In the morning you will discover one of the recommended markets of the mountain region such as Xincheng, Bac Ha, Can Cau or Cao Son, where you can experience the friendly and colorful hustle and bustle of the ethnic minorities such as the Flower H'mong, the RedDzao, the Tay or the Nung people up close. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Sapa.Here you are free to choose whether you want to be transferred directly to your lodge in Lao Chai village or take a short hike from Y Linh Ho village to your accommodation.Located about 7 km southwest of Sapa city on the Muong Hoa River, Y Linh Ho is a small commune consisting of a dozen small hamlets scattered on the rugged mountainous terrain with high and steep mountains offering spectacular scenery and cultural experiences.We start trekking from Y Linh Ho village to Lao Chai village of the Black H'mong people. The Black H'mong are one of the largest minority groups in the Sapa area. They are proud of their culture and preserve their traditions and way of life. They have their own language and wear traditional indigo clothing. The H'mong people have only recently changed their way of life from nomadic to sedentary. Many traces of the past can still be seen, such as rudimentary houses, stone walls around houses...Trekking distance: about 2km, in 1-2 hours, downhill. We continue hiking to Ta Van village (1,200 m) to visit the Zay people. The Zay are a fairly small minority of about 38,000 people living mainly in the mountains of northwest Vietnam. Unfortunately, some of their ancient customs have been lost over time, but many women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green color. The Zay houses are made of wood and bamboo with clay floor.The trek continues towards Red Dao village in Giang Ta Chai. On the way, you will walk uphill and downhill and then through a bamboo forest. Giang Ta Chai village is the next stop, which we will reach by following a path over a bridge.
