Two nightโ€™s standard twin sharing Hotel in Kathmandu with breakfast. Trekking Lodge (Tea House) accommodations during the trek.

Meals whilst you are in Kathmandu Lunch and Dinner. Nepal entry visa fee (you may easily issue the visa on arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport โ€“ Kathmandu). $25 USD for 15 days Visa. All the alcoholic and nonalcoholic cold and hot drinks on trek ( i.e. those you choose to purchase along the way and during evenings in the Tea Houses) All desserts sweet things like chocolate, cake, pie, pudding. Tips for the guide, porter, and driver (Tipping is expected) Kathmandu sightseeing monument entrance fees($30 USD per person) Excess baggage more than 15kg for Lukla flight. Please be advised that if you need to return early from the trek due to reasons such as sickness, unfavorable weather conditions, personal issues, itinerary modifications, or any other unforeseen circumstances, the following conditions apply: - Any payments made for flights, hotel accommodations, mountain room bookings, meals, and related expenses are nonrefundable. - You will be required to cover the costs of hotel stays, meals, and other expenses in Kathmandu independently. Additionally, please note that during the months of March to May and September to November, all flights will depart from Ramechhap. It will be necessary for you to make a 4-5 hour drive from Kathmandu to Ramechhap in order to catch your flight. Kindly consider these terms and arrangements carefully before commencing your trek.   • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival In Kathmandu Transfer To Hotel.

      A Sherpa Expedition & Trekking representative will meet you at the airport and take you to our hotel. The remainder of the day you will have an opportunity to wander around Thamel and do some last-minute shopping. In the evening your guide will give you a brief introduction and provide valuable information about the trek.  

  • Day 2 Day 2: Fly To Lukla (2,804 M) & Trek To Phakding (2,610 M) 4-5 Hours.

      This morning you will be picked up from your hotel by our guide who will take you to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport.  The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla takes around 35 minutes. The journey begins with a relatively easy trek passing a Kani (ceremonial gatehouse) before the trail descends then heads above Kyangma Village with its large Gompa (monastery). We then continue to Cheplung village where the trail passes through community forest close to the Dudh Koshi River. After crossing the suspension bridge you climb up and across the ridge to Ghat passing Mani walls, Chortens, and prayer wheels. After a short walk from Ghat, we reach Phakding.

      After breakfast, we head out on the trail and cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Kosi River before passing through Tok-Tok, Benkar, and Monjo and then arrive at Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate where you will be required to buy a trekking permit. After following the river bed for a few hours and crossing the last Hillary suspension bridge, there is a steep uphill trek to Namche Bazaar. Namche has a good selection of restaurants, an internet cafรฉ, pubs, post office, ATM, and banks.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Acclimatization Day At Namche Bazaar.

      This pleasant town is the perfect place for "acclimatization". Health specialists strongly recommend we spend the day being active. From Namche, we can take a short hike to Everest View Resort, Thame, visiting Khunde or relax and wander around Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the main center of the Everest (Khumbu) region and has government offices and a colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday. A short trek of just a hundred meters will help us to properly acclimatize. Our guides will also take us to the Tourist Visitor Center near the headquarters of the Sagarmatha National Park where we can observe an assortment of relics related to the first mountaineers to climb Everest, Sherpa cultural artifacts and discover the varied plant and animal life of the Everest region.

      The trail begins with a steep climb up from the valley while passing through rhododendron, juniper and large conifer forest that enlivens the senses with their fragrant aroma. The trail passes through Yak Kharka (meaning grazing pasture for yak) and various Sherpa villages. Throughout the trek, we will be blessed with awesome views of Khumbu La Pass and Tengboche.

      Today the trail leads us through the valley among juniper forests. Along the trail, we have incredible views of Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Khangtega (6782m) and Mt. Thamserku (6623m). In the afternoon we will reach Machhermo Village (4470m) where we will spend the rest of the day exploring the village and surrounding countryside. Tonight we stay at Machhermo.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Trek To Gokyo (4750M), After Lunch Climb To Fifth Lake And Back To Gokyo 5-6 Hours.

      After breakfast the trail continues and then before your eyes is the towering Mt. Cho Oyu (8281m) โ€“ real wow moment!  Further on we come to the gorge at the base of Mt. Khangtega. Also capturing our attention is the enormous mass of Ngozumpa Glacier. After stopping for a lunch break we head to the Gokyoโ€™s fifth lake where cameras can be unleashed! A steady ascent takes us to Gokyo where we stay the night. 


  • Day 8 Day 8: Hiking Up To Gokyo Ri (5,370M) & Back To Gokyo 4-5 Hours.

      Today is a more physically demanding day as we trek up a steep trail up to the peak of Gokyo RI (5357m). The spectacular views will leave you captivated and have your camera at full speed! The magnificent views of Gokyo Valley, the massive Ngozumpa Glacier (worldโ€™s highest), incredible panoramic views of the entire Khumbu region, including the towering peaks of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu and Gychung Kang (7952m) will leave you gob-smacked! We will then trek back to the foot of Cho La pass where we will stay in a dormitory.  

  • Day 9 Day 9: Cross The Renjo La Pass And Trek Down To Lungden (4350M) 5-6 Hours.

      Up before dawn, we head off to our final high pass following the trail at the end of Gokyo Lake where along the way we are again gifted with more awesome views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse and Taboche, before crossing Renjo La Pass. This is also one of the most demanding parts of our trek, but once we reach the top we will be rewarded with spectacular 360-degree views of Mt. Cho-Oyu and other towering peaks. After a short break, we continue our trek to the frozen lakes below Renjo La Pass before heading on a long trek downhill to the small village of Lungdeng โ€“ close to Nangpa-La Pass The trail then takes us to Marlung village where we stay for the night just above the Bhote Koshi River. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Trek Down To Thame (3850M) And Visit Thame Monastery 4-5 Hours.

      Today we head to Thame (3800m) where we will visit the historic Thame monastery and observe the soothing and enchanting Buddhist prayers. We can also get a real feel for Sherpa hospitality, traditions, and culture of the local people. Tonight we will stay at Thame and prepare for tomorrowโ€™s descent back to Namche Bazaar. 

  • Day 11 Day 11: Trek To Namche (3440M) 5-6 Hours.

      The trail today takes us through a number of villages including Khumjung and on the trail we will have the mountains behind us as head to the famous Buddhist town of Namche Bazaar, alive with its wealth of Sherpa culture and pulsating atmosphere, where trekkers rest and share their stories. Tonight we stay at Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 12 Day 12: Trek Down To Lukla (2,804M) 6-7 Hours.

      This is our last day on the trail as we head back to our starting point at Lukla. This is a time to look back on the amazing journey and breathe a sigh of relief and accomplishment. The afternoon is free time for you to do whatever you please, whether it be a hot shower or a celebratory few drinks at a bar in the evening.

      After our adventure into the Himalayan Mountains we head back by plane from Lukla to Kathmandu. After arriving at Kathmandu you are free to wander around Thamel and do some last minute shopping before your departure tomorrow.

      Your adventure into the mountains will be firmly entrenched in your memory โ€“ and in your camera. A representative from Sherpa Expedition & Trekking will take you to the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. On your way home youโ€™ll have time to plan your next adventure and explore the Himalayan Mountains of Nepal.
