Vietnam has 54 ethnic groups. Each has its own special and original culture, creating a multi-ethnic Vietnam with many identities. If you want to have a deep insight into the culture, life, customs and traditions of the 54 ethnic groups, the Cultural Village of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups is the ideal place for an authentic experience. In the morning, the tour guide and driver will pick you up and drive to the Vietnamese ethnic groups culture village in Dong Mo, about 40km from the center of Hanoi. You will not only visit the site and the artifacts displayed in the museum, but you can directly immerse yourself in the cultural tradition of the ethnic groups. You can get to know the typical cultural facilities of the Thai ethnic group better in the north of the country and participate with them in the "Dam Duong" festival of the "Muong" people (a kind of artistic rice stomping).*** If there is still time, we can visit the Gia Rai village. For lunch, the "Muong" inhabitants will welcome you with traditional multi-ethnic dishes. If you are interested in processing the dishes, the homeowner will be happy to share them with you. In the morning you will discover one of the recommended markets of the mountain region such as Xincheng, Bac Ha, Can Cau or Cao Son, where you can experience the friendly and colorful hustle and bustle of the ethnic minorities such as the Flower H’mong, the RedDzao, the Tay or the Nung people up close. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Sapa.
Here you are free to choose whether you want to be transferred directly to your lodge in Lao Chai village or take a short hike from Y Linh Ho village to your accommodation.

Located about 7 km southwest of Sapa city on the Muong Hoa River, Y Linh Ho is a small commune consisting of a dozen small hamlets scattered on the rugged mountainous terrain with high and steep mountains offering spectacular scenery and cultural experiences.

We start trekking from Y Linh Ho village to Lao Chai village of the Black H’mong people. The Black H’mong are one of the largest minority groups in the Sapa area. They are proud of their culture and preserve their traditions and way of life. They have their own language and wear traditional indigo clothing. The H’mong people have only recently changed their way of life from nomadic to sedentary. Many traces of the past can still be seen, such as rudimentary houses, stone walls around houses...

Trekking distance: about 2km, in 1-2 hours, downhill. Trekking/walking shoes are recommended.

*** Note: The rice season in Sapa is from April to early September (August is the most beautiful month to see the rice fields as the rice turns yellow). So if you travel outside these months, you will not see the rice terrace fields. However, Sapa is not only attractive because of the rice terraces, Sapa is also beautiful because of the beautiful scenery of the mountains, the streams and the colorful clothes of the hill tribes.

Get up early to immerse yourself in the fresh air and breathtaking mountain scenery.
Enjoy breakfast and say goodbye to your host. We start a new day with a more interesting hike.
We continue hiking to Ta Van village (1,200 m) to visit the Zay people. The Zay are a fairly small minority of about 38,000 people living mainly in the mountains of northwest Vietnam. Unfortunately, some of their ancient customs have been lost over time, but many women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green color. The Zay houses are made of wood and bamboo with clay floor.
The trek continues towards Red Dao village in Giang Ta Chai. On the way, you will walk uphill and downhill and then through a bamboo forest. Giang Ta Chai village is the next stop, which we will reach by following a path over a bridge. Picnic lunch will be served near a waterfall just before arriving at Giang Ta Chai village or at a local restaurant near Su Pan village
Trekking distance: about 6 km, in 4 -5 hours, downhill. Trekking/walking shoes are recommended.

You will have free time to explore in Sapa town.
Suggestion: You can climb Ham Rong mountain or take the train across Muong Hoa valley to Fansipan cable car station. From here, take the cable car to Fansipan Peak (cost: about 10 EUR/person for the train and 30 EUR/person for the cable car to Fansipan Peak). You can buy the tickets yourself on the spot.
Transfer to Lao Cai to return to Hanoi by night train. Overnight on the train including breakfast the next morning.

Experience today the vibrant metropolis of Hanoi, which impresses with magnificent colonial buildings and pagodas. In the morning you will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum as well as the former residence of the legendary politician, in which he lived from 1958 - 1969. Afterwards you will visit the most important literary temple of Vietnam as well as the legendary Chua Mot Cot, also called the "One Pillar Pagoda". You will take a drive around the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake and visit the so-called "Jade Mountain Temple", the Ngoc Son Temple. Then take a one-hour rickshaw ride through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, one of the most beautiful in Asia. A performance of the Water Puppet Theater will round out this day.

In the morning, you will meet the chef of Red Bridge Restaurant for a personally guided shopping tour in the market. Here you will experience Hoi An firsthand, getting glimpses into the bustling life, foreign sounds and scents of the city and its markets. You will trade with the merchants and buy fresh ingredients for your lunch. After shopping, a boat will take you to the Red Bridge Cooking School on the Hoi An River. Excursion to the hills of Ba Na with a visit to the Golden Bridge
This morning, your guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the hills of Ba Na, about 25 kilometers from Da Nang. The region served as an aerial health resort for the former French colonial rulers, but quickly fell into oblivion after the occupation forces left. Only the construction of an amusement park awakened the region from its slumber, which can only be reached by a cable car that climbs almost 1500 meters above sea level. At the top you will visit Le Jardin Garden D’Amour, Luna Castle , Sun Palace and of course the famous Golden Bridge. The 150 meter long pedestrian bridge, supported on two giant hands, offers a picturesque view of the tropical rainforest of the Ba Na Hills.
From the Ba Na Hills, you will take a direct route to Da Nang Airport for your onward flight to Saigon.
