  • Day 1 Welcome To Ecuador! Arrival To Guayaquil

      Welcome to Guayaquil, the Pearl of the Pacific and Ecuadorโ€™s main port!

      This coastal metropolis located at the estuary of the Guayas river and land at 13.2 ft (4 m) above sea level so you wonโ€™t feel any altitude sickness upon your arrival.

      You will be able to fall in love while walking through the cobbled and narrow streets of Las Peรฑas, the first neighborhood of Guayaquil with more than 400 years of history, where its characteristic wooden houses painted with bright colors stand out. 

      Plaza del Centenario, Malecรณn Simรณn Bolรญvar, Morisca Tower, Las Peรฑas neighborhood and Santa Ana Hill, make up an incredible cultural city to which several theaters, museums, churches, artists of all kinds, bars and live shows fills its streets and avenues. 

      Upon your arrival, check in at your hotel, and spend the evening at leisure.

  • Day 2 Cuenca City Tour

      Cuenca City Tour

      You will arrive in the highlands of Ecuador at about 2,560 metres (8,400 feet) above sea level, Cuenca listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its many historical buildings and its historical importance as an agricultural and administrative center.

      After check in at your hotel, your guide will take you on a City Tour of this magical town, beginning in San Sebastian, a traditional neighbourhood of Cuenca and the western colonial border of the city. It houses the Modern Art Museum, where the famous international biennial painting contest takes place permanently. 

      You will also visit the San Francisco Market, the Flower Market, Abdon Calderon Park, the cathedral โ€œEl Sagrarioโ€, known as the โ€œOld Cathedralโ€, and lastly the โ€œNew Cathedralโ€, which is considered one of the biggest churches in Latin America. The famous gold leaf altar is found here. 

      Afterward, you will continue to a Panama Hat factory, where youโ€™ll see observe the fabrication of hats, made from a fiber called โ€œpaja toquilla.โ€ These hats range from simple and inexpensive ones, to colorful, elegantly designed and costly ones.

      Later on, you will visit โ€œBarrancoโ€, an area of terraced houses which is located next to the Tomebamba River. Finally, you will go to the โ€œMirador de Turiโ€ (a scenic viewpoint) to enjoy the beautiful views of Cuencaโ€™s landscape and watch the perfect sunset!

      Return to your hotel in Cuenca, for a well earned restful night.

      After breakfast, your guide/driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cuenca, you have the chance to buy last-minute souvenirs to remind you of the Athenas of Ecuador, before starting your journey toward the colonial city of Guayaquil.

      On the way there, you will visit the Cajas National Park. The Cajas National Park is a system of more than 200 interconnected high-altitude lagoons. The Cajas is not only the source of many rivers but even connects to the Pacific and the Atlantic Ocean.

      After a hike (up to 3 hours) around the most prominent lagoon, you will continue to Cuenca to spend the night there.
