AYUBOWAN-! Welcome to Sri Lanka, the pearl of the Indian Ocean, a land like no other and 11 days of explorations showing you the best of the ancient history & culture, the lush green tea estates and waterfalls, the wildlife gaming, existing soft adventures, and the golden sandy beaches. Upon arrival at Colombo CMB airport, you will meet your tour leader and you will be transferred to your hotel (we can pick you up from any hotel in Colombo or Negombo as well). The ﬁrst destination will be Negombo Coastal Town (20min away from the airport), which has long been known as the most popular beach in Sri Lanka, famous for its golden sandy beach, food, and fun.

DAY PLAN:

For day one, we haven’t planned any activity, thus you are free to arrive in Sri Lanka at any time (we offer 24/7 airport transfer service).

You will spend the day relaxing on the beach and pool of your cozy hotel.

After having a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will have a wonderful coastal drive towards Wilpattu National Park. We choose to visit this park because we believe it is less crowded and offers better experiences. Also, the same animals can be seen here at Yala National Park.

DAY PLAN:

En route to Wilpattu, step into the Munneshwaram Hindu Kovil, an important regional Hindu Temple complex.

Late afternoon, enjoy a 4x4 jeep ride searching for leopards hanging on trees or whispering through the bushes, crocodiles patrolling the river or wild elephants drinking water and playing around under the evening sunset.

After breakfast, you’ll be heading towards the Eastern Coast of Sri Lanka (2.5hr drive) and you’ll visit Trincomalee, an amazing multicultural town with lovely places such as Nilaveli Beach, Natural hot wells, Pigeon Island and Koneshwaram Kovil.

DAY PLAN:

En route to Trincomalee, stop at Anuradhapura ancient city (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and visit Sri Maha Bodhi, the sacred tree under which Lord Buddha attained Enlightenment and that has stood with pride for more than 2200 years.

Upon arrival at your hotel in Trincomalee, you will visit Koneshwram Kovil, Fort Fedric and few other attractions.

Afternoon, you could grab a towel to relax on the beach and sun bathe while enjoying a cocktail under the shade of a palm tree. You have two days to relax and explore around this wonderful place. Thanks to its white sands and gentle waves, this beach is the ultimate getaway for those who desire a relaxing vacation in Sri Lanka. Here you will experience a quiet bliss in a tropical heaven, far away from the busy and chaotic life.

Also, Trincomalee is one of the best places in the world to spot the biggest creature on the planet. If you are up to it, jump into a boat to watch as blue whales swim and dive around. Please note that whale watching is a SEASONAL activity.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast with a hot cup of Sri Lankan tea or a coffee, you will take a wonderful journey across the stunning Sri Lankan countryside towards Dambulla city, which is the central point of the cultural triangle in the island.

DAY PLAN:

Upon arrival at Dambulla, you’ll enjoy a wonderful cultural village tour while exploring the beautiful countryside. It is a great opportunity to get close to unique local culture & life style of Sri Lankan people. It will start with a Tuk Tuk ride and a catemaran boat ride across the lake before reaching the farmer’s house where you will experience a Sri Lankan curry cooking demostration & authentic countryside food.

Afternoon, you will visit Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress (UNESCO World Heritage Site), since it’s the best time to witness and capture the beautiful scenery of sunset from the summit. King Kasyapa (477 – 495 AD) built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colorful frescoes. Known as one of the wonders of the world due to the amazing architecture & technology being used.

Evening, If you are interested, you could also experience an Ayurvedic Herbal Massage at your Resort. From a healing perspective, Ayurvedic head massage is said to relieve mental stress and fatigue and to help achieve calmness and clarity.

After breakfast, proceed towards Kandy, the capital of the last Sinhalese kingdom. It’s set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and bio-diverse rainforests. Kandy is also famous for its sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth Relic.

DAY PLAN:

After breakfast, you will visit the Royal Cave Temple and the Golden Buddha Statue (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Dambulla has the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 meters over the surrounding plains and houses 5 cave temples with some of the most unique and signiﬁcant historical drawings.

En-route to Kandy, you will visit Matale Spice Garden.

Thereafter, you’ll be heading to Kandy and will visit the temple of tooth relic (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

Evening, you’ll enjoy engaging with a cultural dance show which is inspired by Sri Lankan arts, traditional dance and cultural heritage.

After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a wonderful journey through the lush green tea plantations and the waterfalls towards Sri Lanka’s tea region of Nuwara Eliya. It is often referred to as “Little England” because many of the buildings in this city retain from the British colonial period, such as the Queen’s Cottage, the General’s House, the Grand Hotel, the Hill Club, and the Town Post Ofﬁce.

DAY PLAN:

Morning, step into Gem Museum; get to know more about the World-renowned and most prestigious Sri Lankan gems and jewelry and how they have been made using traditional techniques.

Thereafter, you will visit the Peradeniya Royal Garden, which is known as one of the best botanical gardens in Asia.

En route to Nuwara Eliya, while driving through the cold misty hills, stop at a tea plantation. You’ll observe the rich tradition of processing the prestigious brand of Ceylon tea kept alive up to date. Make sure to end your factory visit in style over a perfectly blended cup of tea (Entrance fees Included).

Afternoon, explore on your own while walking through Nuwara Eliya city center (British colonial architecture; iconic post office/grand hotel/Victoria park) and the fruit and vegetable market.

Morning, you will enjoy a spectacular train journey from Nanu-Oya station to Ella village (Train tickets will be arranged at the station / Class category is subject to availability). It is known as one of the most picturesque hill country train journeys in the world.

Explore the village, Ella is everyone’s favorite hill country village due to the fact that it’s a wonderful nature-friendly location. The Nine Arch Bridge, a major tourist attraction in Ella, is a massive bridge built entirely of solid rocks, bricks and cement without using a single piece of steel. Ella is a great place for walking and climbing and its most famous trekking route is “Little Adam’s Peak”.

Evening, you could chill out at the village center where there are lots of restaurants, pubs and also evening entertainments. Ella is a stunning location that anyone who is visiting Sri Lanka should not miss out.

It’s a magnificent place characterized by white sands and coconut palms growing right from the edge of the sea as if in imitation of a postcard of a perfect tropical beach.

DAY PLAN:

After breakfast, you will be heading towards Galle, a city well known for its Fort (UNESCO World Heritage Site). It is the intersection where classic Dutch and British architecture meets a tropical setting, creating a vivid atmosphere in beauty.

DAY PLAN:

En route proceed to Galle, En-route stop at Matara to witness and take pictures of the most famous Sri Lankan stilt Fishermen.

Upon arrival to Galle city, walk through Galle fort listening to the creaks of wooden saloon doors and observe how European architecture mingles with South Asian traditions nowadays ﬂooding cultural enthusiasts on a global scale. Historical Galle Lighthouse stands proudly on the southeast tip of the fort.

Next experience an amazing boat ride in “Madu” river through the mangroves (red water trees). Along the madu river on the boat you will arrive to Fish farm and if interested get to try Sri Lankan fish therapy.

Thereafter, you’ll visit a turtle hatchery center where baby turtles learn to take their first swim and injured adults are rehabilitated back into the ocean.

Upon arrival at Colombo, you have the opportunity to visit all the highlighted places in the city such as Red Mosque, Gangarama temple, Independent square and so on.

Afterwards, Perhaps, you may pop into a famous and internationally renowned restaurant in Colombo to end your trip over an unforgettable meal.
