Day 1: Hanoi Motorcycle Tour To Ta Xua Peak

Start our motorbike tour by leaving Hanoi on a weaving dyke-road running along the Red river till Trung Ha Bridge to avoid the heavy traffic on the main roads, then weโ€™ll follow the National Highway 32 passing extensive farming lands comprising a sea of paddy fields split by tree-lined roads punctuated by limestone karst scenery till we reach Phu Yen for lunch. After lunch at a local restaurant, weโ€™ll head across Giap wood to Bac Yen township. Here, the true challenge begins. Weโ€™ll embark on a 12 km seemingly vertical mountain trek with our bikes, a tough feat even on dry and sunny days, with chilling and breathtaking scenery pushing us forwards all the way. Weโ€™ll get to our destination at a clearing right beside the โ€œdinosaur backboneโ€. Ta Xua is a mountain range in the Bac Yen district in Son La province. At the highest point of 2865 meters, the Ta Xua peak is the tenth highest peak in Vietnam. The three most important peaks form a line that looks like the backbone of a dinosaur. It is a real off the beaten track destination for adventure travelers If time permits, we also try some dirt-track experiences to get deeper into remote villages around to see how the locals live & work otherwise itโ€™s our time for beer, and relaxation amid this remote and pristine natureโ€™s playground amid the clouds. Overnight in a house-on-stilts of the Thai people.(homestay in the village) * Summary: + Distance: 210 km + Meals: Lunch, Dinner + Offroad Ratio: 25% โ€“ 40% + Accommodation: Home-stay

Day 2: Ta Xua Motorcycle Tour To Mu Cang Chai (Yรชn Bai)โ€“ Offroad Motorcycle Tour To Tribal Villages

In this morning, after waking up a bit earlier to chill a hot cup of coffee while watching clouds flying over Ta Xua peak to enjoy a peaceful time in this amazing land before we will keep heading further to the North to experience stunning landscapes of Mu Cang Chai in Yen Bai province with high mountains, curvy passes, marvelous deep valleys โ€ฆ Right after having breakfast, we keep motorbiking across Lung Lo pass before heading up on Road 32 . During the First Indochina War, the 15km-long Lung Lo Pass, used by the Vietnamese resistance force to transport weapons, goods and food during the Dien Bien Phu campaign of 1954, was heavily bombed by the French in order to sever the front lines from the rear. Lung Lo Pass, situated in the northern province of Yen Bai, was also recognised as a national heritage by the ministry. After lunch, we ride through the Mu Cang Chai massif, almost as high as the Fansipan. From the top, it offers one of the most beautiful views of North Vietnam. The ride is challenging but very rewarding. Overnight in a hotel.  * Summary: + Distance: 220 km + Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + Offroad Ratio: 30% โ€“ 60% + Accommodation: Hotel

We motorbike straight toward the main Fansipan Mountain range. There is also the option for a very challenging back route which takes us through several river crossings. The massive mountain range dominates the road until finally we must make a splendid climb up from Binh Lu and up to the top of the highest road pass in Vietnam (Tram Ton Pass). Crossing into Lao Cai Province at over 2,000m the views looks out over the main range for miles and miles, before we descend to the mountainous Sa Pa valley. Sa Pa is located in Lao Cai Province, north-west Vietnam, and 350 km north-west of Hanoi, close to the border with China. Sapa is famous both for its fine, rugged scenery and for its rich cultural diversity. French used to consider Sapa as Summer Capital of Northern Vietnam in the early decades of the 20th century. Its naturally gifted beauty keeps attracting more and more people to spend their vacation there since then. Particularly, the place is the foremost choice for honeymoon couples!
