes from rural life and episodes of national history. After dinner, transfer to the Railway Station for the overnight train to Lao Cai around 22.00. Overnight on train (4-berth apartment with air-conditioner). 

      Note: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum closed on Friday so we can only see outside.

      Arrive at Lao Cai Station at 06.00. Picked-up and transferred to Sapa by car (40km mountain road from Lao Cai). The mountain landscape of Sapa is magnificent and so different from what we have experienced in the South and Central Vietnam. Donโ€™t miss to stop to enjoy its misty pinewoods, graceful terraced paddy fields and get lovely pictures of charming Hmong or Dzao girls you see on the mountainside.

      After arrive in Sapa, we will have breakfast before leaving luggage at the hotel and hang around with our guide to Sapa market street, where we can meet the montagnards and admire their handicrafts made of wood, silver, or dyed and embroidered fabrics and clothes and visit Cat Cat village of the Hmong people. After lunch, drive to Lao Chai (10km from Sapa) and trek 5km to Tavan with stops at the villages of the tribal people Hmong, Tay and Dzay en route. Back to Sapa for overnight. Overnight in Sapa.

      Today is Sunday so nothing will be better than driving overland to a market of the hill tribal people, mainly from Flower Hmong ethnical group. Early morning we will drive toward Bac Ha, about 110km from Sapa. With a dozen of tribes living in the surroundings, including Flower Hmong, Chinese, Nhang, Dzao, Nung, Phu La, Thai and King (or Viet), the market is extremely exciting esp. in the early morning. The winding road to Bac Ha helps maintain the colours (in both literal and figurative sense) of the area. In this market, we can meet hundreds of beautiful women from Flower Hmong tribe, who are famous for their wonderful craft and hand-made flowering clothes and textile fabrics, or intermingle with people from Black Hmong, Dzay, Dzao and other ethnic groups coming to the market not for purchasing stuffs, but for meeting and chatting just once a week - like in a real cultural center.

      After lunchtime, we can hike around, following the mountain people to their villages for a visit, or take our car heading to further hamlets in Ban Pho. Back to Lao Cai Station later afternoon with stop for photo shooting at Ha Khau border gate between Vietnam and China. Dinner at the local restaurant and take the night train from Lao Cai to Hanoi. Overnight on train (4-berth apartment with air-conditioner).

  • Day 15 Day 15: Hanoi - Ha Long/ Lan Ha Bay - Overnight On Board (B/L/D)

      This morning, we journey east for 4 hour through picturesque rice-farming villages of the Red River Delta, where we see everyday Vietnamese village life to reach to Halong Bay, a Natural World Heritage as designated by UNESCO since 1994 and 2006.

      12h15, embark at Tuan Chau Marina. Get on board our overnight cruise. Welcome drink will be served instantly during cruise briefing. Check in our reserved cabin and take a rest.

      13h20, enjoy a nice set lunch. Relax on sundeck and grab the unparalleled scenery of Halong Bay while cruising ahead to the Bay. Cruise through Hoa Cuong floating fishing farm.

      15h00, by tender, visit Titop Island. Have free choice of activities such as sunbathing; swimming; conquering the peak of the biggest island in Halong named of a Russian space hero and taking panoramic photos of Halong bay in the afternoon.

      16h00, challenge yourself at Luon cave by kayaking  an indispensable water activity in Halong offering the serenity of escape and cooling your soul down to recover after a 4-hour-car drive.

      17h30, go back on our main cruise for relaxation. Regain our energy by enjoying fantastic views of Halong on sundeck at dusk. 

      18h30, join cooking class on the sundeck to learn how to make Spring Roll - an authentic specialty, which is voted for Worldโ€™s 50 best foods by CNN.

      19h30, a sophisticated dinner that gives us an appetite will be dedicatedly served in romantic ambience, especially with BBQ fresh seafood and a variety of Vietnamese and Western foods.

      21h00 onwards, evening activities: watching film at the outdoor bar; playing board, guitar and card games; going fishing squid on tender. Enjoy squid cooked after fishing. 

      22h00, overnight at the quietest sleeping area. End of the first day in Halong.

      06h30, start a new day by doing Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck or be ready your camera while Dawn breaks over the sea.

      07h30, have a light breakfast with coffee, tea and bakeries on board.

      08h30, explore Me Cung (Maze) cave, which is rare in cave-lake seascape. Climb up several rugged stone stairs to admire the miracle of stalactites in a very complex structure, then overlooking gradually to the west, a great lake will appear in font of you, considered as a royal garden surrounding by natural mountain walls. Its water looks blue all year round and breathtaking from high above.

      9h30 10h30, come back to the cruise. Itโ€™s time to check out our cabin, relax among grand views. Farewell lunch is deliciously served whilst the cruise keeps on its route back to the marina.

      11h45, disembark at Tuan Chau Marina. Transfer back to Noi Bai airport for the departure flight.
