Itinerary

Day 1: We depart from neither Buea, Limbe nor Douala. We shall drive to Melong and visit the Ekom Nkam

Stop At: Ekom-Nkam Waterfalls, Ekom-Nkam, Melong Cameroon
Ekom Nkam waterfall – Home of Tarzan. The area is characterized by Green forest, diverse wildlife. It has a dual cascade of 82m high. Location was chosen for Tarzans home in 1984 film “grey stoke, The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes”
We shall visit this waterfall
Duration: 1 hour

Pass By: Bamenda Ring Road, Bamenda Cameroon
It's important to note that this itinerary contains some parts of the Bamenda ring road tour. Some of the attractions we have to visit on day's 1 and 2 on this itinerary are included also and it's the same route that connects Douala to Bamenda. Attractions like Ekom Nkam waterfalls, the Manengouba twin lakes, Metche waterfalls and Foumban palace are all usually part of the Bamenda ring road tour with departure from Douala.

Stop At: Melong, Melong, Littoral Region
Melong is a town with a lot of agricultural potentials. We shall stop by and buy some fruits on our way.A lot of food stuffs and fruits are sold in Melong, we have Pineapple, Sugar cane, Sour saw, paw paw, banana and many other plantations on our way.
We stop here for Lunch

Day 2: Mt Manengouba(2411m)- Twin lakes-Dschang Civilization Museum

Stop At: Mount Manengouba, Cameroon
The mountain is 2,411 meters above sea level and has a twin lakes. It's surrounded by rolling hills, lush vegetation and smoky skies and there are some cattle raring at its Savannah slopes. We shall hike from the town of Melong to the top of this mountain.
Duration: 5 hours

Stop At: Muanenguba Lakes, Cameroon
A pair of twin lakes on top of Mount Manengouba. There is a Female and a male lake, the female is in the shape of the African map and its water appears blue. The male lake which is beside the female lake, its water is green in color. This green male lake is landlocked and smallerWe continue to the summit and later descend back to Melong
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Museum of Civilization, Very prominent on edge of town., Dschang Cameroon
The museum tells the story of Cameroon and how it came about to be. It goes through the migration of tribes across the country and how each Kingdom or region is unique along with the history of the colonial period and the origin of some of the tribes
We also visit the Dschang municipal lake which is located just opposite the museum

Stop At: Bafoussam, Bafoussam, Southwest Region
We have to drive and spend the night here
Duration: 1 hour

Day 3: Baffoussam-Metche waterfalls-Baleng palace and Lake Baleng-Foumban Palace and craft market

Stop At: Chutes de la Metche, Bafoussam Cameroon
The metche waterfall is a beautiful waterfall which is found in Baffoussam.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Foyer BALENG, Unnamed Road, Bafoussam, Cameroon
We drive to the Baleng chiefdom, we visit it’s palace and museum. We later visit the lake Baleng before driving to Baffoussam

Stop At: Foumban Royal Palace & Museum, Rue du Palais, Foumban Cameroon
The Bamoun people are the local inhabitants. The town is home to the Foumban Royal palace and it’s ruled by a Sultanate, home to museum of traditional arts and culture, a big market and a craft center. The Museum of Arts and culture in Bamoun has extensive collections which are exhibition on Bamoun history , cooking implements, pipes, statues, gongs, musical instruments. The Rue des Artisans is home to sculptors, basket makers, weavers. It’s one of the best places in the Central African region to buy wood carvings.

Stop At: La mosquee de Foumban, Foumban Cameroon
We shall have an outside glance of the Foumban Mosque
Duration: 10 minutes

Day 4: Mount Mbapit- Batoufam palace- Bandjoun

Stop At: Mount Mbapit, Cameroon
Mount Mbapit is 1988m above sea level and it's a beautiful mountain with a lake found at the top of the mountain. We shall drive by car half way to the mountain from Foumbot, before hiking for an hour to arrive the lake Mfou which is found up Mt Mbapit

Stop At: Musee de Bandjoun, Bp 141 5km from Bandjoun city centre, Bandjoun Cameroon
We shall visit this palace of Bandjoun with is beautiful huts and artifacts displayed at it's museum
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Baham Museum, Bp 73, Baham Cameroon
We shall visit the Baham palace with it's beautiful huts. Wewill discover it's rich and beautiful museum fill the rich history of the Baham people.
Duration: 1 hour

Accommodation included: overnight at Centre climatique du Bandgoun, this is a 2 star accomodation.

Day 5: Bandjoun- Batoufam Palace-Bangante- Yaounde

Stop At: Batoufam, Cameroon
We shall drive from Bandjoun towards Yaounde with a stop at Batoufam to visit it's rich palace and musuem.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Bangangte, Bangangte, West Region
We shall stop here for Lunch
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Yaounde, Yaounde, Centre Region
On this last day, we depart Bafoussam for the town of Yaounde which is the political capital city of Cameroon.
Duration: 1 hour

Pass By: Bayangam, Cameroon
We shall drive pass Bayamgam on our way to Yaounde
