The Black H'mong are one of the largest minority groups in the Sapa area. They are proud of their culture and preserve their traditions and way of life. We continue hiking to Ta Van village (1,200 m) to visit the Zay people. The Zay are a fairly small minority of about 38,000 people living mainly in the mountains of northwest Vietnam. Unfortunately, some of their ancient customs have been lost over time, but many women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green color. The Zay houses are made of wood and bamboo with clay floor.The trek continues towards Red Dao village in Giang Ta Chai. On the way, you will walk uphill and downhill and then through a bamboo forest. Giang Ta Chai village is the next stop, which we will reach by following a path over a bridge.
