Day 1: MUSCAT - ARRIVAL

Pass By: Muscat International Airport, Muscat, Oman
Meet & Greet at the airport by the Gray Line staff. Arrival transfer by private vehicle to your hotel.

Day 2: MUSCAT – NAKHL - MUSCAT

Stop At: Muscat, Muscat, Muscat Governorate
Breakfast in hotel. Being a rare blend of ancient & modern, Muscat is a beautiful city which lies in a maze of brown pleated Mountains. Lulled by the Arabian Sea, the city has undergone dramatic development in the past two or three decades. However, Muscat takes pride in the fact that it has preserved its lustrous culture & heritage. Our visit starts with a tour of the grand mosque, which is an architectural marvel and perhaps the new landmark of the city. The drive continues through the ministries' area, where you can see a number of modern buildings with touches of ancient, Islamic architecture. We will then visit the fish market and the folkloric Muttrah souk, with its narrow covered alleys where you can smell exotic aromas of mounds of spices, coffee beans, and ancient remedies, all enticing perfumes that fill the air. Next, engage in a visit to the Bait Al Zubair Museum, which has a fine exhibit of Omani history and culture, encompassing all of the areas traditional values. You will also have a photo-stop at the magnificent Al Alam Palace (the official residence of Sultan Qaboos) flanked by the twin Portuguese forts of Mirani & Jalali. Lunch is Free. In the afternoon, we proceed to Nakhl is a typical Omani village. It lies at the foothills of the mountains near an abundant source of water, which irrigates extensive date palm plantations. Nakhl Tour start by driving towards Nakhl Fort. As you approach Nakhl, keep an eye out on the fortress that sits on a hillock outside the town. The fort’s origin is pre-Islamic with major contributions by the Al Ya’ruba and the Al Bu Sayed dynasties. We will visit the fort and the mineral-laden hot springs water in Nakhl (Al Thowarah Hot Spring). Then we drive back through Seeb souq by the seaside before reaching Muscat at the end of the day.

Day 3: MUSCAT – NIZWA – MUSCAT

Stop At: Muscat, Muscat, Muscat Governorate
Breakfast in hotel. We start in the morning at 8.30 am to drive to the historic town of Nizwa, Forts and castles are Oman’s most striking cultural landmarks and together with its towers and city walls, have historically been used as defensive look-out points. It is estimated that there are over 500 forts, castles and towers in Oman. Our today visit will include a few of the ones which are more remarkable & striking in their architecture & style. We start in the morning at 9 am to drive to the historic town of Nizwa, Oman’s cultural capital. Our first sop will be the charming ancestral village of BIRKAT AL MAWZ at the bottom of the GREEN mountain. JEBEL AKHDAR. We will then head to visit the beautiful Nizwa center with its Fort ( outside visit ) and its massive circular cannon Tower, making it one of the most impressive forts in Oman. We will walk through the traditional Nizwa Souq. Lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch we will proceed to the Jabreen Fort .The Jabrin Castle, built in 17th century , is one of the finest of its kind. Its magnificent plasterwork, the carved doors and the painted wooden beams of the ceilings makes this castle amazingly different .After we visit the Jabrin castle, we will drive towards the JEBEL SHAMS one of the most famous mountains in OMAN , passing one of the oldest small towns of Oman Bahla with its fort ( outside visit ) , before we reach back NIZWA downtown , from where we will drive smoothly to Muscat after a long day !

Day 4: MUSCAT

Stop At: Muscat, Muscat, Muscat Governorate
Breakfast in the hotel. This morning we proceed to Dolphin cruise, The coast of Oman is blessed with a variety of Dolphins & whales, which consist of about 21 different species, including the Blue whale, which is seldom seen anywhere else in the world. In this tour, our Gray line staff will transfer you from your hotel to the jetty, where you will be able to take your boat and go on your search through the sea for these friendly creatures. While it is not guaranteed that you would spot dolphins on every trip, this is an enjoyable experience aboard the sea, where you will search to find the dolphins, and if you're lucky enough, even spot a whale, while our onboard cetacean specialist enlightens you with vast knowledge about these Interesting marine mammals.. Lunch will be on your own.
In the evening depart to explore the Muscat city in the night. We will start the tour passing by the Royal Opera ,a massive monument ordered by the SULTAN himself as a music lover .We will then make a photo stop at the illuminated Mohammed Al Ameen Mosque . Afterwards , we head towards the Old Muscat and its Corniche. We will admire the city's attractive harbor area. Then go to the Muttrah Souq to discover a mix of the old and new along with a myriad sights, sounds and fragrances from everyday life. Do a little souvenir shopping and continue to visit & drive to most prominent landmark in Muscat to the Sultan’s Palace (Al Alam Palace) to take a photo of the gates and colonnaded approach by night . Flanked by the 16th-century Portuguese forts of Jalali and Mirani, the palace is today largely used for ceremonial purposes. The lightings are just amazing. We will then head back to our start point passing the famous AL BUSTAN hotel , Wadi Al Kabir popular area , RUWI downtown to end up in our final destination to savor a great OMANI fish grilled to perfection surrounded by the locals & then transfer back to your hotel.
