Have breakfast at your hotel. 7.45-8.30: Pick-up at the hotel then travel to the spectacular World Heritage site of Halong Bay in the Gulf of Tonkin (approximately four hours) with a short break on the way. The bay is dotted with sandy coves, grottoes and 1,600 limestone islands, which have been formed over millennia by wind and water erosion. 12.00 – 12.30: Embark on Lavender Cruise followed by a short cruise briefing and enjoy welcome-drink. Check in the cabin. 13.15: Enjoy lunch with sampling regional fresh seafood while cruising on exquisite water, passing Incense Burner island, Fighting Cock islet, Stone Dog… Lavender Cruise will bring you to explore Ha Long Bay on the most wonderful route where just a few cruises go through. 15.00-16.30 Do kayaking through the magnificent landscape with Limestone Mountains, visit Titov Island and swimming or just relaxing on the sun-deck for fantastic views at The Bay. After kayaking, you will be back to Lavender Cruises and join sunset party. The cruise passes by Soi Sim Beach, “Rang Dua” Island to sleeping area near The Surprising cave. Joining our Cooking Class in the restaurant. A trip to Mekong Delta to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and the rich culture of the vibrant southern Delta region. Boating down the river to experience the local life, fishing port, fishing floating house, enjoy the local folk song music and seasonal fresh fruit. 7:45-8:15: Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and then start leaving the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and start your trip to depart for My Tho, the town lies on the left side of the Mekong River. Boarding the sampan and cruising down the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands. Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking around country lane and seeing orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, enjoy the folk song music which performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation. Riding a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son canal and treat yourself in the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business, visit honey-bee farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop. Have lunch at local restaurant. Break time. In the afternoon, time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meet the local villagers to experience the local daily life in the Mekong delta. 7:45-8:15: Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and then start driving to Cu Chi which located 70 km from the Ho Chi Minh City Center to the Northwest. Cu Chi was known as the “area of steel” in the war time, and the tunnel systems were over 200km, which was considered the unbreakable underground village in the Vietnam-American war. It is legendary for its network of tunnels, and is a popular destination for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors. The trip to Cu Chi will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served. We have few optional tours at the same price for you as below: Option 1: Tonle Sap Lake Half Day Tour(L) Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel then move to Tonle Sap Lake, the “Great Lake” of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia. It takes around 30 minutes to arrive at the port then we will embark on a small sampan boat and start cruising on the Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia’s biggest natural water body, one of the largest fresh-water in South Asia and its home to one of the World’s most diverse ecosystems. The experience on boat is wonderful as you’ll pass by floating village, shops, schools, restaurants, Post office, mostly seeing friendly children in their small boats going to or returning from school or fishermen who are catching fishes on the river by traditional ways. You also have chance to see romantic sunrise or sunset if you come early in morning or late afternoon. It takes about an hour and half for boat trip then we’ll return to the city and continue to visit "Les Artisans D`Angkor - Chantiers Ecoles", this workshop hires young artisans, creative teams to create, produce and design a unique collection of ornamental sculpture, lacquer, silk weaving and silk painting. The company promotes fair and sustainable development in order to provide benefits to rural communities. 12:00: Have lunch at the local restaurant then we will drop you off at the hotel. Option 2: Sunset of Floating Village included buffet dinner or fixed menu with drinks(D) At 3:00pm you’ll pick up by our knowledgeable tour guide & driver for sunset tour of floating village on the Great Tonle Lake with The Queen Tara Boat at Chhong Khneas Village. You’ll have an opportunity to stop and take some photos of the lotus flowers (seasonal) which are a deeply important flower in Buddhism. Upon arrival at the port, you will exit the vehicle and board one of mini traditional long tail boat driven by an experienced and safe local driver (life jackets are available). The boat ride through the floating village will allow you to see ordinary Cambodians going about their daily life. Fishermen, boat-makers, markets, schools, spirit houses and waving children are always in plentiful supply on this mesmerizing scenic route. Our boat also stops at the floating Crocodile & Fish Farm to learn about some of the trades people on the life work in. If catfish and crocodiles don’t interest you, there is a souvenir shop and a viewing deck on board for you to purchase some presents for loved ones or take a few photos. Later on, your boat will dock with the Queen Tara Riverboat, the biggest boat on the Tonle Sap Lake with unrivaled views of the floating villages, flooded forests and of course the best place to watch the sunset. There you will enjoy a well-deserved buffet meal (or fixed menu) and all you can drink including Cocktails, beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks for free. Afterwards you can lie back in a hammock, take a seat on the viewing deck or get your photo taken at the steering wheel. Watch as other tour groups drive past on their rickety little boats whilst you chill out, relax, and enjoy the comfort & luxury of the biggest boat on the lake. And if the weather is good, you will get a first-class view of a spectacular sunset, the likes of which you will never forget.
